US Server Restart - April 27, 2016

It seems to be related to login credentials somehow. I wasn't able to log in at all unless I deleted my cache library first. Then I could get into game, but the game would hang on a splash screen forever if I tried to enter a raid.

I watched your twitch broadcast today, wherein at the outset you made a few very general comments about the "server instability" of late, and mentioned the "customer appreciation weekend" as a "sorry..." for it... instead of, or perhaps in addition to, "more rare drops"...

Can you please provide us, your customers, with considerably more detail on (a) the nature of the problem(s), and (b) what specific steps are being taken to address it/them.

Furthermore, when we can expect to have the stable, reliable, and functional product that many of us continue to pay you for.

Login problems, frequent disconnects, and the laundry list of other issues that can be found on these forums and your bug tracker site are core functionality level issues...

If they are software related, they should have been addressed years ago.

If its a hardware inadequacy, then your company needs to provision more server horsepower immediately.

We are doing our bit - giving you are hard earned money. It's well past time that we receive what we pay for.

It was for about half an hour not so long ago... just kept refusing to let people login... I ALWAYS get problems but that's just my darned luck I guess haha

I believe in second chances, not so much in a third one. So I will play the game with considerably fewer features after my last paid month ends.

is the login with 1/2 or less power bar filled still going on? I think i had this happen to my health bar once in the past few days.
Seeing my power ability blanked out too for many seconds upon login. I'm acrobat and can't zip line for several seconds too. Just a floating jump. Sound for my powers randomly shuts off for the duration of the instance too.
....hehhehheh....when I sit on the toilet, it's supposed to be go-time.

As much as top level players no doubt are hungry for new content, based on what I saw today on twitch (covering upcoming episodes 24, 25, & 26... a couple alerts, a raid, some new styles), I think that DBG needs to STOP NEW DEVELOPMENT entirely...

Water Power was conspicuously absent from the presentation, so good bet that may be a while in coming... so really, what are the devs resources being devoted to... reskins of old map layouts, and some style items??

How about an "all hands on deck" call on ALL company resources to get the existing code and hardware up and running... then looking to developing new content.

And I mean REAL new content... new mechanics, new designs (maps, lairs, etc.), a fully realized new city locale

That would make sense to me... you are going to lose more players (aka MONEY) to a game packed full of carbon copied content that is broken, than you will to a temporarily content stagnant game that actually works reliably.

Rare drops is way too little for the ongoing problems lately. In my opinion, a free month of legendary would be a START since this has been going on for about a month and continues to go on. On top of that, maybe double the monthly station cash reward for one month. That seems fair to me. Rare drops for a weekend is really a bit insulting.

Bro I absolutely agree with you on this. In fact I have decided to STOP PAYING my hard earned cash for this. For a long time DCUO was a well maintained machine with simple tolerable issues, if and when there were any at all. But ever since Daybreak took over, it has become the laughing stock of online gaming. Daybreak, You guys are setting your selves up for a fall; trying to squeeze more and more money out of us and spending less and less on the quality of what we pay for. Many, MANY paying players will be leaving your empire, because it is falling!

Any word on when it will be back up?

Actually it's a PC thing, the husband & I have been on all afternoon on hero's on ps4 I was even switching through toons both villain & hero with no problems. Only problems we've experienced since the hotfix yesterday is a bit of lag, and our cooldowns sometimes not working in raids.

still nothing...well unless u consider a VERY long load screen something...

It's a blatant way to get people to spend replays all in the name of 'giving back' lol. Brilliant.
