Okay think of this, some poor kid finally earns a bit of money doing chores or whatever and he thinks to himself 'sweet I can finally get a teleport for my base' He then looks up the mods on broker and see's the basic gotham/metro, safe houses, bases and league halls in short supply and selling for millions. The kid probably feels cheated and like what a waste of money. I was lucky enough to get the mods when they were first introduced, but my alts, forget it. I know its the sellers right to sell for whatever price they want, and I'm not here to debate that. I'm just wondering why in the first place did the drop rate for these mods drastically decline? Is it a bug in the system or intended? Is it too much to ask for the drop rate to go back to when teleport's were first introduced? Lets be honest, no one cares for these random city location mods, and without the main mods mentioned, teleport's are kinda useless. Thank you, have a nice day.
Thanks kzin. I guess I'll be doing some farming. I still don't understand why the drop rate declined though
I don't think it's just a matter of content loot tables (like it was with ERK in T6/7). If it is then it's bad too and should be fixed. I think they actually screwed up the drop rates when they updated the "extra loot" lists of non-content specific loot. Good thing I still have some of the good mods in my bank, it could be years before this gets fixed considering how long they took to bring back ERK.
I was wondering when this would be a topic lol Now that ERKs are back, I'm sure this will be the next hot topic.
These mods drop like crazy in tier 1 to 3 content. Only problem is it is all the specific locations dropping, and not the ones you really need for your teleporter. I haven't seen one of big three drop since we went to the loot picker. Something is off with it, my guess is there are just to many mods and your chance of hitting the big one is non existent or close to it. Either way, maybe in 2018 they will have it fixed. 2017 is already booked with all the problems stats matters, and cr differential removal will bring.
I wish they got rid of the mods non-sense for the teleporter. We pay $10 for the darn thing. Let us use the darn thing.
Since the Teleporter also has to be fed via the batteries in the Mainframe, and we get HQ as a freebie, perhaps the first battery could unlock Gotham and Metropolis, the second Bases and League Halls, and the third Urgent Warfronts. Then all F2P and Premium players would have to worry about is the cash cap to recharge the batteries
