Hello, recently I've downloaded EQII as I believe it is covered in SoEs all access plan. I am legendary on DCUO, but while playing EQII I am still referred to as a free-to-play, both games being under the same account. This is showing my membership in DCUO This is claiming I have an "active" membership with EQII - similarly to how DCUO has put it (assuming both must mean "legendary status") on the SoE website, no mention of DCUO. And here's my active membership on the EQII home page - but not including my SevenCash. Now I've heard that there may be a reason for EQII's membership not appearing for numerous reasons: 1. ProSeiben may be the one I pay for DCUO - this may be the case, however EQII still has an "active" membership 2."active" may mean not banned, but cancelling a membership usually means you can still play. 3.SoE all-access is currently not working as intended. If I was paying for ProSieben instead, so I do not get All-Access, that is a major annoyance. I believe that in order to continue playing DCUO for the same price and get All-Access I would most likely need to run the game through a different account, which would be a reset to my game data. I'm not willing to pay for both games memberships separately after the only reason I downloaded the second game purely for the access features (what All-Access is really there for). I have already filed a support ticket but I would like to know if I am wasting my time? Am I missing something? Or has something just gone wrong?
ProSiebenSat *may* be the one you pay for DCUO? Do you know who you're paying...? ProSiebenSat is a separate company that is licensed to offer DCUO and some other SOE games in Europe and they do not offer the All Access Plan so if you have a subscription with them it only covers DCUO.
It is ProSieben, isn't that a really bad thing? Paying the same amount as All-Access but only getting DCUO when there's no easy way to know things like this are going to happen. So if I want All-Access i will have to start DCUO on a new account, losing all my existing characters?
It's not even as simple as that I'm afraid. If you create a new Sony account you *should* be able to gain access to most of the current set of all access games but it's highly likely that (due to your location) you won't be able to access things like EQ Next/H1Z1 when they come out as European customers will be forced to access new games through ProSiebenSat. The fact that you can still access the current set is mostly due to the fact that on all except DCUO the migration was optional (and steam accounts were handled differently) so there are legitimate reasons to have an account based in Europe that has access to these games and their systems have to take account of that so you can somewhat get around the restrictions. It's unlikely that there will be such simple ways around these restrictions if you have any interest in any of their upcoming games. All in all it is a really horrible mess.
So what if I had a brand new account? Not everyone in Europe should be having this problem right? Or I could maybe change who I pay - may need a new account again
If you had a brand new SOE account (and paid them) you could access all the current All Access Plan games, but probably not any games that are introduced after this point and you would have to "lose" your original account since there is no way to transfer between the systems. There is still hope that ProSiebenSat will get their act together and sort out a similar plan for their European customers - at which point you'd be better off having stuck with them since it would then cover the current set and any new games. Really it's a gamble either way. And yes, everyone in Europe with a ProSiebenSat account is facing the same issue. In fact European players whose main game was something like EQ2 and deliberately chose NOT to migrate to ProSiebenSat when their games were switched over already can't play DCUO using their SOE account despite having an active paid up SOE account because all European accounts that were active at the time of the migration have been barred from DCUO. ><
Well right now I've got most alts 100+ on DCUO and have been playing over a year, but, It's gotten old for me recently. Whereas EQII is new and enjoyable for me. I guess I could always get a membership for EQII and then if I cant use my DCUO account as legendary, deal with it. I could always change back.
