Twitch Identifying Copyrighted Audio

So I have been getting multiple notices from Twitch that I am broadcasting copyrighted audio during my streams of DCUO.

I literally only have the game, OBS and discord running on my system during my broadcasts.

I don't use voice chat so there is no chance of gleaming audio from someone else.

This is the audiotrack that twitch is claiming I am using:

When I say multiple notices, I am talking about upwards of 6 - 10 a stream.

Ok. Did you need the number to Twitch's corporate office?

All my years of streaming DCUO, never got hit with any of this.

Does Twitch provide anything like documentation they need in order to stop these claims? DCUO cant really do anything. Best i can recommend is to lower that BG sound greatly.

I didn't have any notices until this past month or so. I have also had an issue free time while streaming on Twitch. I submitted tickets to Twitch support and they just said to appeal the audio. After the first few appeals I put a ticket in with support here and Dunbar suggested I try the forums. I don't expect them to have an answer but I figured aside from the usual suspects trolling here on the forums I thought it would be worth posting to see if anyone else was having these issues. Every notice I received happened when I was in a Space or Volcano themed lair. I don't want to reduce the audio quality of my streams so I relocated a few bases to see if the issue continues.

    Reminds me of this: [IMG]

Twitch's and Youtube's copyright system is..... a mess, to say the least. And while DCUO themselves can't really do anything here, it is still good to post this thread to warn people this can/does happen.

Don't they just mute a section of your VOD, why does it matter, did they give you a strike or something?

Honestly I don't really know anyone that bothers much with watching VOD's on Twitch, but that's just me.

They do mute portions of the VOD. It is an issue because accounts have been banned from twitch for broadcasting copyrighted audio. If you are an affiliate or partner its pretty easy to generate an extra $100 - $500 a month for streaming.

It also depends on what the VOD is of too really. At least in terms of viewership. People have watched my VODs for various reasons. Sometimes I get style requests and I make it as I stream. Or people make clips of the VODs for loadouts, reporting speed hackers, how to do instances differently. Hell people have even watched me decorate bases on livestream and my VODs.
