How long did it take you to get there? I really hate grinding but I know I'm gonna have to lol

I joined PS last year in July and have 193. They're not hard to get, do you hate grinding because of some of the players in your group? That's what has prevented me from getting more feats.

I met really great people who helped me get there, people with 200+ SP should be that type of person, not ones who put others down for having less.

I came back to the game this past winter and was around 50+ SP, I'm now 190+. Thanks go to my league mates and in-game friends. If you need some help, PM me I can point you in the right direction.

It depands on you, really. I know people that started early 2015 and have about 265 sp right now.

If you're really committed to the grind, you'll get there in no time. But don't be discouraged, go at your own pace, do a little a day and you'll eventually hit your goal.

I don't have much SP myself around being 150 even though I started in the summer of 2012 (Worth noting I have never had a real helpful league) and sometimes I sink hours into grinding. I admit it's nice doing something not tied to end game content.

It depends on your group and how much effort you put into it. Me it took 2 years to hit 270. You could really skip to cr 175 like I mean skip to it and get a 4 man group and run all solos, open world bounties, duos, and alerts with raid walkins all in a day and you could idk walk out with at least a 100 if not more. Then get 8 player and run all raids and get a good 20 more and then do the dailies and that's like 10 more. Collect your styles as that is worth a pot of gold.

SP are supper easy to get...especially right now. For the most part you just need to know what feats you are going for. There are a ton of feats that you can get just from buying things from the broker. I have over 190 and have been playing since 2011...but I never grind for them. You can easily get 50 sp in a weekend of grinding.

all depends on how much you grind , been playing for about a year and I'm now at 251 , not as much as others but it's something lol , you just gotta sit down play some music and get her done.

It depends on you and how much grind you want to put in.
I hate doing them, so almost every SP I have is just by playing. I don't look which ones I have or what's needed to get the next one in general. Been subbed since FFL came out

If you're going it alone, it can take a while. Even if you're trying to put groups together for a specific feat, that's time in of itself ... especially if you get numbskulls who are just attracted to the word "feat" and don't want to follow instructions. Late at night when the kiddies have all gone to bed is a good time to get quality people, but there aren't as many people altogether.

Just a warning, don't be a feat leech. People are wary of helping folks with feats they already have, only to have that person move on and not return the favor.

At some point, I'm planning on posting in League Recruitment section (as the forum LFG) that I'm going out for a particular open-world feat that counts for everyone in the group (eg: reapers, black thumb, bounty hunting, etc), with time/server/faction, and will set up a temporary chat channel for people to ask to join live. But, there's nothing precluding you or someone else from doing the same kind of thing.

Been playing about 4 years. So things like the 25k farming feat came over time. Things were more expensive then so I sold bytes and mods and bought the rarer collections.

I used a website to get all the briefings, got styles by playing content.

Was recruited by a pvp league long ago so we won a lot.

Then I got lucky here and there with pugs. I actually got the medic feat in a pug.

I never really cared for sp because I find the grind boring/pointless. I have over 200 and most came by just playing the game. Look at the feat list and start off by trying the do the easiest feats worth the most points. Before you Q for content, check to see if you need a feat from it. Then ask your group if theyre down to help you get the feat because odds are they need it too.

PvP feats are harder to get now with all the brokeness. I got most of them in the good ol days when you were loot locked from arenas. But form a group amd make sure you find a healer.

You want skill points, ask the group to get XYZ feat in the content. Wait and see what they state. If they say ok, have a plan to get the feat.

I have helped many players get many feats and I like Delta simply just run stuff and got most of my feats that way. I wanted 150 and once I got there I stopped caring about feats. I got to 225 by helping others get feats, not for myself but others. If I got it ok and if not, not an issue for me.

    1 year - 9 + months - 273 skill points all through pugging

You may not necessarily have to or at least not to an extreme. The number of SP to unlock all your crits looks much lower now. Those are the most important stats. A single point into a base stat gives you a big boost. Every point after that is minimal. Say you have 170 SP after you've bought your weapons, your movement mode bonuses, and your crits. Then you dump all 170 into might. The first point might get you 200 might. Then each point thereafter starts at 4 but scales up the more you pay into that stat. Maybe you get another 800 might if we're being generous. We don't know how they're going to scale those bonuses yet or stats from gear but assume you'll have 15000 might from gear at CR 175. How much is that 1000 extra might from SP really worth? It's valuable to be sure but won't be a deal breaker. Now of course the elitist SP crowd will say it's absolutely necessary to have all that SP but in reality you'll still be able to complete all content just fine without it. And like now, true skill will still trump skill points all other things being equal.
  16. Streven Dedicated Player

In the end it looks to me like SP are not changing that much. They'll give people a slight edge on the scoreboard, a reason to brag, and a reason to be elitist jerks.

Nice to have but not really necessary.

One contributing factor in getting SP is your league. If you're lucky enough to have a feat oriented league, you have leadership that's willing to take time out and run old content with you to pick up feats you ignored when you were leveling up. This has nothing to do with "elitism" or any idiocy like that. It's about having a pool of players available who can legitimately run end of game content successfully without wiping a dozen times on the first boss. If you don't have the kinds of leaders who like helping out with feats, either become that person, or find a new league.

Yeah, yeah... I know it's possible for now to be effective with Ice or Mental with only 65 SP, but players like that have a tendency to be really limited beyond their ability to dish out damage. Heaven help you if you need them in a support role.

You can't pugg solo content and about 25% of your feats come from solo content. :)

I know one player that quite this game after 3 months because he had all SP in that time. He played it 20 hours a day straight. He created plan, worked it and got all but Back from the Hack feat in 3 month time frame. This was prior to LPVE, but he did it and than quit.

He told me MMOs should not be that easy and quick.
