Hey folks, I'm not sure if anyone else has already touched on this topic, but I had to ask because it is quite upsetting. Why is the Vestment of Rage style so expensive? It's the same price for the Scion on Ion gear, which is an actual gear set with possibly the highest stats at the moment. Why would a simple style with no stats cost the same amount? It has no benefit to the character expect cosmetic purposes. I really wanted to get the style for my rage powered character, but the hell with that. I'm just going to save up for the Scion on Ion gear set. I honestly think it should be at 5 MoR each maybe 10 at most. What a let down that was. *sigh* /rant What do you all think?
Probably because it's so easy to obtain in the raid? I've only reached the final boss, so far and I got 2 drops I could equip. It's just a way for the developers to extend the life of the DLC, too. Achieving all the feats and getting all the gear is effectively "finishing" the DLC pack. We've got another 3 or 4 months to wait for the next one. So the more marks we need to earn to finish our collections, the more there is to do.
Because its there just in case your lucky sucks on getting the pieces you need. Right now i would play 200MoR just to get the damn Time Traveller hands. I have no problem with the pricing just because at least i know i will finish that without having to rely on my luck go get the last piece i need.
They put the style only on the vendor because of the people who weren't lucky in the raids can simply buy the style to complete it. Especially if they are now in higher content and it is harder to farm. I really wish they will go back and do this with things like Norseman gear.
It's there as an option. The style is intended to be challenging to obtain, but you now have the choice of waiting for the drops or spending marks.
actually i find its quit the opposite, considering they also drop on every boss on the op i'll use the vendor for my last 2 3 piece personaly
It seems I may have blown off a bit of steam before thinking it through. It didn't occur to me that they would drop in the ops because I haven't seen one yet. I assumed they were only available via vendor that's why I freaked out. Lol. Guess I'll just hope for the drops then. And yeah, I agree, it does give people something to do until the next DLC comes out. Patience just isn't my strongest suit.
You can also buy it in the broker. It isn't limited to Cannot Trade. Is this a bug Mepps? There is a Rage Chest Style piece in the USPC Broker right now for 10 Million.
Feel free to do this with other, more difficult to obtain, styles. (not just the older PvP styles. But don't get me wrong, that vendor is cool too!!)
or do the raids and the bosses drop them their. I got my dps back from sinestro and the belt from lyssa drak
I actually like what they've done. I would just save up marks though and keep running the raid until I have neough to buy all the pieces I need at once. It sucks to buy a piece then get it in the raid.
Well, that's the thing, it's to supplement the rare one. So if you don't get it in the raid, you have alternatives. This is a nice precedent they have and should continue it in further DLCs AND make it for older content too.
Saw this coming. People want style vendors. Make it cost a lot, we don't care. Then it comes out and the next level kicks in. If you give a mouse a cookie... And yes, I realize the Op calmed down, but because it was available in raids as well, still thinking price is too high. And I know he can't be alone. I want it now now now.
