Wanting to come back...Need answers though.

My number one question is....

#1. Have the iconic powers been updated at all, or added to yet?

#2. Is weapon mastery still a big thing? I imagine it is, but I wasn't a huge fan of it back when I played.

#3. Is there a specific power that would be considered FOTM? Also, what is the top 3 least played powers? I like to play things people underestimate, or are uncommon.

#4. Is the game still very DPS heavy? I usually play my role, so I don't DPS often, but is the strategy still "more burn"?

I think that is all of them. Answers to any of those are appreciated.

1. No, on both counts.

2.Yes it is still a thing but there is also AMs now that work within your powers, people seem to be more into AMs now. Do a search to find the details.

3. There is always a FOTM, some update comes along every so often that nerfs and buffs different things. I don't really pay attention to them so I'm not sure which is the FOTM at the moment, nor what are least played.

4. Yes, it is. As I have read support roles are needed but not always favored.

Thanks for your response. I haven't been gone too crazy long. Right after Munitions came out, I bailed, so I am familiar with AMs. I'm glad they seem to be more popular now.

IT's disappointing that they haven't done anything with iconic yet. It actually was a big reason I quit.

#2 yes but only 1-4 powers make use of WM now DPS wise, the rest dont need weapons
#3 yes always, right now ice, gadgets, sorcery, earth, mental, are all top DPS', bottom powers IMO are light, electric
#4 YES raids you can almost bet your *** it will be 5 DPS 1 of each support, in alerts 3 DPS 1 support, or 2 DPS 2 support.

DPS run this game its pathetic IMO.

That was another reason why I felt it was time to go. With atomic being charged to tank,a nd water being a healer (or even a thing haha) I figured I'd try to come back. As I said before though, I am still disappointed with the iconic situation. A long time ago, me and a few other well known member (which I am not anymore) made a great thread about an Iconics revamp that went unheeded.

yea and found out today you dont get prestige from content without side of your relevancy window, so basically if you dont get marks you wont get prestige either.

Which thats taking it waaaaaaay to far, I dont mind losing marks from content but to take our ways to get prestige is total BS.

One answer will suffice. Stay the hell away mate! not only are these still problems, they are tenfold!

PVP is still knackered.

And to top it all, the devs are fleecing the player base massively in the market place!

I agree, that was definitely a bad decision all around in my eyes. I own the content, I don't think I should be penalized for running it. I said from jump, all they had to do was make it so you only got marks while wearing/being the appropriate cr.

This is something that definitely has me weary (wary?) of coming back. I think I have been spoiled by FF14 to be honest.

that or simply give us styles, which they could of implemented the new lock box crap then did GU47 after and it would of been a-ok.

do lower tiered content the loot system pops you pick from a style that would normally drop in a lock box IMO its a win win

but I mean they didnt even think to do that, which if you have noticed on here ppl have begged for more styles in MP and more styles in general.

However, that would require someone to design this, and lets look at the current game, the WINGS ARE STILL NOT SORTED, lets face the facts, money is the core requirement of DCUO today, just look at the state of the game, whatever is broken is this game will remain broken, they have no intention to fix what is wrong. The attitude today is, MONEY.

There was a time when Mepps or Spytle wrote something, it carried respect, you could understand they were on our side.

Today though, not so, you cant help but feel whenever they reply here, they are robots. They are not replying to us, they are being told what to say.

Look at the recent additions to the marketplace, and the recent sale, and the sale regarding the new stuff.

We, as customers are no longer a key component, since Daybreak have taken over, we are cash machines, for every 5 people who complain about the stupid costs of the Batman Cowl, all it takes is one person to buy it and those 5 people are dismissed.

This is the attitude today.

And its to be expected, the players carry it, the devs carry it, and the investors carry it.

I dont, and here is where all these people will learn the fundamentals, im a customer, and I dont appreciate being taken for a ride, and nor do many others. I am a player of this game currently, but the way things are, I wont be a player, a customer or a supporter.

Like many other players, this game has driven me out. I refuse to pander to the greedy.

That isn't true. You get token of prestige a lot as a drop for bosses in content that isn't relevant to you.

ok but prestige for the actual content itself you get ZERO, those tokens you are talking about are in place of marks.

to each their own I suppose, regardless what they intend to do for what little player base of support roles is left, it wont make alot more support players from it.

for many reasons:

1 - ppl will try to battle troll/tank/heal and get yelled at
2 - ppl will try to tank/troll/heal content and be expected to do what other tanks/trolls/healers have done that ppl have ran with before
3 - it wont be as awesome to those DPS only players for the simple fact as not having to worry about another players health/power or 3-7 other ppl period is the best / funnest way to play in DCUO and the majority see it this way because 1-2-3-4-4-4-4-4 is LIIIIFE!!!


therefor the dmg that is being given to support players now wont amount to the beast/clutch players
