    Some food for thought.

I believe the only thing to worry about is the government and if they do stop the deal, FOX is screwed. Comcast is in the same size range as Disney, so the gov. wouldn't approve that either.

This did give me better insight into how DCUO was able to stay with SOE/DGC when Sony sold the company.

With the merger now through, Disney has unsurprisingly announced their new streaming service, DISNEY PLAY. Aside from their library of movies and shows, the Mouse House will also be developing original shows for the streaming service based on existing properties, from High School Musical to Star Wars to Monsters Inc. Unfortunately, Disney will not actively try to take away television right from existing deals made by the company and Fox, for example pre-2019 MCU and Star Wars films will not hit the service for the time being.

Yeah some of the SW hater sites have been using this as another tightening of the noose around Kennedy's neck. Disney (not LucasFilms or Kennedy) sold the exclusive broadcast rights of all the episodic films to Turner Broadcasting. It is an 8 year deal lasting until 2024, so the streaming service wont be able to air them until then.

To add a bit to what aurorabenz07 posted.
