    I've played a little bit of Rifle WM the other day since my rotation had a lot of range tap in between during 3 PI and I kinda want my toon to be rifle based for the a while, the only problem I had was the WM. The WM timing of Full Auto Mastery kinda throws me off, I don't my the change of distance from adds, though it's an issue on the current raid bosses. I didn't bother with the Slipshot mastery since it negates EMP range. Though I still have to try Slipshot mastery with my Stealth + Distract to Intmidated PD ranged rotation, numbers-wise it's probably a tad bit low than EMP but the idea sounds fun and safe.

    For now i'm running the usual DW/EMP rot, still have to see the fuss with 2H. =)


    *oh and for the troller role, Brawling > Shuriken mastery is the way to go since it's the fastest WM. Faster WM > less power out > you can do more insta/debuffing/buffing.

    I don't mind brawling for trolling so much except when everyone's power is full and I see that troller constantly spam defib on every WM lol. I think that's the biggest issue with brawling. Force of habit for a few

    I usually do a couple of PI (not just CC) for additional damage every once in a while when everyone else is good on power, just to help with the DPSing. =)

    Exactly which is why I'm doing my Light combos if the group is full. That's why I'm looking at Bow if I eventually switch to Gadgets which could be good for AoE knock ups and Quick regen and it's single target for stuff like Throne.

    was checking into the munitions power test thread and saw an interesting tidbit on how their new 8 man stun will still allow tanks to pull. got me thinking if this is something that can be normalized across all powersets. i know atm an enemy put to bed by sleep dart can get pulled but the stunned friends around him sometimes ignore the tank pull. its why i dropped it from my loadout

    also, i know dark has posted on this before, but id really like someone with access there to point out sticky bombs sloppy spread. its a longshot, but if they are polishing stuns for a new power maybe they can quickly polish a few others.

    For PDart, it's usually the enemy you hit & target with PDart that does cannot have a pull overwrite the stun effect. Although it's not labeled, I call it hard rooting because that's essentially what it's doing. All the other 7 targets will be able to be pulled or controlled by another control effect in most cases everytime I use it. Unless they are immune. How many targets do you usually see get "hard rooted"? Is it is usually more than your 1 target?

    Other than Pdart on 1 target, all of our stuns allow for overwriting by other control effects. Mental & Light I believe have some that don't allow pulling. Quantum is famous for it's 3 abilties that don't allow for pulling and "hard root". One thing I keep reading that's just flat out wrong is that some people think these control effects are like or marked as encasements. The only thing they have in common is that they cannot be pulled. Other than that they aren't shelled.

    This is the thread you're talking about where I'm requesting to make the control effect from Sticky Bomb more organized. Even if it's not adjusted, I'm still using it. No one can stop me. Know your AoEs.

    Lol people and quantum's stuns there was a Halls of hades group I was going to join until I saw they wanted quantum trolls only because their stuns were the only ones that could get past the forge master. They wouldn't let me in so I could prove them wrong.:sadface:

    last time i used dart, it was the opposite. its very possible ads could have been immune, but the hard rooted 1 moved with the pull others stayed behind. this was in hall of hades. im gonna play around now and see, and ill also test when im back in there as well.

    lol, i love when people say this. ive solo trolled that fight with nothing but decoy or vortex. so many pugs forget there are other ways to stun and juggle. weapons. powers. if your acro, the foot mod. i love proving people wrong. quantum is the easy way out. gadgets is "pa hombre" to quote a friend lol

    A majority of players don't know how the Controller role works. Both Power healing AND control effects. New players I can forgive but players who have been around for over 3 years... it's like come on.

    For that part of the raid, I also use Decoy like Naum but you don't even need a tank for the first phase. Tank just goes off to the side and I use PDart to stun the Neophytes that spawn at the center. Even Sticky Bomb on one target with its delay can stun NPCs that come out over its 4 ticks of damage.

    I checked again, for me it varies. The target I hit is always "hard rooted" (programmed to not be pulled) but very few cases another 1 is not able to be pulled either. Perhaps it is distance related? Even then, it was only 1 other target from what I got.

    I think now that they have release Munitions and its mostly different types of guns and bombs that the turret in gadgets either needs to be changed to include semi-automatic rounds or they can take the turret away and give gadgets either a wing armor bot or a bat sentinel robot that basically does the same thing as the turret but includes a specialty move. The bat sentinel would have sonic blast obviously and the wing armor would do the circle flight move. To keep turret in its current state and have munitions using guns and turrets that are so much better makes the gadget turret a joke so they should really think about changing it.

    if youve run the scarecrow solo there is a move Batwoman does where she drops pellets and they explode stunning everything around them. i have wanted that move for gadgets for awhile now, so i wouldnt mind losing turret for it. barring that, an upgraded form of implosion mine would be nice. i like the cuff stun it does and would like this available out of stealth. do not mind if either of these require midrange to work

    did you have a tank try to pull the darted target? our ice tank never logged in yesterday so didn't get to try. my taser would not work, but I wasn't the one who pulled the darted target when I noticed it could be pull, the tank did.

    You don't really need a tank to test it. It's more of a "just test just incase."

    I use Taser Pull & Grapple Line Attack's pull. Pulls are registered the same for all abilties. So if you can't pull a target with one of those then other pull abilties won't be able to pull them either. Like on my Quantum test alt, I can't use Einstein's Ray or Low Pressure to pull targets that Anomaly or Tach Burst stun because they aren't programmed to allow for pull overwrite.

    i know 100% he wasnt able to move our quantum trolls rooted ads, but he was able to move mine. this was in HoH. maybe something with their profiles?

    ill try to get more info and get back.

    I can't quite test it now but does surprise attack give a guaranteed crit on the next power used immediately after it?

    No. Surprise Attack is just an offensive move. If the effects from Stealth are still active, like 60% Critical Ability Attack Chance & 60% Critical Weapon Attack Chance, then you might be able to sneak in a hit after surprise attack if it's under 2 seconds. About 2 seconds is the length of that buff from Stealth. It also isn't guaranteed by that buff alone. You're more likely to get that hit in on PC, or anywhere you don't have server lag.

    Ok, so if I use surprise attack immediately and destealth I'll keep the 60% buff for a total of two seconds from the time I entered stealth?
