Ok, how meta can you get? LOL

Reincarnated as a Slime is currently having a martial arts tournament to help Rimuru celebrate the founding of his country/ascension to Demon Lord.

One participant is the world's Hero, Masayuki (voiced by the same actor who plays Bell Cranel in Danmachi).

His opponent before the finals? A minotaur named Bovix.

    Slight spoiler alert

The outcome? Masayuki offers to fight Bovix in the dungeon Rimuru created because Bovix is still exhausted from his match and Masayuki wants both to be able to fight at full strength.

    Bovix agrees.

So Masayuki (Bell) is going to fight Bovix (a minotaur) in a dungeon later.

    :D

    Gotta love it.

    Okay, shows finishing up.

Pseudo Harem continued its cuteness overload all throughout the season, and it made for a really easy-going watch. Seeing the relationship blossom and develop through the series was great, even showing what happened after Senpai graduated. They even had some fun dealing with how Eiji and Rin treat each other, including the harem personalities that have pretty much been their love language. A great chill rom-com to watch, and one I'd recommend because it pretty much always left me with at least a happy grin if not full-blown smile on my face.

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian was overall a good show, but I think the ending for this season was at the very least an odd stopping point because it kind of left everything up in the air in a weird way. They developed a few things that were introduced in a decent way (answering some questions while bringing up others) and the relationships between Kuze and Alya as well as Kuze and Yuki were great. But the ending left me feeling like, "wait, THAT'S where it's stopping for now?!" It wasn't a bad ending and I'll be watching the second season, but that ending point just put me off for some reason. Could just be me, I don't know.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime finally finished up its third season, as well. And yes, the show does deserve some flak for the amount of boardroom/meeting scenes they had, I won't deny that. LOL But it helped lay the groundwork for much of what happened this season and I'd imagine what happens in the next season AND film, so I didn't really have a problem with it. The action scenes were top notch, the comedy was on point and the story developments (both macro and micro among characters) were fun to watch. Good stuff all around, so if you've liked what you've seen in previous seasons and the Scarlet Bond film it's pretty much a home run.

Failure Frame was very much a show that can be described as "ARIFURETA with more edgelord stuff" (I think it was even described as such in a year end best of/worst of list on ANN). The show can be really hit or miss with animation, especially with the transitions they try to make between traditional and CG when it comes to characters. But the monsters are decently designed and animated. Character depth isn't all that deep overall, especially with male villains (their main show of being the bad guy seems to center around a particular kind of assault against women). And yet despite the flaws, I found myself keeping up with the show. It wasn't a trainwreck or hate watch by any means, but there was just enough entertainment to keep me engaged. It's not a great show by any means, but I've seen worse. :D

...because I REALLY want to gush over this one. :D

Wistoria: Wand and Sword was just awesome. It's very easy to look at the premise as something we've seen MANY times before in manga/anime/light novels: young underdog fights to progress in a system where he's at a complete disadvantage, with this being he can't use magic and everyone else can. But the show shines in the execution of telling that story, especially when it comes to the fight sequences. They went hard right off the bat and continued all through the run of the show, so there's no surprise that many of the clips released on Crunchyroll's YouTube channel center on the action sequences.

But they've also done a great job of telling the story of the world they're living in and building that up behind the surface level. They've also seeded more than a few lingering questions about some characters and may have thrown in some GRAND crossover stuff in the last episode (a short blond "kid" named Finn who functions as a "Supporter" in the school's dungeon shows up lol). Remember, the show's source material was written by the same author as DanMachi.

Another show I'd highly recommend without hesitation.
