Can we get Titanic Trenton skin..i know lot of peoples ask for it for years and the reason is probably because body shaming but seriously we are in 2023 we get nice items like for pride month etc but still no real large body :/
I think the main reason is because it would be a nightmare to adapt all the armor styles. Or something like, i dont remember exactly but i think thats what a dev said long time ago.
They could do a Titanic Trenton transformation trinket but they won't do anymore new body shapes. For each new body they would have to go back and redo every single style in the game to fit the new frames.
Well, now that would be a fun trinket for an April's Fools. Make it be a trinket that says it can transform you into any iconic character but it always malfunctions and defaults to Titanic Trenton.
A body type isn't quite the same as a skin, unfortunately. I'd love more body options as it can add a lot of character to a design but the amount of work it entails is just so much, unfortunately.
The development/art team has previously explained that to create a new body type, they have to re-adjust every existing style to make it fit over the new skeleton. At the game's current point in development where there are tens of thousands of styles, they do not view that as a worthwhile investment of manpower resources. Essentially, if using the art team to adjust old styles for a different body type means that the art team isn't making NEW styles for that window of time, the majority of players will be more disappointed by the lack of new styles than they will be excited for the new body type. It is entirely their right to do whatever they like, especially when it is what they believe will best service their customers and/or fund the game. That being said, there IS a workaround. We have seen that an individual style is permitted to violate the skeleton of the default frame. Examples would include styles like the Headless Horseman jacket, which will remove your head. Even though the game still registers the head as being there, for the purpose of collision, auras, etc., the head is rendered as invisible to players so that the chest piece can present a style contrary to the default skeleton. Similarly, we see examples like the Pegleg, the Hook Hand, the Harpoon Hand, the Robotic Arm, etc. where the skeleton of the character can be rendered invisible, and then a new visual can be imprinted in such a way that it renders in place of the existing framework. We can also see exactly the effects of this. If you put on the Harpoon Hand, and then you select a Dual Pistols weapon, one of your Pistols is going to clip through the harpoon, and you will still shoot the Pistol as though your Harpoon Hand was actually a normal hand, even though visually it appears to be a harpoon. Basically, while we can overwrite the visual, it will result in graphical clipping and animations will not be adjusted to match this new visual. Some players may find this frustrating. "My hook hand looks dumb, because it clips right through my two-handed hammer and doesn't act like a hook." Other players will be grateful. "I'm so glad that I have a hook hand for my pirate look. Oh. It doesn't work with the flintlock pistols style animation because I would have to use a pistol in my hook hand. Well, I'll just accept it because I'm glad to have a hook hand, or I'll choose a different weapon, like a cutlass one-handed, to complete the look in a more aesthetically pleasing way." You can't make everyone happy. So about an overweight skin? We can't get it at a body type. It's just not a realistic investment of resources. They've openly told us that. But we COULD get it as a single style piece. A chest-slot style that gives us an overweight torso belly. It will clip. If you're using a staff or a rifle, expect your weapon to clip right through that belly, because they are normally held in the spot where that belly will now be located. It will not animate differently. If you're using Acrobatics and you do that forward somersault movement, your legs might end up clipping right through that belly, because the body's skeleton is still going to move in the exact same animation motion it did previously. It would not apply globally. While you would get a heavier torso slot, it does not make your thighs thicker (those are legs) or your face get a double chin (that's the head slot). Making it apply to these extra slots means that the style which applies for the chest needs to overwrite the existing style to those slots. So basically, if you wanted your overweight belly to also give you thick thighs, then you would not have any option to adjust Leg styles when you put on the Chest slot, and it would overwrite BOTH (the way that Headless Horseman overwrites your choice of head slot regardless of what you might have wanted). So, in all likelihood, this option would give that big bellied look in the torso, but do nothing to the face, hands, legs, or feet. Understanding each other on what is actually possible, this is what my request has repeatably been, and the Style/Art team have publicly stated that it would be possible, though they haven't yet prioritized making it (so if more people want to request, we might get it, instead of just having people ask for a different Body Type when we know that isn't going to happen). Seasonal Style: Bowl Full of Jelly. Style: Chest Appearance: An overweight chest type, providing additional weight that primarily protrudes from the front (like a pot-belly). Minor amounts of weight on the sides (love-handles) but not much, because we do not want the torso to absorb the arms from their idle position. Primarily, it just is a belly going forward. Put the entire torso into a Slimline style costume, since it will have a single affixed appearance to it and that is the most versatile option. Put a Large Emblem slot on the chest, to take full advantage of the increased real estate of this larger, very simple appearance slimline. Drop it onto the Winter Holiday Seasonal Vendor for 50 holiday leafs.
