I notice that most of the freezing on ps3 is done in the hall of doom or watch tower and sometimes on alerts. I played last night for awhile and was able to get my character from level 62 to 72 with only one freeze. Try to stay in your base as long as your can if your over level 30 and only doing alerts. I spent most of my time there and had only one freeze and that's when I was in hall of doom buying stuff. Try your best to stay in Gotham or Metropolis if you have to go out. I finish most of my bounties with one freeze while in Gotham and Metropolis. Don't pvp because the day before I froze twice while in pvp and right after pvp. Try to play when it's less activity like early in the morning or late at night. I read another forum where the legends pve buddhaven was buggy. Don't play there either if that's still the case because it may increase your chances of freezing. I played it once and froze and didn't play it again. Wait till Devs fix the freezing first to play it if you haven't played it yet. Well this work for me just trying to help out fellow members.
Yes, works for me too, I just stay in the open world, my base, also safehouses seem to not be affected and challenges and duos. I didn't freeze once. But raids and HQ, don't go there or instant freeze. Mepps annonced that the fix is coming very soon so we'll all play normally again.
I can confirm that being in the back of the Bludhaven pit I freeze every time. I haven't frozen once during PvPL 1v1 or 2v2. There was one freeze I was able to duplicate, was switching a specific chat channel. I ended up just leaving that chat channel. If it weren't for other freezes, I would say it's a chat problem ... accepting queues and group invites causes me to freeze a lot.
Hmm? I would say try to stay in your base when getting ready to go on alerts. I finish all my duos last night while just waiting in my base. And got two raids done. If being in groups is freezing you up alot try not to play in groups then. I know that being in group froze me up alot too when the freezing started to happen with the update.
I would like to add, sending tells seems to increase freezing drastically. Hopefully we will have the patch by wednesday.
Devs.....I don't know where to post this at so this is the first page I found with a slot to report. ****PLEASE please fix the freezing to ps servers. I really honestly think that DC has messed up my playstation and fried its harddrive and files. I've been kicked since you enabled the kick for immediate kicking availability soon as a man freezes. This is a huge problem. Since the PC got hacked or failed or whatever happened to it day of the update had destroyed the playstation servers I'm guessing since its cross platform now? Is that why it has been totally messed up since the pc failed? I've froze at least 30 times a day for a week or since the update. That has to of fried my system files or something. Could it be since I got that corrupted files and just straight freezes so much that now its just the ps freezing or is it the servers? All my friends are freezing as well and idk if its a wide spread thing or just my league. I really think that you need to implement vote kicking after at least 3-5 mins of a person freezing get away from this 15 min teleport linkdead vote kick thing and make it to line up with ps3 freezing cuz ps4 can come right back on before they get the vote in and if your on ps3 your ******. Its not fair I hate having to shout for the last boss and run it with a failed group that couldn't beat it til I'm tanking or something and they struggled til their tank left and then I gotta come in as clean up its not fun. I want to run it with my group all the way through so we get our synergy going and rhythm. If you change the vote kick to like 3-5 mins people can go piss and smoke a cig or something and stretch a sec and kill adds til the tank gets back from reclogging the whole system not just an app. It would work perfect to allow a person a chance at least of linkdead being anything helpful at all. It should work to help a player who DC to get back into the group when they relog I mean not everybody just rage quits and stuff I never do that ****. But changing the linkdead and vote kick system to either be all lthe way to the right (Being able to immediately kick a person soon as they dc is wrong and if wavedox never existed people wouldn't be kicking anyways.) or you all made it go all the way to the left (keep a person who rage quits and didnt' dc in the group for 15 mins and make the group disband cuz they couldn't wait that long or something) I swear theres a middle ground and its perfect for the whole gaming community. a 3-5 mins vote kick block to allow a person to relog a ps3 is the perfect amount of time to give a player a chance at least of completing the raids that your running and not have to rerun it with no loot through the first 2 bosses again to freeze again get kicked and not get the last boss beat and wasted 4 hours. Please dev team, please fix this to where ps3 has a chance to relog and complete the raids that were spending money to reset and play and not everybody has allday to just rerun something for no loot to get back to the last boss just because a group is allowed to instantly vote kick a person who get a dc symbol by their name. Its just not fair. It makes me look bad having to shout for the last boss and stuff and u won't know how they play when you get in the group at the end. The rhythms broken by then. Its just not fun. I love DC Universe online I have 5 toons 113 and up and I really enjoy it. Can't wait for munitions and Atomic for real. But please fix it where it doesn't freeze I honestly think its gonna fry my systems harddrive or files or whatever it says that could be destroyed if you don't do the repair. I don't have the money for another one or I would have already got a ps4. I can barely afford the legendary membership and the respect token and alil replays a month. I just can't have all 5 toons missing certain bosses on each raid I just can't keep up with what toon needs what boss because of all the freezes this week that I didn't get to linkdead back into the raid run with that people were allowed to instantly vote kick me out with no chance at all to have them wait a sec to see if I relog back on, its really not fair. People are ******** that play the game cuz ps4 allowed all the GTA type players to join and wavedox made people just accept that they should be ******** and kick people instantlyl without caring about beating a raid or having fun they just are greedy and want to b top dps and get gear and don't care about the group at all.
I have had some leaguemates playing on the ps4 experiencing this problem as well, but It is predominantly a ps3 issue brought upon by the latest update. I personally am pushing towards 100 hard freezes on my ps3 since gu46 dropped. And on a possibly unrelated note my ps3 froze twice this am and now refuses to work at all............ Lol, hopefully the supossed fix goes through sooner than later.
