(suggestion) Central city reward boxes

ok heres my idea.
with the newest dlc we received bounties that when completed, you receive a reward box with a chance to receive the opposing factions armor from there quests.

now, central city has two separate armor styles. reverse for villains. and high voltage for heroes.
how about each bounty for central city we complete not only gives up marks, but also a box that has a 1-10 chance to give you the opposing factions central city gear. functioning just like the ace and strykers/ arkham and steelworks bounties. while i realize this means more of the useless green items, it also gives us another feat for more skill points

what do you guys think ?

Why not!? I loved the time when everybody was doing the CC bounties and I know ppl are still doing some from time to time but it's just not the same.

Maybe this will get people in CC once again.

And would also rejuvenate CC! I like it! I haven't even bothered trying to get CC feats on my alts, because it's so dead there now. They definitely need to do something.

I´m against the idea of cross fraction armor rewards.. I´m sry but i want to be a villian or a hero to be a villian or a hero. Imagne you could buy the batman suit as a villain or the joker suit as a hero. Makes it pretty pointless to have fractions dont you thinkg? Same goes for the CC styles. They are fraction specific for a reason. I think it was allready stupid to make everybody able to buy the armor of another mentor without gaining trusted in the reputaion bar.

But i have to admit the idea of getting somehting special to make CC more attractive again is worth looking at....We could probably figure out a way to tie "Identity Crisis" (the next time traveling themed DLC) into the CC storyline..maybe the boxes in CC could drop special mission that you can fullfill in the new raids?

They're pretty pointless already.

Reward boxes already give iconic armor from opposing factions, I've gotten Doctor Fates gloves, Power Girl's boots and Flash's boots in my reward boxes and I'm a Hero.

So this isn't anything new.

I think this is a great idea! Although I have seen more activity on the /lfg channel looking for CC bounty groups, their simply isn't enough interest on the villain side to run the bounties. We need a gimmick to draw more players to run CC bounties again...and I think this could be just what we need. +1

I can't think of anyone that would be against more style loot in the game.

Keep the MoT rewards the same and, in addition to the opposite faction gear idea, also add a chance to land the weapon styles.

It could possibly breath new life into Central City...I actually liked Central City and the bounties, but I can never find a group doing them hardly anymore

i agree with you deadshot not enough love to cc, devs show that place some love open the whole city up and do something with it

what makes my post even more accurate. Cross iconic styles like dr fate gloves or deathstroke chest are np considering they are tradeable and allready get sold out in the broker.

But armor that you actually have to pay with marks and money for should strictly stay Fraction Specific. Like you said whats the point of playing a fraction if its all the same? I´m not against your idea of making CC attractive again just against the idea of Hero/Villian styles dropping on the other side. They should work on making the Fractions alot more unique in their respective ways instead of trying to make them similiar

I get your point although, although I don't 100% agree with it. In any case if not gear how about Central City, Flash/Zoom and Reaper specific furniture drops. Things like:

• Flash/Zoom statues
• CC banners (can't remember their team name off the top of my head)
• Jitter's coffee cup espresso machine
• Flash museum poster
• Mini stabilized rupture

Also I brought this up in another thread, but a wanted bulletin board, that when you complete a given bounty 10x times you get a "caught" poster for the board. Obviously this wouldn't fit in the current model and would require some dev time.

excellent i would even go as far as implement CC based Amneties like Rapture Teleporters (to the hall of doom for example), A training dummy that looks like a rapture demon or even a rapture that can reset your powers. I think those energyballs look a bit cooler then the normal machines.

Also there is nothing wrong with gear..maybe A special Iconic DR Zoom armor for Villians and The armored version of the flash armor from the Cinematic for heroes? Just nothing that actually makes fractions less valid

I did notice the other day when I posted something on the podcast in December on lairs that they had a teleporter amenity in the inventory so I would suspect we will see that either way before too long. Perhaps with DLC8.

CC is my favorite dlc all good ideas here because its a ghost town in there now. You cant even find a group to do the big rup sometimes. in the last webcast the devs hinted about the reapers revoling and they are a different shade of color now. so I think they may do something with the reapers anyway .breaks my heart when I go into that area after the morning reset and theres like 4 or 5 people in there and they are mostly doing the reaper feat. You shout for abra or zoom and maybe a couple of people show up at best. that is if your lucky its a shame they really do need to do something with the area.

Yeah, I heard that too. Problem is, I don't see them opening up CC to purchasers of Origin Crisis alone. I imagine any reapers we see with that DLC will be outside of CC, unfortunately.

I support anything to revitalize Central City. I've been trying to run alts through there recently and it is almost impossible to get a group sometimes, especially for bounties.

Definitely, They should include just styles in the boxes too. I would rather have a chance at getting a ariel defender style without having to be a controller than have 10 items pop up that I can't wear anyways.
I'd rather delete styles I already have than gear that I don't have the style for but can't wear because of my role.
