Thumbs up on the event.

Good job! Brought me back to the DLC2 days. After figuring it out to do, got through it in about 40 mins. I like the aspect of actually being rewarded gear that's still useful for my character(s) to. Definitely an alt-friendly event, even if you just do the raid alone. Definitely tops the list on anniversary content.

Anybody have a preview of the actual styles in the vendor? Since it's unattuned, it's not in a state in which it can be previewed.

Alt-friendly? It's going to take me a long time on one character to get some of the new gear. I'd rather not repeat that with alts. Way too grindy.

40 minutes a day per alt? And that's friendly? I guess I value my time way more than that.

Ha! No, that's 40 minutes to figure out the mission set the first time. After you now what to do and you've done the routine, it'll be over much faster. The raid also gives you a gear item as a reward that attunes up to 163.

When you enter the zone it gives you large orange sections to follow on the map you have to search for objective enemies. Once you get the jist of where everything is, it's easily repeatable on alts.

Since everyone is scaled to cr230, the content's base difficulty, and thus time to complete, should be relatively static across your characters that have at least hit level 30. Not sure how the experience would fare for those under the cap, though. Didn't check what the level requirement was for entry.

I don't do raids, so the raid does nothing for me. Granted, that's my weirdo problem. I'm sure it's helpful for other players.

I tend to keep to myself in the game. Sucks that the solos can't be reset but I don't mind that much.
The 8-player event is a little time consuming, frustrating at times, but I was happy with the rewards. It looks like the only reset-able part of the whole thing, which I don't think is alt friendly considering the time span of the event. It'd need to be up for a good six months (I feel) to be classed as alt friendly.

Top tip - don't defeat those bounties. Just prevent them from spawning. Saves a lot of time.

But yeah I'm enjoying the event itself more than expected - and the base items are more than rewarding. :)

The new Event is aweseome..but do we really need another TimeCapsule...??

It would be pretty surprising if most runs end up taking 40 minutes the OP posted. There are some things to learn and figure out which, once figured out, will make the content faster.

Great to hear you enjoyed tackling the mechanics!

  11. BumblingB I got better.

What's a good number to shoot for? I ask this, because events like Summer or Spring tend to have issues with groups causing it to take longer than necessary when you use the on Duty.

Need to clarify. 40 minutes for everything. Both instances (including the stabilizer event), the raid, the 3 daily missions, the initial Watchtower quest that introduces it, and time spent chatting with other players inside the future Metropolis zone trying to figure out what to do, feeling out what needed to be grouped for, forming said group, and completing it all.

Because the raid is still a raid, how long it takes is going to depend on how many people play the roles needed for it. Adds can kill you, Anti-Monitor can kill you. It's not an easy peasy cakewalk unless you have the right group composition. You'll definitely need to have aggro control and pulls to keep enemies from scattering. Controller stuns are needed to keep the void enemies from walking to Anti-Monitor to empower him (a la Sub Construct Eradicator), and focused burn on targets. It makes good use of every role, but it's up to players to decide if they're actually going to budge and utilize the format.

The daily missions are fairly easy (to dps - support roles may struggle a bit if they tackle more than 2 enemies at a time w/o any player backup). The Archon event has two formats, where you can either fight off a large boss that you can find roaming around certain areas (requires a group - about to scale with The Judge from the T1 & 2 days. 2 skilled players can do it, 3 for sure, 4 is no sweat) The 2nd format can be found if you look in other areas, which involves void minions gathering to a focal point to combine into the larger boss from format 1. The minions are easy to kill and can be solo'd by a single dps. So you can either hunt for the solo format or group up and tackle the big sucker. The latter takes rougly 4 minutes. 2 or less with more people.

I'd estimate the dailies will take about 12-15 minutes if going solo. As usual, open world mission credit is shared with all participating players with the exception of the jumbo Archon bosses, which play by open world bounty scorecard rules and will favor groups that hit the damage cap to trigger completion.

The raid is a bit lengthy due to redundancy. It has the Anti-Hall Monitor smack in the center, battling iconics while around him in a circle are large crystals and minions that your team has to destroy first. Once these are destroyed you face down the boss and some adds. It's the crystal portion that takes up time, and players may scatter all over the player instead of staying as a coordinated group - especially if no tanks are present. (They weren't in my run, sadly)

I got KO'd right as the last crystal was destroyed and the next phase of the fight started, but I was able to enter the battle again from outside. Guessing that's intentional and the phases are gated individually, so that's a plus. It's anywhere from 8-10 minutes with a solid group.

There was an issue with the lead-in to the new event in the Monitor Womb of Watchtower. There's a single terminal that provides the mission, and tons of players were clogging access. That might diminish after today. People were also incorrectly using the Striker's Island warp as the blue player markers on the minimap were hiding the portal point.

I'll see if I can get some quick video up. Have to work around idiots using profanity in chat.

Good job with the event i like it but not with the capsules. I'm playing a video game, not a casino. I really hope it fails.

Just ran it and wanted to leave some feedback but the thread is locked. Short version is it's a lot like any of the outside missions, which for the record I like. First time it will take a bit longer to orient yourself and find where specific adds and items tend to spawn. First run took me about 20min for all three but I would suspect that will get faster as I learn to id the specific missions and take the most efficient route.

That said as with the other open world missions they are really hard to properly evaluate on test without a more indicative population. I'm hoping that both a) they can up the numbers on consoles etc as needed, and b) more importantly ticks will share as they have recently in the Typhon monster zone, so that if you're killing the adds and someone swoops in and hits the cog you'll get the credit.

Otherwise, one big suggestion please let the even vendor repair gear. Honestly it should just be standard for all vendors but especially given that the teleport to the event is restricted to the WT.

Finally on that note I did read in the test thread that there isn't a plan to add the event zone to Urgent Warfronts. I would suggest that this be reconsidered. WT lags so bad at the best of times and at the worst it's like I'm having a seizure as I'm trying to work my way through it. Having the ability to bypass it altogether after the first time gathering the journal entry would be much appreciated, I would suspect, by most of the community.

You said it attunes to 163? Just curious if that was a typo because the announcement thread says that it attuned to the same as purple gear, which is 164. So like I said just trying to see if that's a typo or the announcement is wrong.

I recieved a purple drop on my run. They attune to 164. Blue at 163. Not sure if there is green gear.

Took a while to edit/upload, but here's a quick loot at it. It's not the full run of anything i particular, just a glance at the solos and raid to give you an idea of the look and feel.

I have to say i disagree. Have u pugged it? I did a few times today. We had to kick a healer in 1 run because it was so bad. I also tried full league runs for about 2 hours to do the 5min speed feat. Couldnt get it done. We do have a better strat we are gonna try in next few days tho. And then there is the replays that are needed to finish the style. And the bonus u get for extra marks? Its 1 mark. 1.

And has there ever been any other anniversary content? I dont remember any. There was gifts or rewards given out, but no content i can remember. So as far as a list id say its the only piece of anniversary content on that list. Lastly the CCing going on inside the 8 player part i find to be ridiculous. Today i was CCd 4 straight times. Hard CC. Hard stun for 5 seconds or bounced way away from the group. So much fun  Oh i ran inside 8 times today too. Not a single blue lantern aura collection dropped for me  I find it very strange a dps check speed feat was added to an anniversary event that level 5 players can access but there are no feats like that in end game or elite raids.

How do you stop the shadows from forming the big guy? I burned down a bunch, but enough got through that I'd have a large shadow form.

And when dealing with the anti-monitor, I got CCed constantly. I was solo healing without a tank (PUGging), and it made healing really difficult. I also had issues with powers not going off when I wasn't being CCed, which hasn't happened to me before. I'd cast Circle of Protection, then Soul Well which would fail, then get tossed a quarter of the way across the map and have to come back, then do a Boon, try Soul Well again, get CCed... Not much fun.
And I got a green drop, so they exist, too.
