What is your personal plan for DCUO?

I haven't played DCUO for more than two weeks now. I let my sub run out but I still had hopes that the devs will do something to improve the game. To help out the community and the devs, I decided that I would get a gaming computer and test specific things that people who don't have the test server are curious about. That would help out the community somewhat and I would personally have a chance to improve this games future.

Unfortunately, that idea was destroyed after the release of GU 50. I'm most likely not going to log into DCUO for a very long time. It's kind of sad to think that a game I loved for over 4 years is becoming something I no longer want to see again.

My plan is simply to lurk, observe and return full time if I can find a nice group of friendly, reliable and motivated players to play with. The game depends too heavily on team work that it's a waste of money to buy content or Legendary membership if I don't have a team.

Why buy Episode 15 if there's no guarantee I'll be able to run it at least once a week with reliable, friendly people? My hope is that happens when Cross Play happens.

The game is getting better and is getting a lot right at the moment, despite all the despair. The new approach to content is a welcome change and tonight they just announced an overhaul to Promethium Lockboxes, giving members another great perk. It's on the right path but it's also steered off course for too long and where they are right now isn't great. I remain hopeful that they'll get to where they want to be before we're in danger of the game closing, though.

If my wishes can't be fulfilled, I'll always maintain a passing interest in the game. After all, it is a game based on a license I'm a huge fan of. I will just wind down my overall contributions in the community and the little play time I have now will be reduced, too.

I have been legendary since the beginning before the game went free to play, August 1st is my last day, the state the game is in is horrible, going to delete the game and not come back until they either redo the entire game, or release a whole new game.

I am done. Was sitting on the fence but with my league moving on, so am I. Its been fun, but the recent state of the game leaves little to be desired. But I honestly see the Devs getting rid of the PC server, keeping the PS4 and adding Xbone.

My personal plans? Keep playing ESO :D

...although that may change if they don't pull finger and add an effing text chat option...

Same plans as me lol Although I've been dealing with the no text chat option since the people I play ESO with are same people I played DCUO with. I do wish they'd implement text chat though for those off encounters with randoms.

I never knew I'd miss something so much!

There's even a thread about it on the official forums...58 pages, 1.7K posts, 41.8K views...and exactly 5 ZOS responses, all relating to moderation.

    Sounds somewhat familiar ;)

Hey dev team, please dont misunderstand the posts in this thread. We all love this game, truly LOVE it. Though many are burnt out after years of play and unwelcome changes.

Even if not playing we want this game to succeed and get better. We ALL want something great to come back to one day.

So please, keep at and dont take our comments of leaving the wrong way. Still a lot of love for your game and the effort you put in...

Ive debated for a long time what to do. Our league hall is a shell of what it once was. We went from 168 to 78 yet I may find 1 or 2 log daily. This is where we are headed in my league after 3 1/2 yrs. And yeah I cried the friends made on this game changed my life and made rl friends we get together 2 times a yr. I just am going miss the comradeship, the laughter, the tears, and the shoulders you knew you could rely on. My sub will continue as long as servers are up. I still will support DCUO but i won't be playing as much as before.

I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment.

Me personally, I'll be sticking around until at least Atomic. Plus I really want to fight Darkseid.

Well in August, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 beta will be out so i will see if it yanks me back in to the CoDverse....if it does, then dcuo playing time will be cut drastically unless we are bombarded with God content/changes

My plans. Keep playing the game. I love it and I love the fact that I can adapt. The mark system doesn't bother me. FOTM powers, doesn't bother me either. I just switch to a different toon. I love the new content ideas coming and I love how they are releasing them. It's even easier to level now so my new main is up to where most of my league is.

As for the 12 relevant pieces of content. It never bothered me. Now I don't have to grind old content to get different marks for rent. I do still run old content because I love helping new players. The game is fun and I see new people all the time. I took my original character and leveled up with new friends that were new and didn't understand the game. Helping them made it worth it again and got them out of them to see the game in a positive light to where they are still playing instead of getting stuck into the game is broken crowd.

My personal plan 4 months ago was to create a villain named Chuckie and make youtube videos of Chuckie running around Metropolis and Gotham city. I planned on running the vault everyday until I got the sinister clockwork key so I could truly make Chuckie come to life. I had no idea how rare the trinkets were in the vault and that getting one like that is next to impossible. So my plan for dcuo now is to play until my 3 month subscription runs out at the end of this month, and leave this game. I might come back in October though as the Halloween event looks pretty cool. But I'll come only with the premium membership.

Honestly i am in same boat as far as the marks system and the FOTM powers go, i have been playing this game since launch and only tried 3 powers (gadgets, ice then earth) and i strictly play my support role so the whole DPS balancing issues never phased me but what does bother me is how little (practically ZERO) attention we support players get. It's ridiculous, everyone wants a troll and some are darn near begging in the LFG for a tank yet zero attention in pretty much 50 game updates. As i stated previously i do not think i will quit but depending on how these new episodes in august turn out and to see if my boys actually come back i might let my sub expire and wait till march or April to return to a whole lotta content at that point

If that actually happens, it will be nice to see you on GTA Online more often... haha

My personal plan for DCUO? Leave it deleted from my PS4, as well as all 6 of my toons. Game went downhill in a hurry, and I'm glad I un-subbed when I did.

seeing that you have 6 toons that means you put lots of time in the game, i would recommend checking in every other month or so and try to keep checking the forums for any improvement, it'll be a shame to have wasted all of that time. Just a suggestion though
