    3 main reasons

#1 the combat is still faster imo then any other MMO game out there
#2 ive invested so much time and $ into this game that its not easy to just walk away
#3 my league mates. I consider most of em friends and enjoy laughing with them and messing around.

It had me at DCUO. :p

But seriously, because someone is holding a pistol to the back of my head telling me to play or else.

Seriously though, its because I have no life and no friends and I need to lose weight and my wife left me, my dog ran away, my truck broke down....wait, that's a country song. o_O

For real though, I have been here since launch and I love the combat, the content, and the new family I have found. This game let's me be a powerful character that destroys enemies and overcomes obstacles. :)

And I've been here too long and have too much tied into it to leave. ;)

DC Universe inspired gameplay and stories.
    Feeling powerful.
Living vicariously through my toon to live out (virtually) my dreams as a child. (LIES, I dream about it now @ 40)!
    A certain....Je Ne Sais Quoi!!
Possibly my favorite game of all time. Top 3 without question!!

    Long Live DCUO!!

Hey - didn't you just tank Blackest Day with my toon? You dc'd but didn't come back, unfortunately.

That raid fell apart - right after you dc'd. The reason was the dps's I believe - you were the HIGHEST one, as well. I believe they were trying, but simply too inexperienced. I wanted to switch but "my" Dps isn't great either and they needed a Controller too.

I haven't seen burn that slow in BD in a LONG time.

There were so many books spawning at Lyssa that I thought I was in a Library, lol.

EDIT - you were the SECOND highest DPS. The top DPS left about 15 min after you dc'd.

Ha!! I knew that I knew Mace Cosmos from somewhere!!
Yea man, the lag was killing me. Either from DC or my crappy Time Warner Cable, either way it was hard to function. The last time I got K.O.'d when I respawned at the rally point I couldn't move anything. Couldn't warp, couldn't switch to dps and while I was standing there, easily an ENTIRE level from the nearest add or boss my guy was taking mad damage, getting heals and power, and my screen was going red like I was still in combat. Lol.
I thought I'd reblog but I kept getting the "can't connect" garbage so I thought "F" it! I don't think we'd have made it through anyway. The burn was SLOW. Obviously if my Ice Tank was 2nd in damage, lol.
I went and saw Civil War instead.....well worth the trade off btw!!
Add me though man, if you need a tank or dps. I know YOU werent the problem in there and I promise, the only thing that pulls me away is a garbage connection. Oh and my wife. And sometimes my kids. Rarely my dog. And tacos......

    Long Live DCUO!!

    1. I'm a Dc Fan,
    2. And we get to be Virtual Superheroes which fulfills everyone's dream even though it's through a Screen.

Did you have to show the Video? Cause now I'm sad.
  8. Ala Rebeldex Loyal Player

Because of the combat system. I just love it and i still donĀ“t found anything close to it in other mmorpg.

Obviously there a things wrong with the game or issues people including me have which have been discussed elsewhere. That being said, I do love the game.

The cool factor of fighting alongside the likes of Batman and green arrow.

The ability to wield such cool powers

The customization is truly better IMO than any mmo out there.

I love the big open world cities we have, I wish we had more to do in them but nonetheless. Sometimes I just stand on top of a building in metro or gotham and stare out over the city, it's truly amazing and enormous. Since we can fly or run everywhere I think the size gets taken for granted.

The IP, love the comics aspect of it obviously.

I love the ability to interact with others.

There's a lot to love about the game which is why when you see so called negative threads it's not that they are trying to be negative, it's the fact that we do like the game and want it to succeed but become frustrated with certain aspects and need to express that. Some do it better than others.

I enjoy finding new and cool ways to make costumes. Showing it off to other players then seeing my ideas copied by a large portion of games community.

Hey Man I figured you had given up after I didn't see you for a few min so no worries. I totally understand - I would've chosen the exact same thing.

Yes I added you right after you dc'd at Lyssa. Your stats does not surprise me because you and the other dps were basically carrying the raid party lol.

I understand the family thing as well - after all, THEY are the reason why it's taken me over 3 years to get to 241 SPs but it's all good:D. I wouldn't change a thing.

Thanks again Man and hope to see you soon!

Like some of the previous posters, I have a whole 'verse in my head and DCUO's extensive customisation allows me to integrate both good and evil characters from it into the DC universe at large with very little compromise on their original designs.

I know the feeling about investment. I am in a great league on one character, and lead a RP League on another. I also run a RP forum, for DCUO. So yeah, I am invested as well. I really do hope that they can fix some of these problems, and let us get back to the basics of why I love this game.

loving it" take breaks time to time, but with the changes they are doing to me" this is my own personal opinion the game to me seems it's getting better with more ways to play powers besides advance mechanic's i am looking forward to the future of DCUO.

to anyone that hate's the way i think well i'm not you i'm me good day.

The community. All the great changes the devs are making and have made. Especially the constant changes to powers' damage role. Keeps it fresh.
