Stop loggin in if you don't like the way the game is going, not stop spending money but just stop loggining in uninstall the game go somewhere else it's crazy you will stop being a baby about everything wrong with this game.
It's a hypocrite thing. And don't speak up to criminals that are the real problem. Instead they give devs a hard time like it's a real crime.
Different kind of game, but sure. They might...then they might bail on this game. Again, any company selling a product the relies on customer support (i.e. paying customers) shouldn't push a policy of 'if you don't like it, don't come back'. While they can't give in to every customer request or complaint, it's foolish to think they'd last very long if every person who complained, rather than complaining, just left. We think it's a ghost town in the game today? Just picture it if EVERY person who has a complaint just went away.
If everyone who openly voiced their opinion (not just on the forums) about the recent changes I'd say the game population would drop by 25% with your advice. That would mean more aggressive monetization until even you eventually quit. Feedback is important and its a constant process for improvement that any game, product or company needs. Ever wondered why you get spam-like "rate your experience" mails whenever you purchase something from Amazon for example? Thats why.
What a concept it’s almost as if they need to hear the complaints to improve on their unpopular opinions in order to retain customers… bad decision after bad decision since February needs to be called on but it seems the devs only listen to the ones singing their praises
So basically if you wanna be in the creator program you can’t have an opinion .. and must be a shill for the devs .. so basically anyone who remains in it can now be considered untrusted
Well...this will be pulled down quicker than I can post this reply. Brown noser league is a better name if you are only allowed to say positive things.
The Creator's League is a promotional program. The idea is to attract new players to DCUO. (Or encourage lapsed players to return.) Of course they don't want any criticism at all or any negative comments at all. I'm just entirely surprised Chill didn't understand that that's what he was signing up for. Personally, if I were the mod working for DCUO, I'd have given him a warning and explained to him that he wasn't allowed to say anything negative if he wanted to stay in the League. And I expect he'd quit voluntarily, because I can't imagine ObsidianChill wanting to, or being able to, stay under those conditions. But I don't work for the company. But, yeah, of course the company didn't create the Creator's League to recognize critics or testers or evaluators or journalists or reporters or anything other than utterly uncritical "content creators" who will create DCUO "content" for zero pay. The company wants free commercials. That's what "promotion" is. That's what companies do with their products: promote it. That's what DCUO is: a product. That's what promotional departments at corporations do: promote. I'm baffled at anyone who is surprised at any of this. You'd think not many gamers or YouTubers had ever worked at large corporati-- oh, wait. Never mind.
Why would DCUO want to call attention to people saying negative things about their product? They're not running a fandom. They're a hundred-million-dollar corporation selling a product. Of course they are only going to allow positive things to be said. The idea is for the members to produce commercials, but for free. Who produces commercials that say bad things about the product they're supposed to be selling? I think a lot of people don't understand what the point of the Creator's League is from the point of view of DCUO. It's not to make streamers feel good.
It's as if people are shocked, shocked, to find out that DCUO is a business run by a corporation in a country with a capitalistic system.
The censorship in this game is nuts. I was literally kicked from the official DCUO Discord for nothing. Nothing I typed was against Discord official rules. We were told not to discuss Obsidian Chill being kicked out of the Creator League. I didn’t mention that at all but asked the mod directly if they wanted us to leave if we discuss issues related to DCUO? And kicked. Unbelievable. I was not only one of the most active users in that Discord chat but also one of the most civil and I wasn’t even addressing the issue at hand. I never mentioned Obsidian by name or anyone else for that matter. I only asked a question to a mod and got banned from the official DCUO Discord chat. Wow @Angeliana what is this about? That’s unfair that mods in your Discord abuse their power like that. Unbelievable
How is it an "abuse of power" when they own it? There's no "right to use a Discord channel" or "right to use a privately owned internet forum." You're free to say whatever you like on any internet site you own or that Daybreak Games does not own. If you're in my living room, it's not an "abuse" of my power to kick you out if I don't like what you're saying. You're free to say it from the sidewalk.
They knew what they were getting when they accepted ObsidianChill too. They took his very valid critique on EP48 got hurt by it and removed him from their "promotion" program. If what ObsidianChill said is that inflammatory, they are pretty soft and very petty. Its all factual.
Not to mention the purposely chose YouTube channels that a lot of people tune into because they are trusted and honest … well were
