This game is in a dire state.

It’s hard to just leave a game when you’ve invested so much time and money into it, but you’re right. I love this game, and want it to succeed (which is why I can be overtly critical of it sometimes), but it’s a baby that doesn’t love me back, and it shows through how the community is treated. I can no longer sit around and continue to receive the bare minimum. Lately, I’ve only been logging on to do seasonals, stablizers, and play with styles before logging off. I don’t have the drive to do anything else, and eventually, I won’t have the drive to even log on. I have a sliver of hope left, but all I can do is keep my expectations at a minimum and watch from the sidelines.

Sounds exactly like me, except I finally ripped the bandaid off back in September or so, before the new episode even released. Hundreds of people were shocked I even stuck around that long, especially having all friends completely quit a long time prior, and being the target of toxicity mainly due to being a villain having top SP for a long while. I was met with constant hate and put on a pedestal I never asked to be on. But that's another story...

The game felt like a job, and even though feat chasing was my biggest fun and motivation, I just had to let it go. Wayyy too much FOMO too, and even though I haven't been gone that long, I feel as if I already missed WAY too much to ever even catch up. I couldn't imagine how it would be for a new player...

—And like clockwork, a new booster bundle is set to arrive next week; right off the heels of the last booster bundle, no less. The fact they can piece together a blog for a booster bundle but not a roadmap shows where their priorities are. Not surprised in the least, but this is very disappointing.

I know right??? It's so disgustingly blatently obvious. And like I wrote on the other thread:

Players ask for content, and they release it locked behind paywalls. I guess be careful what you wish for...

All the while players have been complaining about it, oh the irony...

Also, what was with what I heard about them making things more expensive after people complained things were already too expensive? They REMOVED content to "fix" it. Ha ha.

What a joke...

People complained the St Patricks Day rewards were too costly, cause it's normally a 2 week event, so their answer was to remove some items and then increase the price of the emote reward, came across as really passive-aggressive.

I've given seasonal feedback over the years and I have to admit it's fairly routinely ignored.

This scares me more than no update talk or a new BB nobody wanted because was this more a DI decision, a Daybreak decision or an EG7 decision? Maybe there’s no distinction between the three at this point who knows? But whether their tone deaf passive aggressive trouble solving is a middle management or from the top thing it means that unless someone realizes it alienates the customer and player communities we’re in for a rough ride herein on out.

I think it's been present in the company for a long while, the players in this game (certainly in game) joke about the developer monkey paw, you have to be careful what feedback you give, because they'll take it, spin it and turn it into something you never asked for and only serves to hurt the players.

It's always been a concern in my opinion.

What's even crazier is that the date was seemingly pushed back to next week due to the backlash, unless there was a mistake with the date (which I doubt). I genuinely wanna know what their thought process was to announce a booster bundle in the midst of all this.

"Okay you can delay the free content to work on tweaks, we don't care about that free crap, but you BETTER release our cash grab on time or you're all fired. P.S. when tweaking that free crap, don't make it too easy, either. Make it feel like they are getting a discount, all the while they are actually being tricked and/or enticed to purchase the marks."
