Thoughts since Launch of GU36

It means that I am HL , the others are not, and like using the HB and I was doing great as I was. Now I can't do much more damage than a fresh level 30 and I will be forced to use another weapon than the one I want to just to be a little competitive. I hear WM will fix that but for the next few weeks I have to ENDURE this and pay for it. It is painful. I've played 3 years and done my time, so don't come at me with "adaption issues" as I said, this is the FIRST TIME EVER I have really been upset following an update and felt totally shut out.

LOL! the next few days are going to be fun. I personally haven't been able to log in yet but I look forward to seeing what the game is like now.

On a side note, I think this situation affords the opportunity to bring up some old hat. The devs really need to figure out way to let the PS players test the game. Relying on a handful of the 30% of total population that can test doesn't appear to be a viable strategy. If you have a legendary membership (on any platform) you should have access to the test server. I would gladly test anything and everything if I didn't have to pay another membership, even if it's only a monthly

I'm just laughing that anyone would complain about a loss of resto. We already had about 1000 resto more than we needed.

Kinda disappointed. Was hoping they would nerf resto from gear as well.

Lol its not like they listen to the pc tester or or the poeple in wip that have a clue what there talking about. Realy best you could up for hl was dazed, i guess willpower was tooken? If they did me and most of my league wouldnt be playing ff arr while we wait for eso.

I don't see how allowing PS people to test would make any difference.

Alright, I'll bite. He can complain about GU36 all he wants and you can join his bandwagon of tears if you like. The sensible people already foresaw these complaint/feedback threads coming so the only thing I'm doing is laughing as I read. However, my issue is with people CONTINUOUSLY using the "Play Your Way" slogan out of context. It has nothing to do with how you play the game at all so it's annoying to see people try and twist it to support their whiny argument.


I got on for a while and I tested some of the changes on my Gadget toon briefly. I noticed and disliked the change to Fear Gas/Gauss but you don't see me crying about it. It's bad but not as bad as people are making it seem. I'll play around with it more and figure new ways out to DPS. Good lord and the trade chat is 10x worse than the forum complaints.

IMO the testing population is so low that proper testing cannot be performed. So what you call "not listening to the PC tester" I call lack of input. Before Quantum dropped initially, i paid for a monthly PC membership (on top of my PS legendary) to test it. To say the population was...scant...is putting it lightly.

Really they said slow it down, give it a daze pi , get rid of jump clipping and keep power cost all about the same. Who are these advanced players so i can take there title away lol. All the advanced players want nothing to do with this madness.

I'm debating whether I want to log in and check my new powerset out or not. My gut tells me to just be happy with where I am and leave it at that.

If you do not understand. Then you have no idea what it means to be a dps. Just like spytle saying hl dpsing is easy, no idea what it meant to be a dps.

That explains your frustration a little better to me. The HL and HB specifics may well be a pain for you in the interim until DLC 10 drops. And there are no assurances that WM will satiate other HL users after the changes introduced by GU 36. I haven't seen this in awhile, but I remember a time when call-outs for Healers were sometimes contingent on "Sorcery only" or "Sorcery preferred." If what you have observed is experienced by other HL DPS players, then perhaps we might see a temporary preference for DPS of other power/weapons combos.

Oh, good... Another "New Member" on forums speaking for "the vets". A little late to the party, aren't you? Your concerns have been noted - about a month ago...

I support all of this except the word fluidity. That's out the window. Maybe system or mechanics instead.
