Ah yes, back when Soups only fought for Truth and Justice, also when they couldn't even show silhouetted violence

He also saved Lois Lane in Superman: The Animated Series in the episode, World's Finest.

Terrorist: Let's make an example of this hero.
[Shoves Lois into a seat, buckles her seat belt and pulls it tight.]
Terrorist: A very tragic example, I'm afraid, Miss...?
    Lane: Lane.
Terrorist: Lane? Lois Lane? The one Superman always saves?
    Lois Lane: 'Fraid so.

That line is best of whole episode. Superman flies in to save Lois, again.

Wait John Williams is doing music for the show, now? That video gave me chills.
Looks like that video reintroduced the fans to the brilliant style of John Williams.

    From Superman II
Lois Lane: "Way to go, Superman!"
  5. Ankh_Legacy Devoted Player

No, he's not doing the music, that's just a reuse of the original score from the first Christopher Reeve movie, which is the only movie Williams did the score for.

Just a nostalgia thing for at least that episode.

Interestingly, Soups isn't trying to slow the vessel down, but pushing down to help Soupgirl raise the nose

What!!! He doesn't have the trademark 'S' curl?

The engines are still on full blast by the looks of things, so redirecting it from the ground is the most sensible thing to do as they can't exactly stop it, short of trying to hold it still until the fuel runs out.
  8. DarkVisor 15000 Post Club

Yeah, that makes sense, just normally they would have him sink his fingers into the metal and attempt to stop the fall by pulling up slash back the way they came, that was the first thing that stood out for me: does he have Spidey-grip to pull it without leaving fingerprints in the metal? But then noticed him actually pushing down
  9. ShazamFan2014 Loyal Player

If he held on any tighter he'd rip the wings off like in Superman Returns. Not a smart move by someone
trying to save a falling plane of passengers who are about to fall to their tragic deaths.

Wait, Supergirl is making appearances on the Flash show, too?
  12. Yui Loyal Player

Well, the 4-way crossover between the four CW DC shows is happening so yeah. Supergirl will make appearances on Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Yep, Kara and any other character on her show can appear in the Flash and Arrow. That includes Superman. Not to mention the actress who played Laurel / Black Canary signed on similar to other actors who played Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold who will also appear on all 3 shows. I think DC Entertainment and Geoff Johns probably just said screw it, let the CW DC shows be their own universe and let them do their own thing, hence the inclusion of Supes and rumors of reviving the Suicide Squad angle in Arrow. Hopefully that means the possibility of of bringing Batsy into the fray

Wait, we got a TV version of Batman on the way? Is that really going to happen? I hope so.

Well based on the synopsis of the 2 part episode premiere will have Cadmus arriving with the kryptonite (stolen from the DEO) powered foe Metallo. Kara fights him and gets seriously beaten, Supes hears of this, arrives super pissed and confronts Hank about what happened

Well, Superman being mad that sounds like the Superman from BvS. Superman, appears to
get mad every time someone he cares about gets hurt. Again, the show is borrowing from
    BvS and Man of Steel.
  19. DarkVisor 15000 Post Club

Soups has always gotten mad when people he cares about gets hurt, all the way back to when he started
  20. ShazamFan2014 Loyal Player

Yeah, especially in Superman II. He freaking killed Zod after he epicly broke his hand.

General Zod: "Finally, son of Jor-El. Kiss the hand of Zod."
(Superman kneels in front of Zod. He grabs his hand and crushes it. You can hear his hand
    being crushed by Superman.)
    General Zod: "Ahhhh! Ahhhhhhh!"
(Superman theme music plays as Zod yells in pain. He grabs Zod and throws him in the fortress
    cavern.)

You don't threaten the life of Lois Lane. Superman will kill you.
