    The truth as it is.

That’s crazy that there are 3, THREE content creators I never heard of in the DCUO content community who not only didn’t hold up their end of membership but they’re still in the Creator League at this moment?!!? I know of between 10 to 20 content creators that already do DCUO content why on Earth weren’t they asked to join instead?

I can think of a couple content creators who were burnt out and quit that would have come back if asked. It just goes to show how disconnected this studio is from the community.

Because like everything else in DCUO world, they thought of a thing...jumped on it as a 'good' idea, then forgot about it. I'd guess if the few legit content creators quit making DCUO vids, they'd be up there till doomsday too.

Not sure if this happens because someone is a spearhead for an idea...then either transfers roles, gets fired, abducted by aliens...whatever, or if they honestly are like "hey let's really work on this thing and make it gre...SQUIRREL!!!"

To be blunt, that's always going to be a stumbling point with DCUO because they're using a licensed IP. Other hero games in the past had either the freedom to use their own made-up IP or bought the IP so they could use it as they saw fit. So with those games, you really didn't have the connection to the established or iconic heroes and villains of those game universes that we do here. It made it easier to feel like the heroes of the game.

As long as any licensed DC characters are around, THEY'RE going to be the heroes and villains of the game universe. There's no getting around that. It's the exact same challenge that players faced with SWG. We were heroes in the Star Wars galaxy, but we were never going to be the hero who brought balance to the Force or blew up the second Death Star (game was set just after A New Hope).

At best in SWG, players were going to be at or near the level of characters like Wedge from the OT (the only featured Rebel pilot to make it through all three movies). Here? Well, we're kind of in the same role that Booster Gold had in one of the Justice League Unlimited episodes where he was crowd control. And until or unless the iconics are removed from the game for some reason, that's always the way it's going to be.

I’m an OG and wish I was still into it like I was. 2014 dcuo was awesome!

That still doesn't explain why even the Iconics are severely underpowered. Literally every aspect of combat in this game feels off when compared to the source material.

There are literally 0 instances where I've been in combat and thought to myself this feels like DC... the combat is slow and has almost no physical impact. We have superpowers, if you want to call them that, but it feels more like a beefed up wizard from WoW than it does anything out of DC. The movement is sub-par when compared to almost any other superhero game. The combat is like a 3/10 in the same category. I get that it's an MMO, but it still doesn't have to stick with the same standard MMO combat that works for other genres in terms of combat abilities. I absolutely hate how slow we are in combat, and the fact that most powers make us completely stationary is ridiculous.

The movement trees and Iconic abilities have practically went untouched since release, aside from a few Artifacts that enhances a few of them.

Weapon combat, when used properly, doesn't feel like DC.

Powers don't feel like DC (they even managed to screw up Heat Vision with that ridiculous stationary stance).

Combat movement doesn't feel like DC.

Combat encounters don't feel like DC.

They just didn't nail it anywhere... other than the dress up portion.

Generally agree with the issue raised, but I think Klark is active in DCUO. He doesn't stream the sort of content I'm interested in, but he's posted to the forums as KlarkKent.

Oh he doesn't interact with the community a lot on here aside from test server and reporting bugs. That's probably why not a lot of people have heard of him.

Didn’t realize it was that Klark since there’s so many Superman names in the game and I heard he quit DCUO so I thought that Klark was inactive but if he’s still doing testing after this latest episode good for him.

I heard Geoforce quit because he didn't get an invite.

It’s so bizarre how certain content creators were overlooked but now a lot of it makes more sense in that it was never intended to help DCUO players anyways.

Read every post (quickly) and enjoyed the conversation. As a player without strong, inflexible opinions on everything personally, there's one question I'd ask related to the op's last sentence directive...

Would it be so terrible for active players enjoying the game or those at least trying to do so if the chatty malcontents kept their in-game lists under 95 theses? What am I missing... does Mr. Ji Ham login and monitor game chat to find out our thoughts on DCUO's direction?? :p

Love y'all, fam, and I'll always support pushing for what matters to you, but when it comes to in-game comms specifically, Stop complaining (in several repeated messages) or Stop playing (with your wasted slot on the server feeding your wisdom and values to the indiscriminate masses who simply wanna know a spam location). Please and thank you :)

Note: I get the bigger picture objection to the premise; my post is directed at a very specific, very unproductive (imho) behavior.

I did want to slightly correct myself here, Recently went to a local comic shop and saw they were advertising the new episode on the back of some comics. So that is something for them via marketing. Though the recent changes arent gonna help with the word of mouth. Still, just wanted to update that they are advertising this new episode via the back of comics

I am guessing he must have been on the fence and this was the last straw kind of deal. Although it would be an understandable straw from his point of view.
