Three Trollers

Ran Gates and BD over the weekend doing just as I said. No power complaints. I was actually using Thought Bubble as my defense debuff and breaking the encasement immediately with Psychic Resonance. Had the shield SC, Tendrils, and Psychic Empowerment. Can't remember the other power on my bar. Was a build I had set up for T4 solo missions, so it wasn't even my standard troller build. DPS that are power dumpers will drain an army of trollers. A good DPS will know how to use weapon combos for damage and power building, rather than just spamming powers.

Mental AOE def debuff is Phantom Flames... Anyway

Man, 3 dps without spam atks... Does same dmg as 2 dps spamming...
I know recover my power bar better than a lot of dps or trolls, and I'm always using Remix, a lot of Remix... And my power is ever low, except when the trolls are full time doing Instant, only... How many players know about the Recovery buff?! I never saw anyone saying about it. Is a buff with 4.5 sec duration... This buff gives power every 0.5 sec, or, 4.5sec/0.5sec = 9 ticks of 10 power(base)... 1600 vit = 10+160% = 26 power every half second, or 260 power every 5 sec...
About the screen... 1400 vit = 24 power each tick...
10+140% = 24... Each 10 vit points = 1%... 1400 vit = 140%

But okay, if you guys prefer play only giving power, power, power, power... Like a zombie, pressing only one button... Okay
I'm dps, if the power is good for me, okay...
But I will stay as dps. I don't wanna play doing only Instant, when as troll.

Again... I only tried to show an idea to make the troll job more fun.

Most teams that want to blast through content actually run single troller, single healer setups. DPS can produce good damage with weapon combos, as well. By dropping a troller and healer, things end up dying very quickly. I such a case, the troller will definitely be a battery, but whatever. Dropping a DPS for another troller may make it more fun for the trollers, but it will ultimately make the content take longer. I have toons that heal, DPS, troll, and tank. I like all the roles, even when being a battery troller. Whatever helps you enjoy the game!

I think you have that mixed 2 dps mixing combos with powers will do more damage than 3 dps spamming. While 3 dps mixing combos with powers will do more than any of them. Bottom line, get 3 smart dps with combos and 2 controllers giving power and debuffs will do more at a more efficient rate.

3 Controllers? This is being ridiculous and just greedy. WHY NOT LEARN TO REPLENISH YOUR OWN POWER SOMETIMES WITH YOUR WEAPON, SODAS, DROPS, ETC. 3 Controllers for anything is excessive and not needed. Are some of you guys this lazy to learn how to be more self sufficient? SMH!!! Sad...just sad.

Man... I'm not a new player in this game...
Again... 2 trollers CAN'T do FULL TIME ATK/DEF DEBUFF... And now, with the new SP points... A lot of dps will lost that HP points... A lot of dps losing 200+ HP... A lot of dps will die more easy...

And... Again... Try give power for my HL Valkyrie WD... And more others 2 HL or Gadgets like me... You can't do full time def/atk debuff without the power fall...

I did Prime with 3 trolls... Is nice to see that Magic doing low dmg and healers spamming heals... No deaths and an easy Prime Run...

Better than a lot of 3 dps Prime like I did... The most of time, the third dps is bad. I prefer a third troll instead this third dps.

Phantasy... I know how recover my power better than you and a lot of dps on this game, fact...

And, AGAIN... My idea is see troller DOING DMG as well... Doing FULL TIME debuffs... Not only full time power.

And, 1 troller can't give power for 7 players. This videos on youtube are videos with GroupSoders, is a rare soder.

Let me know how this works out for you when T5 drops. I have no interest in playing "what if" about that today. Sounds good on paper but hasn't been truly tested. In terms of Prime, Gates, Seeds, Veng, Dawn, Unpaid, FOS, BC, Kahn, etc...we're overgeared. You can have a smooth run with just about any group makeup provided you're not overrun with n00bs. So none of that actually counts. I for one have hard enough of a time as it is waiting for the group to pick up a second troll. I should be waiting to pickup a third troll? Aint nobody got time for that!

I'm good dps... My group will run with Mental troll doing full time aoe def debuff, a HL troll doing Ram>Whip>Recharge full time, and maybe a gadget doing full time CryoFoam>Defib...
My group will run with 2 awesome dps and healers spamming heals... In my opinion, will be a smooth t5 run, with low deaths.
And my trolls will controll a lot... Hahaha!

Who says you loose a dps? Nothing in this game really needs more than 1 healer and if 2dps isn't enough then there is an issue, have themearn to dps better… only downside to 3 trolls is finding them.

Second, you don't need them right now because we're overgeared. If you do, you're playing with bad players. You can 5-man just about anything right now. There's nothing more special about 3 trolls, than 3 tanks, than 3 dps, or 3 healers. When you're overgeared, it simply doesn't matter.

Third, the OP has no idea what T5 content will be like or require. The OP is having fun with this idea in his head when it comes to T5 content but the fact of the matter is that he hasn't played T5 content yet. Maybe you end up needing 2 tanks. What's he gonna do then? At this point, the proper raid make-up for T5 content is 100% unknowable.

There's no point talking about this.

Roll with however many trolls, tanks or healers you would like. Sometimes people forget this is a game meant to be enjoyed not a second job. If you wanna rock a raid with 3 trolls go for it! I rather be in a raid where everyone is having a good time than be constantly judged by others in the raid.

I already have a job, don't need a second one. If playing DCUO is your job, then you need a hobby

I approve of the 3 trolls plan but where the trolls at I remember this pass week on my DPS we couldn't find a troll for T4 stuff for the longest time but you can always find a DPS the fact is this there are more DPS in this game alot of healers because the are needed the most Tanks are few also. Trolls are few because ppl complain about power too much (mainly those who don't know how to conserve power themselves to help the troller) so I say to have 3 in a Raid is good.

I when I troll prefer to play a support role instead of a battery type plus I can hit like a a DPS well not like a top one maybe like a middle ground one. So a raid with 3 trolls to give out power and having a full health team always works if you have a good team with you for high T4 I've done it before in GATES and it was the better runs no deaths healers was like amazed tanks got to do more than block and pull stuff and my God the DPS you think you put up numbers before they put up some of the highest I've seen in GATES it was like numbers you see when you been there for 45 mins. but I say this because I was with a trusted team we knew our strengths and weaknesses this might not work for many ppl plus there are ppl who are strictly traditional they like 1 tank and 3 dps and 2 trolls and healers so getting past that will be hard.

But in the end its all about fun I've seen ppl try all kinds of sets up for fun like doing FoS3 with a full healer group lol it too forever but it got done. I've seen GATES beat with a full DPS group that was fun but we died alot I mean a lot...

ALSO THIS IS A GAME...so who cares what you run have fun.

I used to run three trollers often when I was mental, or wanted to compare myself to another DPS without worrying about power, though, It really comes down to whether or not they're worth it. The main benefit of running the third troller is consistency, and at the tier of content we're at, we just don't really need constant attack/def debuffs, in fact in several cases, debuffing isn't worth it at the cost of the power

I know you're not a new player, you're easily among the best on USPC, but you've also got to take into account very few DPS can operate at your level.

Though I'm relatively certain with power consumption now scaling starting with T5 ( I don't trust Tunso promises of no direct effect) and the difficulty of content to be associated with it, a thrid troller will likely become necessary in the future

1 troll, 1 healer, 1 tank, 5 dps... & everyone learns to live off of a "PoT"-only power diet. If you absolutely need more power than a PoT & the occasional dump provides, then use a cola or a SD.

With 5 dps'es who know how to use their weapon/kill stuff quick, things would die so fast, that the excess power would be just that, excess.

Beats clogging up the roster with 3 trolls(1st off where does one even FiND these 3 magical trolls?... I think that's the entire amount of trolls on the whole USPS3 villain side, sooo)...

Just can't see why the whole community had went spam happy?... Like that's the best way for raid-groups to perform well. SMH

Yea and this is the 3min prime vid with only 2 trolls and 5dps and you can see throughout we barely are less than 30% power at any point and normally its 40-50% power. Ive done the whole HL dps scene, I know how much power we can use how fast, Ive trolled for your prime runs with you and the other dps spamming and never dropped below 80% power at any point, yea that sounds all well and good but its just wasted power and is a horribly inefficient group.

if anything run a troll in dps stance with instant, he gets the modifiers and only loses 400vit with the stance switch, this is how we did the prime speed run back in mixed t3 gear

But again, at least for current content, a third troller (unless you're encasement breaking) doesn't yield a faster run, smoother/safer, it can be, but at least until T5 comes out, I don't see it getting popular.

About that prime.. Is simple, 8 SupplyDrop IV and 8 Orbital Strike IV...
