UI Option: Turn off Animations

For years, I've always turned down the animations for the MMOs I've played (including the most recent, DCUO) to help reduce whatever lag I may experience on various connections. However, DCUO lacks the option to turn off other player's animations excluding your own. I think this might help a bit. Especially for those of us on PS3s. Hell, Im on a PS3 connected via high speed wifi with an amplifier & still get uber lag spikes at times lol.

Btw, why do we have loading screens if we still have to wait for everything to load after we get out of the loading screens? #rhetoricalquestion #foodforthought #justsayin' XD

Lol I have always done this also with every mmo. Helps with lag.

Isn't there fade effects time bar ? Also turn the gamma down.

Try turning down the effect fade bar in settings under video that may help

I do all that but still wanna turn off everyone else's animations off lol. I think it'll help a bit more. XD

EDIT: Honestly, none of that really did much to help with the lag. I even clear out my cache once a week, which helps a bit but maybe this option will make it so I can load fast enough to catch up with PS4 players.... who are usually done with the first part of instances by the time some of us finish loading... lol.

I agree. Not because of lag. I just want to see the enemies and their tells better.

Heh. Sometimes in the Trigon Alert between Quantum, Celestial, Earth, and their backup, I'll lose sight of my toon and the enemy for at least a minute.

Yeah that too. Too often I see enemies and toons disappearing from my screen.

Please give us this option... so tired of the animations lagging, people disappearing, etc.
