Unannounced changes to Doctor Fate's daily rewards.

Ya, that's definitely a pretty steep downgrade. While the item exchange is really laughably abysmal, I think the thing that gets me the most with this is lack of transparency and communication, a theme that's been going on for sometime.

If you're going to change the reward system for paying subscribers you really should to be up-front about it before changing it. When the stabilizers were changed out, there was an announcement for it promptly, with the stab mission returning asap. We also got the DLC boxes in their place (if I'm recalling correctly) so the compensation felt deserved- a way to get stabilizers still for the month and extra goodies along with it. The changes now are just horrendously bad and veiled in silence to boot which ironically speaks pretty loudly to what they think of us as a community.

This change is just bad in every way, and that's coming from someone who's been wanting furniture incorporated into the membership pool for sometime now. Just FYI to the dev team, if anyone is even reading this: those Decorator Boxes are heinously overpriced and the pool they pull from is so incredibly vast they're practically useless for any decorator, be it casual to avid base builder. If you wanna try to cater to the deco community, make something new for us to decorate with or offer Deeds/Marketplace furniture bundles. DLC-specific Large Base Items Boxes would also be worth our time to an extent. Even then though, it won't save the changes you just made for the Rewards, not even a bit, but food for thought.

They removed which boxes? I see what you mean, where it shows 10 prestige tokens for day 8, renown for day 13 etc, are you saying they weren’t this way when the rewards started a few days ago?

They removed the Raid reward caches/boxes. There where 3 of them from the 3 recent episodes. Something useful especially the actual episode ones and the others for a toon or some LG mates being a bit behind. Now we got prestige what no one needs! If I would need prestige so much to PAY for... Just buy some gear with SMs and donate it.

I get ya now! Those boxes that had several things in them, gear piece, pretigte tokens, marks, etc? They did come in reasonably handy for alts. I can’t say I’m gonna cancel my sub etc. because it’s meaningless atm! It doesn’t end till 24th July.

But yeah! This company are going out of their way to be extra wankerish more and more. I need to sell my account! I really do to gtf away from this thing forever. Or maybe have it purposely banned forever to just be finally done with it (and I have a stinking amount of money invested!) 3 mains with around 10 max arts each, few alts with 160-200 arts. 678sp each, but it’s all just so incredibly circular, and has gotten shlttier and shlttier as each month has passed.

I really am over DC now! I play it because I’ve invested so much! But… I’m playing to be mugged, and have been conditioned to try and “be the best” and if you do this or that, it’ll make you super duper strong etc. it’s all so incredibly…

I don't see the point of the Decorator's Base Item boxes honestly in the Fate vendor or certainly the Doctor Fate's Daily Rewards. And that is coming from a base decorator myself. Most of these base items are not really usable with a few exceptions but again these exceptions are for a niche part of the base decorating community.

If they were base items from more recent episodes they might work (especially if they are going towards feats) but even then this is for a very very niche part of the DCUO community, and membership rewards should be something for everyone.

Maybe the devs felt they were being too generous with marks/rewards from the previous build of Doctor Fate Rewards? Who knows.

And no one speaks to us when it's necessary/when the players begg for something to hear from them about [insert random topic]

I'll take some Legends and Valor marks as replacements.

Sorry Devs, this change was a dumb move. Prestige is easy to get in-game, giving us extra is pointless, since most leagues go over the cap easily without them (so unless you plan to add something else Prestige can be spent on, what use is it?).

Waaaaa? The membership discount plan isn't worth it anymore? What about the ability to make a league? What about a 2nd set of gear that is worthless by the time the set is done? What about a day 21 style reward that most times is undesirable or so niche that about 2% of the players can use it?


Would you like some coffee and a bagel now that you've woken up to the truth? Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day.

So out of touch they couldn't touch a table they are so far away. Do these people actually play this game? I mean I can see maybe one or two but change after change and time after time they keep showing signs that they don't know what the hell they are doing.


This should of been communicated to your players wtf are you people smoking? Tell that dealer I don't want any of it even if they give me a discount. I look at Wow, ESO, FFonine, Diablo IV, Fortnite, and many other games out here, that if changes were going to be made they the teams inform there players. Why in the hell can these people not get it together? I mean the level of disrespect and incompetence is staggering.


You won't get my hard earned money because you prove you don't deserve it and you think I'm a sucker to keep up with this nonsense and give you my money hahaha . These people take a step forward and then take ten steps back smfh.

honestly, the lack of communication is what makes the whole situation worse, another wrong step, lately we are receiving announcements at the last minute, even the time capsule which is where they usually raise money was not announced in advance or a livestream to show what was to come, this is very bad, communication with your costumers should be the most important point, I don't know what is happening within the company but what a terrible situation we are living in to be a DCUO player....

How the player agreement work-
If you log in after they do a change you have automatically accept the change and cannot really complain about it since you agree to it when log in...

This is a good example of why putting Prestige as a reward isn’t happening. My League hits cap every week pretty easily and it’s not like we’ve been super active either. During the dry spell and the sudden mass return of players (not) we probably have about 14 to 18 on in a week. That’s enough to hit cap pretty easily just doing the current episode not even Early Endgame or Omnibus or Elite or whatever. Now how many “active” Leagues exist currently out there on US PC/PS? Who knows? Maybe you could guesstimate from the Census assuming that’s up still? But if there’s quite a few then membership rewards are a waste on them. Maybe this is more relevant to EU, Xbox and Switch though? In which case the devs should’ve made more in-roads on helping Leagues progress better not just randomly dump prestige. We’ve been asking for more progress on Leagues for years. Guess what? No development there anymore like half the things in this game too.

I'm on EU, and in a small league... even so, more Prestige isn't really useful to us.

If your referring to the old styles from previous dlcs, then about time this change was made! People have become lazy an feel entitled run the content for styles instead of being bums wanting stuff for free!

That’s the vexxing part to me. You list examples of other MMOs and online games that I know I know Shock Surprisingly COMMUNICATE with their player community and while they ain’t perfect themselves at least they take those steps. Dimensional Ink/Daybreak/EG7 is run so this way and that it’s hard to take anything seriously with this DCUO. And people here on the forums are so beholden to this style of game developers they have no clue this isn’t how things are in the real world outside of video games. You gotta mention things to your playerbase. Not barely drop a line whenever it suits you.
