The Current State Of Electric DPS

So i was in a group today that was about to run PZe, upon seeing my name (i'm currently Cr 161), a troller asked me if i was electric, i replied yes and he straight up left, the group disbanded, i proceeded to join a bbs group, got kicked for being electric, joined a BNe group, got kicked again. In the end i gave up and formed my own group ending up getting kicked again. Now i'm not blaming them, it's just that, no matter what you do, how you change your loadout, how many of them "SP" you have, you will always be last in the dps group, the state of electric is way too bad right now in DPS atleast and anyone who says it's a good dps power, is sorely mistaken. Now i have two choices, either i wait for the revamp or i spend $10 (which i prolly won't be until next month). I would really love some advice from the community!

the choice is yours, you can go ahead and switch power or wait right now there is no telling of when electric will be getting updated as far as we know the next thing to be updated will be weapons.

It's really a shame that people "think" it's bad enough to not play with an Electric character.

Or join a league and stop pugging with snobby players. God forbid anyone have to put in a little work.

That being said, Earth 8 is always looking for new members and we don't discriminate you because you just happen to enjoy being electric.

Yea it's really messed up how the devs are taking their sweet time getting the dps balanced. Don't listen to players who tell you not to post either, because players like them are the reason the devs take their time getting stuff done. Electric and nature are crap dps powers, and have been for over a year now. it should be a crime how the devs are handling it

Personally I would do healing in big missions until fixed. Or bench that character while it is broken and run another one if you can.

Id say its more of a rude players thing. I wont say what i really think of people who do stuff like this but im sure u get what im saying. On flip side yes electric is pretty bad atm. But ive seen some decent ones. Ive also seen a ton of bad ones who who have no idea how to play the power and use a ton of power.

Imo u have 2 choices. Switch powers. Or find some players to run with on the reg who have a clue. My league runs with the people in our league. What power u are doesnt matter. If we run into some issues because someone is a certain power (this rarely happens) then we switch some roles around maybe. Point is we deal w/it and work it out. We have 2 electric people in our league. I dont like trolling em when they heal but i do like the challenge of it sometimes. Plus 1 of them knows what hes doing and doesnt really use a lot of power. If they dps then we know the run will just take a few mins longer. Like 3-5 mins. I know the community thinks a run taking 5mins longer is the end of the world but we as a league dont mind at all.

And sometimes these groups keeps garbage dps that, of course, are the FOTM powers (Earth, ice, mental...) but only spam dual pistol's full auto. I like to see nature/electricity players around in duos, the vast majority put a lot of effort on their dpsing.

I feel your pain....I don't even try to dps in group content anymore on my electric. If I cant heal I don't bother unless someone dies in battle and we need to finish a boss fight. Half the time when I run duos I have to debate whether I'm more useful as a healer vs dps.

Sad...for such a visually awesome powerset.

Thanks for the advice m8s! For now, i think i'll just farm healer gear.

They (Devs) did say they will look into electric soon after weapons fix....

If I wasn't feeling sarcastic Id say 6 more months but Nature and Electric are in dire straits. They need to be first up after the weapon update

Current state of healers is that, if you are a healer, you can make your own group or get picked up anytime you please...

A healer can shout need three DPS pzr and beat it in ten mins or less....

A healer can shout for SM and always find a group...in fact, a good healer has a pick of groups...

If you run DPS though...make sure you're better than your competition...

I love electric...it's just sooooo bad right now. I'll never kick someone playing electric though.

I shelved my main because i got sick of just healing, electric dps sucks so hard that you're pretty much regulated to healing if you want to progress end game at least imo
