Third, was just trying to get round 10 beat, and when Hyper came up with that idea it was taken with the same grain of salt as when Camel wanted one attempt standing on the half broken statue in Throne "just to see what happens". I ignored it the same way I tried to ignore the N-bomb usage on the Iconics team speak... Pretended it didn't have anything to do with me and kept playing.

Sure it was shifty, but he also couldn't attack anything, and was basically a power sponge, much the same way you found out the few moments *you* tried it when *we* discovered it when we ran the earlier levels in SM when I was still in your league.

Not shifty, exploiting/cheating/glitching. Shifty is trying to make it sound like a sightly viable tactic which it really isn't. I thought you E+C chaps were so amazing (top 1% according to Narcissus himself) that you wouldn't need to rely on such underhanded means to win.

Gotta say, lasers during add waves on R11+ is just stupid. Forces the whole fight to be in the corners with people hugging walls. It's pretty dumb. Ok lasers on boss fights to make it more interesting I guess, but to spend hours on end with your camera turned around is pretty zzzzzzzzzzzz......

SM is clearly broken right now, it has been stated that there should be a tell for the lasers so people can predict and avoid them if they are paying attention obviously, right now there is A. too many lasers spawning at 1 given time, max I saw was 6 at once numerous times, and B. there is no tell because they have spawned on top of people loads of times allowing no time to predict or move. The devs haven't fixed the issue and did pretty much force people to use their movement mode to their full potential by running up the walls. The hidden ledges that shouldn't even be there is also classed as an exploit. This is also something that the devs created and have not fixed yet. I think everyone should refrain on commenting on all r11+ players play style until all of this is fixed. Most of the people with negative feedback probably can't even beat round 8 lol. Anywho once the number of lasers are reduced, everyone is grounded, and the warning for the laser is fixed, there will be no need to run up walls even if we could. SM is obviously broken right now, so until this is fixed properly nobody can really judge a players skill level. Once the playing field is level for everyone and all movement modes are equal only then will be see who is better, because it will come down to the players vigilance and attention to detail which determines their success.

Problems take time to fix, are you saying this gives people implicit permission to continue cheating in the meantime? that's preposterous.

People who obtain anything via these methods should have them stripped and the player should be banned, the devs have spoken and said it's exploiting, your continuation of doing it is "knowingly exploiting the game" and is a breach of the T&C's you signed up to when you agreed to play.

There is also a difference between "actively creating" something an "an accidental bug or oversight". The developers did not make the invisible ledge on purpose so a healer can go up there and hide on the ledge to ensure success. No verbal tirade from you is going to ever justify it.

People that can fly have no way to escape the lasers and you think people with super speed and acro should? wheres the balance and logic in that. It's fairly obvious that it isn't intended and the devs have said so. It isn't a playstyle it's an unintended mechanic so we can comment on it all we like because the devs have said it's not intended and an exploit. Yet you sit here and tell us we should just let you continue doing it, without comment, until they fix it?

The only reason it hasn't been picked up so far is because the previous SM's have been in big open arenas where there aren't walls to run up, even in trigons prison there were no walls. It's truly unfortunate for the developers that they are not anticipating the lows some of the players in this community will stoop to in order to obtain success.

Whoa...hold on...waitaminit...the excuse now is that the group exploited because the Dev's made them do it???

Cripes, that's like one step away from trying to tell folks that exploiting is intended because the developers allowed the exploit to exist in the first place. That's like trying to argue one's way out of a DUI because of WELL...BEER!

Y'know, what I just wish would happen...just once...is that someone in that group would just post, sincerely and without prompting, something akin to:

"Yeah, very sorry about that. I know we probably shouldn't have done that and didn't realize how serious a Terms of Service infraction it was when we did it. We understand that it invalidates any claim we have to server-first anything. Please reset our progress points back to Round 1 and we'll certainly understand if some additional punishment is metered out by Daybreak to those guilty of repeated exploiting. Again, very sorry that we made a mockery of other players' legitimate efforts and accomplishments."

But no, instead, exploiters blame everything and everyone rather than holding themselves accountable for their own choices. Sad.

You know on other games we never see this sort of hate for "cheaters" because on other games there is a large youtube presence where everyone can find out about the glitches and use them themselves. But on DCUO there is not a large youtube presence and people usually keep glitches to themselves so when people find out there was a glitch and didnt get to exploit it themselves they get angry. So post glitches on youtube and we wont have any problems

No one is sorry and never will be. Not one person has said "we told him to get off the ledge". We're nothing but insects to Dru. Dude just wants to be server first. He doesn't care how he gets it.
