Just some Superman movie news. Since it was revealed that director, Matthew Vaughn, was approached by WB/DC to helm the Man of Steel sequel in an interview with Collider. He also elaborated on his take where the Superman franchise could continue:

The Flash/Flashpoint
That same Deadline report for Deeper also includes an interesting line for the Flash movie: it offhandedly mentions that Gal Gadot is set to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 2, Justice League... and “and the spinoff for The Flash,” bolstering the previous rumor of Diana’s presence in the movie considerably.

Early rumors of Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor being either cut out of or possibly even never shot for Justice League are firming up, as Batman News confirms the current cut does not feature the character at all.

This comes despite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice setting up a tangible connection between Luthor, the Mother Boxes and villain Steppenwolf. Considering how negative fan reaction was to the character in that film, it seems logical that Joss Whedon (taking over for credited original director Zack Snyder) ultimately would take Luthor out of the equation on what is undoubtedly an already overstuffed enterprise. The Marvel Cinematic Universe actually made a similar move by eliminating William Hurt’s General Ross from 2012’s The Avengers, ignoring a post-credits scene in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk setting him up as playing a part in bringing The Hulk to the team.

Going along with what DCUO Post posted on Lex Luthor being cut from JUSTICE LEAGUE, it seems Kiersey Clemons' Iris West has been also cut from the film

Also with the sweeping changes going on behind the scenes without the actors not even knowing about it, fans are speculating that the Iris will most likely be recast

It's funny that you brought this up, I just saw yesterday's John Campea show and he answered a question connected to this subject.


It's at 24:20. Basically he says there was never anything definitive on if Luthor or Iris and/or the named actors were or were not in the movie to start with.

There is a Teen Titans theatrical movie set to come out next year but sadly it's a Teen Titans Go animated film.

Flashpoint

Variety reports Justin Kroll has revealed on Twitter that the script is finished, but a director is still being sought for the DCEU’s solo Flash movie—and that with Phil Lord and Chris Miller out of the running again with the announcement of their adaptation of the new Andy Weir novel, Back to the Future’s Bob Zemeckis is apparently still being considered. However, other directors are being spoken to, and Warner Bros. is in no rush to fill a slot that’s been empty for nearly a year at this point.


Nightwing

On the same tack, director Chris McKay promised the WB is casting a “wide net” to find the “perfect person” to play Dick Grayson/Nightwing.

Sigh.

"Wide net" code for diversity, which means unnecessary change is coming.

They did make massive mistakes by just trying to equal Marvel instead of taking the time to build something like Marvel did.

Maybe they are getting on track now but they might be going to far in the other direction. It feels like they're skipping ahead again, forget the big connection building thing just make them known to each and do what you want.
