Thanks for the info about Thermite Mine, I totally forgot to actually check that. I requested for both of them to be available though so that we have them as cheap PI utilizers. I also requested for Implosion Mine's range to be extended to midrange so that it's a viable option for a cheap midrange dazed build. So far it looks like fast clipping will have to go without PI for the most part.

I tested HB Solar Flame, Uppercut, Power Discharge. Sadly Discharge doesn't restore enough Power to work well in my clipping build although it may on live with 150+ SP in Power. I don't really like Uppercut but it seemed to work alright.
For Bow I tested all the combos but with the least attention to Arrow Storm and Flurry Shot since they aren't clippable. The melee combos do less damage than comparable melee combos from proper melee weapons. WM seems bad, I don't think it could keep up with a clipping build right now.
I only used 2H with Mental but for clipping purposes this should not make a difference. My spec was similar and I didn't run out of Power. Even when I went low I just switched from Big Scoop to Home Run and that slowed me down enough to get filled up again by my own regen and the Troll. Obviously you can do the same with 1H and Spin Chop/Flurry/Flip Slash which makes them pretty flexible.

To be honest I don't particularly like not clipping and I would only use Turret clipping on a Power heavy loadout that cant handle or doesn't have time for additional "proper" powers. I think it's a viable option for dense rotations such as mine but it's really not a go-to option for any build because it's a low gain for a high cost (loadout slot).

I'd like to see someone spec for mostly Prec/Might and low Power for a WM build with Turret active. I doubt it's possible right now without running dry and even if it is, I doubt it can compete with a fast clipping build.

With my build I never ran dry even with 2 medium cost powers every 12 seconds (Decoy+Display) and 3 cheap powers every 3.5-4 seconds (2xSticky and 1xNapalm). With a Troll I could easily replace Napalm with Cryo, another medium cost power. So I think the sweet spot for that kind of build is around 30-37k Power. No idea how a WM build would work considering WM combos don't help with regen and you'd want to use expensive powers like EMP instead of cheap ones there.

As for Reserve Tank, with the shift from Instant Power to self regen that won't be much of a problem anymore. Especially considering it's 5% of total Power now so those with higher pools gain (absolutely) more from it than those with smaller pools. So it won't be a standalone Power boost anymore that is used by low Power Tanks and absorbs Power Dumps. It's going to be an amplifier for specific heavy-Power builds that probably don't even get into Power Dump range to begin with unless they play catastrophically bad.

I have about 95% of the power finished as they are on test and what they do. I categorized them through Power Interaction. The ones that set up an interaction go first then the ones that benefit from the PI. Supercharges and supportive/defensive/self buff powers are in their own category too. I'm just looking for the dev quote that says Battle Drone weapon buffs reduce power regen or something.

As always GJ Dark. U re really 1 st person which posts or videos ill search to learn more Gadgets power.
    Ok...but my main question is
are Gadgets still be 3(or 2) instant 1 hit dps power(like emp) after that stats rewamps ll be released? cuz im really feel myself comfortable atm

    Sup sup ladies!

Hows the weather like in Gotham?
I just recently came back and notice the revamp in progress. Very interesting.
Hope you guys are all doing well.

I did this blend a couple of days ago with the starting 166 gears, full mod. It's true that it can't compete with a fast clip build but I did it solely for a solo instance. I just haven't gotten around recording it but I might do some footage tonight. Though it would be nice to have some damage benchmarks since I have no idea if I'm hitting it right.

Would be cool if we could meet up and run a duo for a direct comparison, although I'm geared to 175. For solo content I think comparing clear time is the most reliable measurement. Doesn't seem like a lot of people are testing weapon heavy builds which I guess is a strong indicator for how popular fast clipping and PFT really are compared to WM.

I'm still catching up on the updates as far as information, so correct me if I'm wrong.

In regards to running a duo, if you two want a direct comparison, why not just use the current highest vendor gear on test. Keep the stats and as level as possible including investments towards innates.

Crimson, are you trying to compare a dps rotation with WM and Non WM?
  8. Penryn Guest

I've been using the the completion time for the Spark of Parallax solo as a benchmark for measuring different loadouts.

Going Precision-heavy and trying to use a very weapons-heavy/Weapon Mastery loadout always gives me the worst clear times in that solo. I haven't been too impressed with weapons damage or the implementation of Weapon Mastery under StatsRevamp.
  9. Crimson Mayhem Loyal Player

Yeah I'm interested to see if any non-Power focused builds are viable at all right now. The most likely build to not spec into Power is WM I'd say, with long heavy weapon combos and expensive powers in between. Or maybe you'll have to invest in Power either way to be able to use expensive powers at all. I can't really see a viable EMP/Vortex or Turret spec right now without investing heavily in Power, even with WM.

I could see it if WM combos did a bit more damage and the crit window was reintroduced but restored Power instead of the damage bonus.

So I finally did get some footage last night. I ran Seeing Shades Again, CR167 and 171SP dropping equally on prec and might, around 9k might and 9k prec.
I lagged a bit on GuS open world but went fine after the first objective.

First of all, I'd be glad if people shared their clear/finishing time on this solo in at least the same CR regardless of the build just to have a benchmark to begin with.
Second, the approach was pretty much "pewpew" pure savagery of the rotation style, unlike my runs in Iceclub Lounge and Will of Darkseid which I utilized Neural in shielding moments.
Third, pure melee but I realized it would've been useful to have atleast the HB mastery there in instances where there are DoT pools or I have pets/backup doing aggro.

Battle Display to Weapon Mastery (1H to DW). Reason I start far during the WM is mostly because of interrupts but realizing just now it doesn't matter since the last hit isn't that big and I should just make sure spin chop hits at least.
Gauss to EMP. This is pretty much the big hit and that's hit though i'm still kinda baffled with the inconsistencies in the combat log since EMP ranges from 20k hits to 7k hits or less.
Photon, I think I only utilized it once? but as far as I remember using it the ticks were kind of decent and it's a good rotation changer being it hits better during the 30% health-left phase.
Neural Neutralizer, I just didn't get the chance to use it on this vid but I've used them on sliver moments in the other solo and duo.
Supressor Turret, he was just out the entire time but the Felix Faust fight I LOL-ed when it saved my butt when it encased Felix. I didn't really get to observe the ticks but I do remember the flamethrower ticking at 200-400

Comments and suggestions would be super nice.
Maybe I'll try the same WM build but utilize stealth/SC next time... IF I get the time. =)

You mean like Distract then EMP for a big burst hit and 123 (gauss,FG, VC) then EMP for a big burst hit?

The 2 posts with all the info I have on Gadgets on Test is 98% complete. I'm still thinking of creating a chart or something to better visualize the numbers I have. I'm not getting responses from Devs on base numbers info. Which is ok since I can figure that part on my own once I get defense confirmation of 15% & might scaling. If anyone knows if the might formula on live is the same as is on test let me know. Otherwise I can find out tomorrow by comparing might values & damage ranges of what I have on live. Dev confirmation is just to play it safe. It's just much easier to compare numbers at lower values and that's what base info does.

My classes start tomorrow so my testing time is much more limited now. I'm still working on live event gear set so I have to get that done with my extra time. I'm aiming to have my weekends free for testing though. I'll see how it goes.

I have PMs, alot of alerts on my forum account and in game mail that's flooded so I'll respond to, or watch, them when I get a chance tomorrow.

If players want to post something in here before you finalize it and post it in the Gadgets Test Server Forum you can as long as it's related to Gadgets.

Everyone wants it, since everything seems to have been tinkered a little. No idea why Devs are not more forthcoming on basic information.
  15. The Game Well-Known Player

talking about the way players are getting power back.
  16. Crimson Mayhem Loyal Player

Nice to see that you beat the solo at 167. From what one of the devs said last week they seem to consider minimum CR to be 10-11 below enemy so that would be 175 for AF3. Really funny how you killed Faust just when he got you :D

Anyway, you saw for yourself that this build is super unreliable. With Turret out, using expensive powers (EMP) keeps you consistently dry and you couldn't even reliably use EMP after every other WM combo. What was your Power stat?

I'm not sure what the intend is for a build with Turret, or a WM build, or the Power stat in general. Is Turret supposed to be used with a build that specs for Power to compensate the regen penalty, or is it meant for a no-Power, heavy-Precision build (possibly with WM)? Are we supposed to spec heavily for Power in any build that uses expensive powers, WM or not? Is a no-Power build meant to be viable for any role? What about a traditional Prec/Might or pure Prec/pure Might build?

Right now this clearly isn't working all that well. Fast clipping is absolutely possible and very viable, which is great, but neither PFT nor WM seem to be really viable to me so far. To put things into context, I ran an offensive Ice Tank with minimum Power investment and only around 28k Power, with medium fast 2H clipping, and it went really well. But then I didn't use any expensive powers so maybe if you skip those you can build a viable spec with no Power beyond generator mods and two gear affinity slots.

Anyway, Mepps just announced "fundamental adjustments" and I'm guessing based on all the feedback that Power management is going to be either made significantly easier or replaced by yet another alternative mechanic. To be honest I really like the mechanics as they are now, as well as having to balance between Power and role stats (especially with the huge impact stat investment has now), but not everyone likes the same playstyle as I do so the system needs to be adjusted to make more options viable and easily accessible.

The transition from self-sufficient auto-regen AMs to self Power management and stat investment needs to be made as smooth as possible or lots of people will be alienated, confused or just frustrated with the new mechanics.

Not sure. I didn't look too deeply into it to notice anything.

I'm ticked they took it off test server already. I wasn't finished.

I asked 3 others so I'll see if they respond. If not, I'll probably have to post numbers with the lowest achievable might when the sparring targets come up.
  19. AlexanderUnder Level 30

Yeah, that was i mean. Cuz i really prefer 1 big burst power mechanics(emp\pdart).
  20. TheDark Devoted Player

None of the attacks seem to be on the same level as an EMP or PDart with the AM. You have heavy hitters with high power cost but it depends on the NPC. That's one of the reasons why I want to do base numbers. It's so I can see by how much the damage has been reduced compared to an EMP. I haven't gotten a response yet.

Since SR is off test server I'm thinking of just using the same formula anyway. It wouldn't be 100% reliable numbers though until defense and the might formula is confirmed to be the same. Aside from that I'd just have to apply the 10% damage boost. The details on this is something I can get into but it's confusing for some players.
