Ubisoft will decommission 15 of their games from online content/support

    Ubisoft is making a bold move; as the title says it plans to decommission 15 of their games. The company claims that in order to support their newer games that people are playing, this is a move in the right direction. For people who use Steam, Ubisoft has removed some games already.

    What are your thoughts? Do you think that more game companies will follow suit in order to save and stretch out resources? Is this a good/bad move?

    Note: at the bottom of the page it says that this move will not affect the remastered versions of these games. Also, take not that the consoles listed are from a previous generation.

    I'm not a fan of this, but it does drive home something that a lot of people don't realize. When you pay your money for your video game, you don't own that game, you have a license to play that game. That license is only valid at the whim of the game publisher.
