whateves dude the fact is certain roles /power can be healer, Controllers ,or Tanks But EVERYONE CAN GO DPS..If they choose too. That's why dps is a DEFAULT NOT A ROLE.

Its never been easier than now to get gear for both your roles, so you can always fit in. If anything there should be a requirement to have certain cr for both your roles, would make it easier for everyone.

I always turn role optional off but I maybe get a maybe balanced group 1 out of four times.

Lately, it's tanks and healers that want to DPS, I'm glad Spytle said in the ui double queing is going away

LMBO.... Dude there is literally not enough hours in the day to tell you ALL the story of seeing dpses go down in flames in DUOS......DUOS DUDE!!! Always a hoot to see The dps get ko'd for the umpteenth time While I in controller stance am just breezing thru the content soloing the boss while the dps waits outside the door for me to finish up so he can collect loot from MY WORK. It is cute how dpses think that are beast till a trash mob wales on them, I see every dps every time try to block and roll away with health bar at 35% while I finish them off NO PROBLEM!!!!

dps is a role, even the game says so..

Don't you mean certain powers?
It's the "default" role but it's still a role. They do something in the group therefore by definition of the word they are playing a role.
By definition of the game as well it is a role. When you choose the switch role option you can switch between dps and support. It's called switch role and not "stop doing your role and only do damage" because both are roles that have purpose in content. Just because you're mad that so many people dps doesn't mean it takes away from the fact that it IS a role.

A lot of the things listed are invalidated by the general DPS population's selfishness. PUG DPSes are not going to use support role tactical mods to benefit others. They will do whatever is best for their damage output.

I just happened to be kicked for being a support role. I'm a controller I'm supposed to attract the enemies to me and stun them so the other people like a healer or a tank won't get ***** by so many of them. So theres this dude not doing nothing absolutely nothing and we've gotten owned by Jor El. So I suggested we kick him cause he wasn't even helping us out. Turns out I got kicked instead cause he was a DPS player and they needed him. I've been trying to find a good league to join but still haven't found one :/ I'm a good controller just stuck on PVE cr level 67 and cr level 69 ( got two toons both controllers). I might not be the best but I've stuck with people when things really hit the fan. If theres anybody out there that has a good helpful league can I join.

As a controller, your job is to give power, debuff enemies and crowd control. The tanks job is to aggro (attract) the enemies. I could be wrong but you may have been kicked simply because you wanted to kick someone else. Most likely they knew the person.

This forum has everything you need. The league recruitment center is where you can go to find a league and there is a guide section that can help you as well whether it be understanding your powers or becoming a better controller.

Then you must REALLY enjoy being a dps
