So i accidentally deleted my shoulder that was +81 defense, but i swapped it with a 61 toughness one. What is more important? Makes you live for longer and take more damage?
It depends on what type of content you are playing. Defense interacts with NPCs while Toughness interacts with Player characters. They are essentially the same thing, except for those differences. Basically: Defense = PvE Toughness = PvP
Defense and Toughness do the same thing in that they mitigate damage. 71 Toughness/Defense = 1% damage reduced. Difference is... Toughness = Reduces damage done by other players to your toon. So it is used for PvP. Defense = Reduces damage done by NPCs. So it is used in PvE against bosses and adds. They both are good but for different things. When you are very low level you won't need to worry about this as much...After level 30 is when it matters, so don't stress yourself for now.
