This is true, but if we were to go on the assumption that if there was going to be a healer power for both factions personally I think it would be Indigo. The DC wiki states that Indigo Tribe rings can become bonded with people who have little to no compassion, which I think would make it fit with villains (especially considering some of the pasts of some of the members of the Indigo Tribe).

why i think its obviou doesnt take much guess work... they are making a blue lantern suit... for us to use... they have made the other 3 that we knwo for sure are powers now their own suits..why would blue get a suit with out the power?.... they put on the market place a blue energy weapon pack.... theyd give us everything but the power? that makes no sense... so all signs point to a blue healer since they didnt make hero tanks blue... yes its not confirmed..but as i said..it seems obvious... not for sure..but more than likely....

and i understand what you are saying about the yellow ring and how guy used it before etc. but... if im being forced by the devs to buy the fact that reds can be hero and villains.. then i cant buy that yellow can only be villain.. cause in the past yellow has had no problem being wielded by a hero...regardless if a corps was created afterwards ...

im just saying the reasoning for reds being hero is a stretch... cause if they are going by the comics...then reds are more like neutral ... and there is no neutral faction in this game...so it wouldnt make sense having reds in either villain or hero as a playable character power set

and since all signs frmo what i can see show blue power set is next... what are they going to do? i dont see any power sets that are strictly villain that can work..orange is 1 person only... if they use the rings being fake and can make any powerset it wants... then it throws otu any reasoning why any powerset is faction only since the rings are fake and anyone can use them

all i have to say to that is john stewart and ray palmer.. makes this class a non villain only class... same reason given why red isnt villain

You make it sound like this is an obvious conclusion that everyone should have come up with. Watch your tone with me. As a player that NEVER plays on the villian side, that conclusion simply did not occur to me. no need to be an a-hole about ito_O

Your argument is silly and a losing one. Its like trying to argue with the inventor of the toaster that the toaster can make eggs. Im pretty sure, the inventor would know what he is talking about. You would be wrong. DC can't "stretch" its characters realities because they are the creators of the reality.

Please for the love that is all comics,

Deal with It. Or Don't buy the DLC.

im entitled to my opinion... and as a paying customer when i dont like something (unlike you ) ill voice it so they understand, it might not change anything but it may change stuff in the future similar situations in the future, i guess we cant all be like you and act like sheep to the sheperd ...

you got what you wanted not everyone did and not everyone likes their pitiful reasoning, so yes you have to just roll with it but doesnt mean we have to shut up about it... if you dont like what i have to say..block me now... cause to be honest i dont care for your tone int he way you speak to others... you seem like a spoiled brat who got everythign eh wanted and now wants people to love it or shut up... so... spare me your bs k..thanks

He's stating a fact- Everything big that gets put in this game has to pass DC licensing. The fact that Red Lanterns are for Heroes and Villains means that DC, who created the entire Lantern mythos, says it's totally cool that Red Lanterns work for both heroes and villains.

man ... every comic reader I know hates the new 52. There a zillion websites devoted to diss'ing it. Only comic-newbs are even reading it. everyone bought about the 1st year of it and now everyone is sick of it.

It's iMage comics all over again. Pretty pictures, garbage writing. Art sells books but story sells subscriptions.

Comic fanboys will buy anything with a single-digit issue number. After that no one cares anymore. DC has the return-to-normal plans on the board already.

    garbage in = garbage out.

I know this..ive never argued against that the reason it was allowed was cause dc allowed it i know that... im saying i dotn like it im stating my opinion based on what i feel is wrong with their reasoning...

its a shame some people dont get im entitled to voice my opinion.....regardless if its not going to change anything... its not pointless to tell the devs as a paying customer you are unhappy with something..thats how they get how people feel and decide future decisions later on ... as i said im not just a sheep like some...

or i could tell the devs since they ar the ones who thought up the idea to make red lanterns a power and making it for both heroes and villains then asking dc if that was ok..getting the go ahead...and then doing as they had planned..... you really think dc is the one writing all the story lines and the devs are just there to implement it for them? i assure you thats not the case its the development team who decides what they want...they take it to the dc execs... they say yes..they say no... and devs go accordingly....

heres a prime example how speaking to the devs helps gets players what they want....

the first lantern dlc they initially were going to give us lantern inspired gear... ...now follow me..the devs are the ones that decided they were going to do this.... then dc saw this and said NO.. and so thats how we got sector agent and sector incendiary .... both logoless pieces of gear as seen in the game now... the paying customers... screamed at the devs begging and pleading for green lantern logo costumes.. the devs said they couldnt do it.. years and year of complaining about it ...oh whats that ..we are getting ??? gear with lantern logos on it...

moral of the story.. tell the devs what you like and dislike.... which will help shape their thinking on future content.... dont know how thats so hard to grasp
  14. jpharrah1010 Steadfast Player

sure seem to be acting like one

as you say, deal with it

So you feel Red lanterns should be bad guys. As previously stated you are wrong in that thinking.

So now what you are saying is... that its OK to be wrong and still push in favor of your WRONG statement. That's like Fighting for the right to say that the sky looks green. It does not. Fact. Same issue here, The Red Lanterns are neutral, not bad guys. Your "opinion" is wrong. Period. Whatever you are complaining about is invalid because its is all based on false assumptions. Why is it so hard for you to understand, that what you are in favor for is NOT, and opinion.... but a factually wrong statement.

That has nothing to do with player outcry. The devs wanted to give us the symbols, green auras, all sorts of things. DC said no at the time because the writers were quite stringent on Lantern content and IPs. By the time of this DLC, those restrictions have lightened and DC has allowed them to put symbols on iconic costumes. That's nothing to do with players begging and crying for it, and all to do with DC licensing restrictions that aren't so much the case any more.
  17. jpharrah1010 Steadfast Player

if you actually believe it has nothing to do with the players... i just dont know what to say to that...there have been countless threads through the last 2 years since fight for your light was introduced ..of fans begging the devs to get dc to ok lantern logos in the game.... youd ont think the devs felt a bit of pressure at all to make the fans happy after theyve been wanting this for so long?..you dont think the devs took it to dc and said "the customers really want this its pretty unanimous , can we please include this ?"

yes the devs wanted to give us these things..and were told no initially but theyve also been pressured for years now by the fans to do this... if the fans wouldnt have pressed..theyd have no incentive to really give a crap about it....im sure fan reaction had more to do with it then youd like to think...
  18. Archangel Rafael New Player

    you're not quite right here.

It is true that in the DCU, re lanterns are a neutral faction, neither good nor evil.

If this guy personally doesn't like the idea of red lanterns as heros. He's not wrong to think that. That's not a matter of fact.

DCU fact : red lanterns are neither heroes nor villains. One could argue that they don't belong in this game then, since there is no neutral faction in DCUO.

I don't really care about this myself. I would rather see something else besides more lanterns because I think there's a lot more interesting things in the DCU than the rainbow-ringslinger army but this is what we're getting so w/e.
  19. jpharrah1010 Steadfast Player

this is exactly what im saying...

and i personally would have rather not had any new lantern powers as well.. cause the lines start to get blurry... when it comes to factions... and the reason they gave for reds being both ... can easily be applied to yellows..which now makes no sense... but they arent getting what im saying..i guess i shouldnt be surprised

to be honest..the devs would have just been better off giving us a generic hard light powerset ...similar to dr. light
  20. Campor Well-Known Player

No, I really don't think it did. Because they were going to ask again regardless since they knew the licensing was becoming a little more lax. The whining and begging was all ultimately pointless because if they COULD get it in there, they would. And now they have, on iconic gear. You know what's going to happen? Some people are still going to beg to have free range Lantern emblems that can be on the front of anything, or that can be coloured. And unless DC eases up on iconic emblems being able to be put on anything like a normal emblem, it's not going to happen no matter how much people want it.

They know what people want. They've heard it all a million times. They've even stated several times that they know what we want in regards to all of this. They know we want green auras, but that's still up in the air whether DC will allow it as it stands.

You put too much weight on the constant resurgence of people spamming about something the devs already know we want. Yes, it's good to bring it up every now and again because it makes it clear it's still wanted, but claiming that we're getting the logos because the devs wouldn't put it in without constant crying over it is incorrect. The devs aren't the ones who chose not to put them in in the first place.
