So, I play with the sorcery powerset, and sometimes I like to put wings on my character, and I always try to make them look like they're some sort of spell, but I would like a material that made them like the spirits in the game, a semitransparent purple. Maybe for Halloween?

All o' y'all that keep wanting more options for Slimline gloves and boots, the new Unlawful Justice Slimline Style Set (this month's Membership Doctor Fate Reward, which will be available from the Dr. Fate Vendor in a few months for non-members and those that missed out on it this month) has Vigilante II's slimline gloves and boots BUILT INTO THE CHEST AND LEGS!

On the boots specifically, the black and white are 2 different color channels. If you set both color slots to the same color, you can have solid, single-color boots appropriate for many characters you might want to make!

Kindly ignore the part I've stricken out, it turns out I was wrong. The 3 stripes on the back of the boots are set to be the same color slot as the pants.

The weirdest thing is that we have a Head Style where that's combined together with a Hood, but we still don't have that by itself. Closest thing we have is the Bandana Face Style.

Haven't read the thread so sorry if a repeat:

Tech. Lots of light up bits, think Tron mixed with lex Luther mixed with war machine. Lexcorp salvation / mastermind / Hive, but new and not specific to a single theme. Enough to mix and match and make your own get up, rather than just dressing up a single style. Earth based, not alien in nature. Slightly future tech.

    Also, all dope.

We already have tons and tons of Tech-based Style Sets, and they're adding more all the time!

As for the light-up stuff, sure, some of them have built-in glowing color slots, and some don't. But ALL OF THEM can have Neon Chroma Materials applied to them so you can have glowing areas!

Here's just a couple examples I created, using Neon Chroma Materials (specifically the Black Neon Chroma Materials, and the Golden Neon Chroma Materials), when I set out to make Batman's Hellbat Armor, both versions as seen with the McFarlane Toys action figures:

I also used the Black Composite Neon Chroma Materials to make a Stealth Batsuit that appeared in a comic, because I thought it looked cooler that way:

So, In My Opinion, the Neon Chroma Materials we have in the game already can help immensely to achieve that "Tech" look, as long as you can find a Neon Chroma Material with the color scheme you want. Hope that helps.

I will investigate the neon chroma and see how it works. In past all the materials I've got kinda smack it with 1 or 2 colors, you lose the complexity of the 4 color palette. Granted I know I don't have top tier materials.

Betty-52 ("B-52") has asked me to put in a formal request for a bee hive hairstyle.

    This is your inspiration:

One key, very cool thing to remember when creating your outfits: You have a 4 Color Palette AND 3 slots for Materials or Chroma Materials! And on any given Style Item in your outfit, you can color it with your Palette, OR use a Material or Chroma Material on it! This allows you to realize outfits that need, in some cases, way more than 4 colors!

The best examples I can show you are Vigilante II, where I needed 5 colors for the whole outfit. So I supplemented my Palette with one of the Yellow Royal Chroma Materials on his belt:

Another challenging one, where the 4 Color Palette was woefully inadequate, was Boba Fett's armor from Return of the Jedi. 4 colors was hard enough to work with for the main part of the armor suit, but then add in a jetpack that has a completely different, totally bonkers color scheme from the rest of the armor, and there was only one solution: Do the jet pack with the Blue Royal Chroma Material:

And therein lies the real beauty of DCUO's Style Creation Tools: Once you've acquired enough of the tools from which to create your costumes, you'll be quite astonished at what you can make in this game.

Hope these couple examples give you some ideas to get your creative juices flowing, and I look forward to seeing your creations! :)

I think it'd be cool to get a bottom to match the torchbearer chest. Complete with integrated boots that match the texture and material of the integrated gloves. Also I'd love a classic Kyle Rayner 90s style emblem, complete the torchbearer set, y'know?
