Update 35 Discussion

Since we lowly Playstation players aren't allowed to comment on the Testing Feedback boards, I thought I'd create a U35 discussion thread for the rest of us.

-Style Vendors: I've been saying to the rest of my Leaguemates for weeks that the devs were working on something like this. I'm very happy to see it so soon! While HIVE Defender is an obvious win for most of us, I'm also happy to see the Norsemen style on there as well. I'm also glad to see it's a bit limited at first, keeping some things more rare than others.

-New Loading Screens: I think Mepps buried the lead in his Patch Notes. Sure, we're getting Loading Screen Tips. That's jolly good and all. But we're getting new Loading Screens too! We've only been asking for these for three years now … and they have finally delivered! Superman and Batman seem like natural inclusions, but I hope they add Mr. Freeze back in and give us Zatanna, Flash and Green Lantern as well! I always liked Bizarro's wallpaper as well.

-Safehouse Teleporters: Some of my low-level characters might be inconvenienced a bit with this change, but I really like the idea of having no access to the Watchtower/Hall of Doom before Level 10. That way it feels like a HUGE deal when you finally are invited into the 'big leagues.'

-New Soders: It only seems fair that the Premium and Free-to-Play folks have options when it comes to Soders.

All in all, a surprisingly quick and satisfying announcement in my humble opinion! Can't wait for the Seasonal to start up again.

Something else as well, they updated the Charged attacks. Things such as Focused Blast, Charged Blast, and Charged Throw are now hold abilities, and do the attack and damage (like with Shield and 2-Handed) during the hold.

I saw the part that said they added loading screen tips but I did not see where they're adding new loading screens entirely. Where was that? I hope it's true because that's something that I have been wanting for a while now.

Really hope they put the sharpshooter style in the new vendor.

Sad part is it's only a 10 point feat.

I was hoping the style vendor would sell styles from T1-T4 for MoT and T5 styles for MoR.

New Style Vendor!

With Game Update 35 we are implementing a new vendor in the HQs that will offer some of our harder to find styles for sale! This will give players a chance to complete feats without depending on randomness of the drops. These vendors are called Vending Unit 22 and can be found in the Watchtower in the Aquacultural Area, and in the Hall of Doom in The Pit.

im kinda lost on what the soders really are.. i read the patch notes..they are basically just a better option then soder cola extreme?

Really curious on 1H focus blast... How is the cast time? is it as fast a full charged blast or the fastest blast? How does this affect the vulnerable window when using as a fast block break?

Sadly the only styles that are in their are full sets (not to complain. Still happy that we're at least getting these). These are:

Runes of the Norseman
Hive Defender
Sector Agent
Sector Inciendary


If there are more, feel free to collect me. I watched a video and he scrolled through to the bottom of the vendor, but I could be wrong.

While on the test server, I saw Superman, Zatanna, Black Adam, and Poison Ivy loading screens!

They're mostly just the bought versions of a crafted basic soda. So the T5 ones are more in-line with a Zero then a Next (whichever is the basic form of T5 sodas).

If I read this one right in the notes, you need to do the tour mission to be able to go to the Watchtower/Hall of Doom right? Cause... I know people that actually skipped it and its lurking in their hidden folder XD

ah ok ..sounds meh but i see why they did it... hopefully the pricing isnt too high for the prems

Are the new soders under $2,000 so premiums can purchase them?
