The selfishness of some players is staggering

Based on my recent experiences levelling a Tank alt on my own without a league, I can comfortably say that High CR players running low tier content are venom to the game's health.

There are 2 reasons why the game has an appaling player base at the top of the end game. One reason is because the developers make it far too easy to progress for fear of offending anyone who has an alt. The other reason is because high CR players with absolutely no courtesy for anyone else, are eliminating all difficult, challenge and need for a player to learn their role during the "easier" parts of the game. Resulting with them arriving in the current tier with very little skill and usually defaulting to playing the DPS role, which has no pressure or dependency to perform well compared to the other roles.

The developers need to take action with this now because it is damaging to the overall health of the game.

2 min timer just for operations, not alerts.

In all seriousness, this is why I am sticking with one toon. Leveling up now without the acts of douches would be mission impossible without a good league. Once I reach 170 sp, I'll consider creating an alt.

so wait you can bash / give your opinions on high CR ppl but "how dare" someone do the same of those of lower CRs?

He was bashing certain group of egomaniac high CR's while the person he was responding to was grouping all lower CR's in one group and bashing them.

I'm willing to vent over a video game. Can I do that without you being overly sensetive about it or taking it personally?

One thing, the changes to the ignore system may help with that. They're changing ignore so you won't end up queueing into a group with any of the ignored person's alts.

As a high cr player if I ever need to return to "cakewalk" content I usually stay behind the group and range...nothing kills them from behind while I continue to offer long range support
I almost never go ahead because someone will die it's just not me.
I've even caught myself doing this in end game content because the healer is way more important than me.

This will definitely be a double-edged sword. Could get harder to pug, and yet that satisfaction of knowing you won't run with the same headache. I look forward to seeing how it works out, at least. lol

And I'm just sitting here twirling my thumbs until I have the option to teleport to every instance with a teleporter.

Ps. I'm tired of people complaining that they either have high cr's ruin their game experience by killing everything or not killing everything. Also at cr 60 you should be able to duo bludhaven even in troll stance.

Not sure if this has been said already. But imo it looks like those players were probaly carried through content and power leveled and now need to go back and do some stuff over again for feats. Those kinds of players are everywhere and they are a plague in this game. My personal opinion is i wish they would all just go away. They ruin the experience of playing this game for fun for alot of people.

Yea this is 100% false. I see more and more on these forums that there is so much misinformation. Again players that have been carried or power level through content and then are misinformed how things work. Sadly they dont ever test or research any of the info other people give them, they instead 100% believe it and spread it to even more people. Every time some player spits some info at me i either correct them when its wrong or if im not sure i look it up or test it myself. The misinformation in this game runs rampant these days. It needs to stop. There are only a handful of alerts that kick u out after its been completed. Its nowhere near every single instance.

Nobodies money is more valuable than anyone else's. That's not the point the person in your quote is making. He's saying that High CR players are ruining the game for low CR/new players due to sheer ignorance, arrogance and a lack of common courtesy and is pondering just how many potential fans of DCUO have left because of player ignorance.

If a player isn't having a good time, then they aren't likely to stick around or monetarily support the game. Which in turn, forces the developers to rely on shady replay badge tactics because the only people paying for things in the game are the high CR players.

They should make it where when going through an instance for the first time, the instance is stat clamped.

The odds that people at CR 110+ would never once have gone into Bludhaven previously, and waited for Legends PVE to get the briefings and investigations, seem staggeringly low. Why would anyone wait for the Legends version to do it? Are they masochistic? Why not just get them in the original version?
