When levelling a new toon, I ALWAYS wipe during the Trigon's Blood mission (the Ellsworth General Hospital one). It's usually my first wipe during levelling, except maybe a few accidental ones from flying in the wrong place at the wrong time. The spot I always wipe is about 50% into the mission, where you meet Raven for the first time and all the demons awaken off the floor and attack. I'm dead within 2 seconds, no matter how geared of levelled my toon is. The toon I'm using now is a level 22, and the mission is rated at level 17. Any tips on how to stay alive (soder's don't help)?
By the way, I haven't played for 6 months or so, and this mission never had this issue before. I tried to edit the previous post to add this bit, but, well, that option didn't work.
What does your gear look like? I'm leveling a new toon at the moment and the gear makes a VERY big difference in the early stages. It helps if you also run the alerts as soon as your able (Area 51, HIVE, etc) to get better drops then what's provided in the solo missions.
Don't know about your original issue (ever had it happen to me), but about the editing, yeah, usually click Edit->then in the new screen you wont get anything to edit so click "more options" and then it will take you to the actual editing window, hope this helps!
Thanks, that will help. Suspected there was a trick to it. As far as gear goes, most of it at this stage is account bound gear from the vault I can move between toons. Level 34 belt, most of the other stuff is level 19. It's fine. Nowhere else in the game during the levelling stages do I really get anywhere close to wiping out, just that one moment in that one mission. I suspect the way to avoid it is to simply fly away.
Sounds like you're getting hit by the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy attack It's been a long time, but I believe there are pillars and such that you can maneuver around, so you can take on fewer npc's at a time. In that instance, if I'm on a weak toon, I make sure to stand at each doorway and aggro the npcs I can reach for that reason. For that room in particular, you can't do that. If I recall, I made sure I was far on one side of the room as possible when they spawn.
Only issue I've ever encountered was with villains and the etrigan zatanna fight... Then I learned later that you could bring those barrels in from the beginning.
I know Raven teleports them away, it just takes longer than it used to, and the villians are waaaaaay more powerful then they used to be. I dealt with with it simply by running away like a scolded dog :-D
