Skill points aren't a measure of skill in almost any way. They're a measure of your ability to farm feats, and therefore are in no way a measure of "good" and "bad" players.

Y'all need to stop equating skill with skill points. they're not the same thing.

If they gave away sp game dead Period!!!!

You want open world pvp back then 2 things need to happen.

1 no am's on other players

2 u can use ur breakout trinket

    Problem solved for that!!!

    Pvp overall ain't that bad.

Fire tank n heal together u can't beat it so fire needs a lil less something. Not a nerf to the ground but healing in general needs toned down some. I can beat everything 2v2 but that cuz healing is a lil overpowerd rite now.

Sp used to measure how good a player was knowing the games mechanics and it meant they were good. They did matter and they should.

If they aren't then if ur withing the 10 sp max that means u got the harder feats in the game on that current tier.

Not hey im better then u cuz I got the EO feat 6 tiers later.

There needs to be some way if seperation for working hard and being a better player that's how the game was set up.

Overall I obviously don't work on the game but everyone being equal n doing notging for it is just dumb.

    Pvp is about rps system

Pve about stats and skill .

Not looks at you tube video learns good players loadout and is now good wit 80 sp.

That's incredibly horrible and wuts the point.

    Wrong.
The population now is much lower from what it used to be. And that's because the game became too easy and not fun. The reason why it became like that is the casual players that cried to nerf content.
In years like 2013 when the content was challenging population was much higher and DCUO was very fun.
But after the cry nerfs that came from casual players a lot of veteran players leaved this game. So nerfing content = throwing away good customers that played this game for years.

By forcing the idea of 200+ sp requirement for new raids casual players will start to finally learn this game and improve their performance while farming skill points instead of being carried through new content.
And after that devs can finally create challenging content to bring back the old players.

Casual players are spoiled brats that want things to be handed to them. They are too lazy even to learn basic stuff about this game.
So many players these days with 150+ cr and below 150 sp that can't even pass Bombshell Paradox or Happiness Home raids.
If you make a group that completely composed from new players to do a new raid then the chances for this group to fail are 90%.
    Check this video out

You'd think after that "how these players even got this far in DCUO to even enter PB if the suck so much?". The answer is they were carried by old players to get that far. But in that PB instance they weren't that lucky and got each other instead of experienced players.

Right now people with low sp are dragging this game down.

facts are facts. It's a fact that only 2% of the game population has more than 200 sps. Its a fact that your idea would cut off new content for all but 2% of the gaming population. Its a fact that that is a terrible business model. Its a fact that literally nothing your wrote changes any of those facts, nor did it really even really touch them as a topic. Congratulations, you wrote a wall of meaningless garble.
  7. LightOfQuantum Committed Player

    My post stated the facts.
It's your posts that are a meaningless garble. From where you even got the 2%? From randomness I guess.
You just another casual player with low amount of sp that tries to justify why he's a noob. Just another leech like the ones from a video I posted earlier. A leech that clings to the old players to be carried through the game.

SP has nothing to do with content difficulty. The content can be beaten with below 100SP. The content itself is a problem. People are leaving the game because of the following:

    Poor progression system
Removal of the importance of roles in content
    Poor content design
    Poor power balancing
Poor sense of direction in storylines and poor sense of direction where the game is developing

Well it is also a fact that most of the pugs groups, fail at the end content raids, because they got so fast there, that they donĀ“t know what their doing, nor even know how to use their powers, and are underskilled, and yes low SP too. So they need to refrain those players from reaching end content without Knowing the basic stuff, otherwise, the game would get worse and worse and worse, not just for vets, but for all the people that actually know how to play and the mechanics of the raids, end content shoudnt have to be be the learning field for new players, as it seems it is now

    AGREE, SO TRUE

Still Sp reflects how much a player has played, for every bad player With 200+sp , there will be 100 bad players w150-sp, or 500 w less 100sp, and all of them are in the end game, most of them if pugging failing, thanks to the point you posted before

    This is very true.
They work on script 5 min, use some old map and that's it. There's you NEW monthly content.
The story of DCUO is just too pathetic. It was alright at the beginning but now it's a complete joke.

I love how in Marvel Heroes devs use a cool story from comics and movies or how in SWTOR there's a cool story for each class.
Pretty much in every other online game there's a better story than in DCUO.
