I can’t wait for KonoSuba! YAY!

Also, Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 1 is now available on Crunchyroll! More Mr. Scruffy Scruff Scruff! Lol

The Faraway Paladin Season 2 Ep. 1 is also now available. Will is back along with his best friend Meneldor the half-elf and Robina the traveling troubadour. It’s a light hearted anime with tendencies to tug at your heart strings.

There are so many good anime this fall season. I have like 15 different anime that I am watching this fall season. I think I over committed myself

My only complaint was that I feel like I should have re-watched some of the first season beforehand, as the first episode drops you back into the world without any real recap. Otherwise very good stuff and I'm glad to see it back.

For me it makes up for the summer season a little, as there wasn't a whole lot that jumped out and grabbed me as "must watch" shows. I found myself either re-watching older shows or just the most recent episodes of new shows a lot this past season.

That's not to say there weren't good shows in summer, just not a lot of them that I wanted to watch.

    As for recaps, well:

Classroom for Heroes was one of the later starting shows and it at least had an interesting premise. After defeating the Demon King, the Great Hero enrolls in a hero school to make friends and experience something of the life he never had (he never had the chance to grow up normally). They go for a lot of goofy comedy (the designs of most of the Elite hero class are great) but it doesn't always land (an episode with a female character dealing with gaining weight was a REAL miss). It had its moments, but I kind of had to force myself to watch the last episode just to finish it out, so I don't really think it'd be one I'd recommend. Humor can be really subjective, though, so maybe it might work better for someone else.

The Dreaming Boy is a Realist was a bit of an odd duck show. The title might make you think it had some weird/supernatural elements like Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, but it's pretty much a slice-of-life show where a young man decides he's being too intrusive on the life of the girl he likes and backs off. The show then shows the effects of his decision on both their lives, including all the new people they interact with as a result. I don't know if you could call the show engrossing and it's not a huge mystery to see where things will probably end up, but it was interesting enough for me to see it through to the end.

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces was pretty much more of the first series, and that's not a bad thing. :D It's basically extra stuff from the manga that didn't make it into the show, and there is some fun stuff to watch. Heck, we even get to see how Hori's parents met in high school. The only thing that might bring it down is that Hori herself doesn't always come across as the best girlfriend, but that's well in line with the original show. If you liked the original it's probably something you'll like.

Mushoku Tensei was just as fascinating and messy to watch as the previous seasons, as you'd expect. But I think the messiness that comes from Rudeus being a flawed individual is a large part of what keeps it engaging. You end up either cheering for Rudeus when he makes progress or wanting to shake him when he screws up (again). I think the next part starts up next year, so the wait for seeing where they go next could be a long one.

One of my favorite anime in the summer season was Helck and Undead Murder Farce.
Helck is such a heartwarming anime that almost every episode it touches the heart. Helck is a big man with a big heart. Vermillo was so distrusting of Helck at first but now she has come to know that Helck is a kind and caring person. I love how she yells all the the time. Undead Murder Farce was also a favorite. I love mysteries and detective anime and movies or even books. I have read the 1st volume of Sherlock Holmes. What makes this anime so special is that we have characters like Sherlock Holmes, Watson, Alister Crowely Moriarty, Frankenstien, Jack the Ripper and so many others from fiction and real history. This anime is different and I love the mystery and detective work

I’m going to have to check out Undead Murder Farce now! I love mysteries too!

Oh, kinda off subject of anime but on subject about mysteries: A Haunting in Venice is awesome! Loved it.

You won't be dissapointed with Undead Murder Farce. A haunting in Venice sounds really good. I just read the plot and I like it

So, the newer stuff that hasn't been mentioned or addressed by me yet:

The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy sounds like it should be an isekai, but it's not. Well, not really. The sword master is a former Demon Lord reincarnated many many many years after his time, to the point where tech-infused magic exists in the world. But he's also been reincarnated into a ten year old version of his human self (he was a hero who was brought over to the dark side of his world). A lot of the usual "OP character" tropes are being hit, but there's just enough going on to keep me watching for now.

The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent, Girlfriend, Girlfriend and The Eminence in Shadow are back as well, and if you liked those shows the second seasons are well on their way towards scratching those particular itches. LOL The recap of season one of Eminence in the season opener is a great gag/joke/bit in and of itself. :D

As for romcoms, we've got Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me and The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You. The former is one I won't get into much other than it's a "boy meets and dates gyaru" kind of story, because it's really better to watch and see what they do with it. The latter? It's your basic harem setup taken to the extreme, and they're having a LOT of fun with it. The tsundere is probably the most tsundere I've seen. LOL Both are worth a look, I think.

I don't think this speaks much to the long-term effect this show might have had overall. I saw this announcement on ANN and had to click on it because I knew it sounded familiar but I couldn't place it.

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Has New Anime in the Works - News - Anime News Network

So yeah, the show I found so amusing because it went so very VERY far over the top with the wish fulfillment (jumping from a multi-story window without a scratch and wrestling a bear in front of classmates and NONE of them seemed to think twice about it except to say "he's so cool!" )? It's getting a new anime and I had to be reminded which show it was. LOL

I'm a little afraid of checking that one out. I've heard nothing but good things about it, but from what I've read of the premise it might hit a little too hard for me, as I'm starting to get up there in years. lol

Just as an aside, you gotta love how anime can give you wonderfully random moments like that in their shows. :D
