So you guys really did just want easy feats....

With a large side helping of "What people will do" prophecy and "What these people probably do" mind reading.

The logic is faulty though, because the same thing applies to allowing elite feats in regular, elite+ feats in elite and it just keeps cascading down until there's nothing left and where the individual person draws the line is entirely subjective.

Nevertheless and that said, I actually don't care if people want easier feats, but, be transparent and honest about your desires and continue by all means to advocate for what you want, it is just ultimately what you want and that's fine.

At this point the developers haven't changed their opinion on the matter, evidenced by changes made to date, but you never know when someone in the development team won't come along and perhaps agree with you, so more power to you, even if I don't agree.

Cough... splutter... okay I better revert back to my more contentious inner voiced personality before it catches me.

What I’m reading from the pro tax statters is that feats don’t matter, running anything before eeg doesn’t matter, stats don’t matter, and the difficulty of the game don’t matter. So why even play the game if you can’t use your stats, are limited to end game content, and want a more difficult game but choose not to play the difficult game if dc is a casual game?

I’m sorry but not sorry. I pay for my stats and I want to use my stats. I still need feats throughout the game but I ain’t doing that nerfed. Ppl such as myself play dc to pass the time and to have fun, not to just give up and rage quit cause ellet crap is nothing but one shots. The whole point of progression is to get stronger (not weaker) to go back and get older feats more easily. If you can’t comprehend that, then I’m not sorry for you.

    YES!!!!!

Why?! WHY is this concept sooooo difficult for some to comprehend?! Thank you, Essential Exobyte, for speaking with clarity and common sense!

Where did you get the idea that’ stats don’t matter? Where did you get that running EEG doesn’t matter? Or that difficulty doesn’t matter? Seems you’re just pulling things out your rear.

Stats do matter. The more you get the easier the content gets. This also applies to EEG. If certain feats are to hard you can always come back when it’s easier. There is not a single feat that gets harder as time passes. The only difference is you are comparing these feats to pre clamp. It’s funny that when you guys cry about something like swapping you’re quick to say “just because something was originally intended doesn’t mean it’s intended now”. Or calling things an exploit lol. Maybe you guys were exploiting a non clamp era. The devs already said they never expected stats to get this out of hand. So by you own groups logic you guys were using an exploit and want to be able to exploit the game again.

Anti clamper: remove the clamp because I want to feel powerful
Devs reduce the clamp soft cap
Anti clampers: you should remove it because we are entitled to our stats. It has nothing to do with rewards. We promise.
Devs reduce the clamp the lowest range they can without having things break
Anti clampers: ok that’s great but we still don’t feel powerful and this has nothing to do with feats. Anything who says this is just putting works in our mouths
    Devs introduce casual mode
Anti clampers: umm actually can you remove the clamp because we want to get all the feats easily.

Funny how the anti clampers always move the goal post. As stated above. Same can be gathered by their views on swapping

“Swapping should be removed because it gives them an unfair advantage”
You say players can choose to remove gear to make it harder but anti swappers can’t put on stronger gear to make things easier. You guys can swap now but swappers can swap once it’s locked.

“Swapping is an exploit because it’s game breaking and/or it wasn’t intended”
Having to much stats is game breaking and the devs already stated this was never intended.

Everything you guys say is utter bs pulled out of selfish wants. Changing the narrative to fit you demands

I was bored so I started to read an ignored post. Shame on me. But I had to stop after ‘come back when it’s easier’. Sorry, maybe try reading that again. Servers are down so you got time.

I know reading isn’t one of your strengths. But I find it funny that you point out something that’s literally part of what you quoted and then you tell me to go back and read lol. Typical anti clamper

    *reads through entire thread*

    Huh.

So after all this time and all the back-and-forth on the topic, the only new reason given for eliminating the clamp is...(re-reads first post)...because the devs have introduced custom queues?

    o_O

Not exactly what I'd call persuasive.

    *sigh*

Once again, I am compelled to put out the reminder that Steam numbers cannot and probably should not be used as a metric for DCUO's population because you do not need to use Steam to run and play DCUO on PC, never mind all the other consoles DCUO is available on.

Steam will never be an accurate gauge of the game's population, no matter how hard or how often people will try to use it as such.

Well, how about this then? We turn on Crunchyroll and watch some Solo Leveling together?

It's a pretty safe bet, that Daybreak will start selling those old feats on MP, before they allow lazy and inept players to just cheese them for free. At least that would benefit the company and not just a bunch of kids, who want to pew-pew their way through most of the game with no effort, then stand around in HOL, complaining that there's nothing to do.

In the years some players spent begging for handouts and idly waiting for the clamp to be removed, many others just got better at the game and earned 900+SP legitimately. But if some prefer to spend another few years nagging and moaning, hoping to be given their participation trophy feats - good luck. :)
  13. Essential Exobyte Dedicated Player

So basically the first 10 years of the game was nothing but cheese and participation trophies?? Seems a long time to go pew pew. Just saying. The devs should take away all these feats you got during that time so you can now go get them “legitimately”.
  14. DeitySupreme Unwavering Player

Most people get feats as the dlc comes out and do not wait 10 years until they can one shot things to get feats. This has been common practice ever since the game came out and isn’t just common practice in dcuo and feats, it’s common practice across all games. Something new comes out and most will rush ti get all the shiny things.
  15. Korlick Loyal Player

No, what he is saying is that, instead of complaining and waiting for the clamp to be removed, go play the game and get the feats.
  16. the solowing Unwavering Player

Would you want them to do that? Because even to people on the proclamp side.Wouldnt even agree to that. Yes the rules can change. But nobody's asking for retroactive enforcement.
  17. the solowing Unwavering Player

Again , your single player fantasy has no place in multi-player content.

You want to be a 1 man army, Play a single player game that enables that rather than trying to have group content be made so that it takes a single person to destroy it all within seconds.

You and anyone else can continue to say that these things were inevitable, unavoidable...however I will keep repeating no...they were not. I know this because I passed through just about every run there was multiple times with multiple accounts while things were still unclamped.

Now...If you want to amend the statement to "I could cause bosses to die with a single shot". Sure, I'd wager that's true...I'd guess almost anyone COULD hit too hard, glitching a boss. But do not make it out that it was an unavoidable end, cause I can tell you without question...it wasn't....and I never went in and reset my stats before a run. Not saying I might not ever have removed my weapon or something...but sp reset? Nah...not required now or then.

And no. It isn't too fun when it's too easy...however it's also not too fun when you are running an hour raid, or repeat failing something or disbanding due to the others in your group...when you are only there for some inane count or checklist feat that requires really no skill at all. The 'fun' isn't there regardless most times, so making it 'too easy' really just equals out to 'quicker'....and I think we can all agree, most people like it quicker...or do you not go to phases with more people when fighting an OW boss? Or get at all selective on who joins your E or E+ runs? Why? Because those things also make it quicker. Nothing to be ashamed of...it's just human nature.

Remember when you said they wouldn't keep asking for the clamp to be removed when they got a private queue system ;)
  20. DeitySupreme Unwavering Player

It’s bad game design when players have to actively try to not glitch bosses instead of trying to beat the boss. Spin it any way you want but that’s just horrible design. Imagine if you had someone build you a deck and they said “you can avoid collapsing the deck if you just don’t put any further on it and don’t move to much”. Sorry but no. Games are design to have players actively try to beat the instances while trying.

And we aren’t even talking about taking an hour to beat a raid. Sorry but the anti clampers have shown their true colors and proved it’s always been about easy feats. Something they’ve denied for years. “It’s not about feats it’s about feeling powerful”. Now all of a sudden it’s about feats lol. Yall keep moving the goal post and denying it too. Why should the devs give you guys anything at this point?

Want to feel powerful. Ok they loosened the clamp.
Still not powerful enough. They loosened it to the point that it could break if they loosened it any more.
Added casual. Actually feeling powerful isn’t enough. Now you guys want feats.
