Time Capsules and their feats are here to stay.

I also asked the question whether time capsules are a rotation. It is clear now that time capsules are not a rotation so to speak - there is no limit to this rotation. They are not stopping and there are currently no plans, as of yet, as to how the old ones will return and when.





I would therefore encourage people to put forth ideas as to how time capsules should return and in what manner.

For once, open your eyes, speak with the only power you have i.e. your wallet. The feedback on the forums is meaningless. If you continue to renew your membership and keep buying stabilizers, there is really no incentive for the publishers to do anything.

Make as many posts as you want but till the time, you actions don't reflect your words, it'll fall on deaf years.

I can choose to do what I want, it was obvious in the #askDCUO yesterday that it's not stopping.

Even though the time capsules are mathematically a complete crapshoot people are buying in to them nonetheless.

This either to me represents a larger community than we give this game credit for, or a community evenly divided in terms of the value these capsules provide.

With that being the case you've missed the point of my post entirely. It is obvious the developers are not stopping these capsules because the whales keep feeding them.

In the meantime the most effective tool we have is to like you say, minimize our own involvement in the process but also to provide meaningful feedback to help better the system that seemingly isn't going anywhere.

You can continue to harp on about how the developers don't listen etc. etc.

I'm not pulling my complete financial support of the game away just because I hate "elements" of it, that's just infantile behaviour.

I've acciepted it and moved on, my new worry is hoping they don't use the crappy cool down timers to sell TC power/cool down mods.

That's just it, your not so infantile behavior will not bring any solution to this problem. Your history of feedback should tell you this.

The only time publishers have changed their position has happened when their bottom line dips. Continuing to support them with your money is tacit consent.

I have supported this game for 6 years spending in excess of $15000, but I will not support predatory game design any further.

I think we all need to do the same to be honest , I am a massive anti capsule advocate but they are here to stay , i'll just keep my cash in my wallet and will forget about the SP attached to them unfortunately.

It's no good complaining on here anymore , nobody listens to our feedback weather constructive or dismissive so we either take it in the chin and choose to stay or quit , I have just began to play my low level toons and gear up while open episodes are live , when they close i'll go play something else as I wont sub any longer as i wont pay to keep my main up in SP and be forced to replay content.

For me everything hangs on the stat revamp and how the player base is after it hits , it's a scary time for the whole game imo.

I hope I have a reason to come back full time , I really do.

Nothing has been mentioned about new feats attached to them. That's is forum speculation.

At some point, y'all are going to realize you're just a very vocal minority. Time capsules in every form are hot sellers. People like them. Just spend a minute at the broker and see. All that slowdown? That's from people buying and selling TCs and what's in them.

People on the forums can stomp up and down and hold their breath til ther blue, but nobody's going to care in marketing, because they're obviously a success.

I'd also point out that if time capsules will be rotated, there will be a finite amount of different versions of time capsules meaning there is a finite amount of SP and on a long enough time line, everything is attainable. Only 52 weeks in a year guys. You can do the math yourselves. (its 6. 7 if they run the qwardian only for the month that the event is active.)

I support a lot of games, even though I don't like elements of them. I do this because overall I play them to enjoy them. I do enjoy elements of DCUO and it does provide me with entertainment. I will continue to subscribe for that reason.

If you don't want to subscribe because you want to take a 'moral stand' then feel free to do so that's your prerogative.

And that you are wrong about. Mepps has already talked about how there will always be new Time Capsules being added to the game.

The developers have no intention of stopping the release of new time capsules, they're infinite, not finite.

The developers have no plans as yet, as to how, when and in what manner time capsules will return. This was all confimed yesterday by Mepps. screenshots of his responses to me are up there in my previous post.

Soon enough, the statsmatter thing will introduce new facets of P2W (quite a few can be sampled on the test server). Hope you continue to keep playing and supporting it. Have fun!

It appears I was indeed wrong about the last part. I stand by the rest of the statement though. The cries on this will go unheard, because tons of players who aren't on the forum complaining about it are happily spending money on them.

You couldn't be more wrong. Those who actually like them are the vocal minority. Everyone else either hates them outright or has just accepted that they're here to stay and buy them up because they don't want to fall behind on feats. I know most in my league actually hates them but continue to buy them anyway because they want those feats. Me, personally, I'm letting my sub drop in March. I'm done giving in to the madness and bs. I'm collecting them up so I can open them with free stabilizers from he event and just gonna buy this last dlc once my sub ends to finish up elite gear for my dps and take my time with that. Devs are clearly destroying the game with all the cash grabs now. Sad how far this game has fallen and how hard they've gone with the money grabbing schemes.

Time will tell, to me that has a far greater threat of impact on my enjoyment of the game than time capsules.

This is it. Those that actually like the Time Capsules are a very rare few. You either split into completely hating them and not spending any money or unwillingly accepting them and spending cash on them to not miss out on feats. Neither actually like TCs.

I have a constantly busy broker showing tons of business going with time capsules, as well as non stop chatter in trade and shout chat looking for stuff from the boxes that show that the majority are at the very least OK with time capsules. you have 100 or so vocal players, many of which can't make up their mind just how much they dislike time capsules, and so offer no coherent unified argument or solution to them to back up yours.

I have 3 time capsules in 4 months created and sold by DBG to back up my position that they are very successful. You have, what exactly?

P.S. Most people don't care about feats. That's why the forum is always full of threads about how there are tons of endgame players with little to no skill points. It's the styles genius. It's always the styles.
