It's all just a tactic to get players to spend money on seasonal tokens in the marketplace. This is why I have a problem with players who endorse the booster bundle and time capsule bonuses, as well as the wolfpack tokens. Of course people don't have to buy it, but by being complicit in this, it sets the precedent that it's okay to overcharge your playerbase, and eventually that greed will seep into every aspect of the game to the point we'll be getting less rewards and more things will have to be paid for. This is a prime example.

So, yeah yeah yeah, "the game is dying, blah blah blah"... here's a question: What are YOU doing to actively breathe new life into the game? Have you tried creating a League that would give players a better experience? Have you tried getting your friends interested in running the game with you, so you and they can have a better experience? Have you tried spreading the word about the game on your Social Media accounts, to try to get others interested in joining the player base?

You can sit here and whine and complain until the proverbial cows come home, OR you can try to take positive action to improve things. The choice is yours.

...oh you mean get friends to actually join the game? Are you nuts? I couldn't, with a clear conscience, sound mind and soul, invite even my worst enemy to join this absolutely atrocious avaricious nightmare train wreck horror show of what has become of DCUO.

Firstly, it's not my responsibility to improve anything concerning this game. Secondly, there's a difference between criticism and complaining. I happen to be doing the former, you seem to be doing the latter. I advise you to reread the thread, and actually add something of value to the conversation. I don't have the bandwidth on any occasion to go back and forth with bootlickers who are blind to the game's faults. You're part of the reason why it's going downhill.

Delete the game, delete your characters and move on. The game been dead for the last 6 years and only has gotten worse. Amazing I decided to check the forums randomly and see the same things about them doing absolutely nothing.

People, leave this sinking ship while you still can, otherwise it will drag you down with it.

I believe there will be soon an announcement about the closure of DCUO and all i can say is just prepare for it.

I think it genuinely might be time to let go of this game.

A ton of people will agree with me on this, but most of us stopped playing for the actual gameplay/content a while ago... It's mostly all the people we play with that kept us around for so long. I've met some amazing human beings in all the years I've been on dc and most are still good friends, just not playing anymore.

It's been in the dying stage for a good couple of years, but it's dead now. (Maybe the new creative director has some insane CPR skills, but im not getting my hopes up ever again)

FGSe was the last time this game was booming, maybe til SM, but nonetheless it's been dying for sure and anybody who says otherwise is just blinded by pure delusion or has very poor awareness.

Lets also agree that a contributing factor is the incessant spam going on in chat. Hard to get groups when you have to be ever vigilant about ignoring/moderating chat.
And then theres the glitches... broker glitches menu glitches the ally bug now, threads are made and nothings done.
Just saying i pay monthly for this and I'm asking myself more frequently than ever....

We've all found our 'it's not DCUO but its better than nothing replacement' though right?

If not, it might be time you find it.

Simple, I like to discuss hypothetical ways for the game to improve that the devs might take into consideration. A game I'd possibly return to someday if things got better. Just because I see how sick it is, doesn't mean I wouldn't subject myself to it further, or subject others to it. I'm already a part of the system, and spent a lot of money on something im passionate about: DCUO. It's a love-hate relationship.

I might be stuck with her, but I'm not gonna recommend her to my friends after we break up lol.

Tbh, I've never felt more free (especially of the FOMO) since I left. As much as I'd love to see them pull the plug, I still put a lot of time, money, and passion into the game to fight for it to come alive again.

Just like Daybreak/D-INK's management over the last few years, 2024 started out with some very fine games.

Maybe the bots know something is up and are trying to sell off their "stock" ASAP before they can't anymore lol

i think the only thing in dire straights right now is the playerbase.

i think its obv to anyone who doesnt wish this game to be something it isnt to understand what is going on...
