Ok riddle me this. Currently on the live server 100 marks of war convert to 6500 marks of triumph; so why a T4 piece that cost 60 marks of war on live server cost 7500 marks of triumph on test server? The conversion rate is completely off right there.
The MoW conversion with GU25 will be changed to 125 from 65, so the conversion rate on Test server currently is accurate.
The conversion rate of MoW was up'd to 125 . So it cost the same. 400 MoW (which buys a full T4 set on Live) will convert to 50K MoT (which buys a full T4 Set on Test). EDIT: Vederyn beat me to it.
That converion rate is the problem though. On the live server is fine considering how long it would take to get 6500 MoT or 100 MoW. But if thats the case where the GU 25 conversion rate is set in stone just stock up on MoW convert then get your T4 gear after update.
Their adding T4 award boxes also. Gates of Tartarus will give 2500 MoT for the box, The box from Prime gives 2300 MoT. Then you have the marks from for running the raids themselves and then all the lower tier award boxes (using replays will be over kill). I really don't see t4 gear being over priced in the long run.
Exactly! Especially if you are leveling an alt from 30 and don't purchase a single teir until t4 and just use drop. We all know there is shortcuts. A fresh player may think it's daunting to get to t4 with current progression, but the devs really thought this through. It still is a little against alts, but not as bad as it used to be.
Yep, it depends on effort and connections. To be honest, I've been playing GW2 too and if I wanted a leaguemate to make me 80 level gear, I could. Then I could farm instances. I just need to put the time in, but that would be achievable. It is different for DCUO. They use the random loot option and mark grind. You can get to high level gear wise fast, but to achieve max potential a LOT of luck plays into it. In a way, it is better for the devs to have that dangling carrot, but annoying for the player. But as Brice pointed out, we are all mice in a box. It doesn't matter if you gamble in las vegas or gamble in a game, you are still doing it because you enjoy doing it. I love DCUO. I also love my own loot too, but the devs have changed loot a bit over the years so it is a lot better.
