Steam Fix "Stuck a Black Screen With SOE Logo"

    This may continue to happen after every Client Hotfox, or every Game Update.
    When Playing DC Universe Online On Steam and The LaunchPad will remain at the Black Screen with the SOE Logo. Here is a Fix for it.

    Issue: LaunchPad remains at black soe logo screen.
    Fix:
    Step 1: http://www.soe.com/getthegame
    Step 2: Click DCUO Game And Click Run and or click yes after.
    Step 3: Set Install Path to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DC Universe Online
    Step 4: Install
    Step 5: There will be a LaunchPad and it will do a 30k file check. No need to wait for the long install. Once done. close that LaunchPad and launch DCUO from steam.

    Another Fix:

    Step 1: Download the game from steam
    Step 2: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DC Universe Online
    Step 3: Open up Launchpad-user and copy and paste everything below

    digestURL=http://manifest.patch.station.sony..../launchpad/lp4-live/live/lp-dcuo-live.sha.soe
    appName=DC Universe Online
    appIcon=DCUO.ico
    id=dcuo
    width=887
    height=590

    [Logging]
    Address=

    [CrashReporter]
    Address=recap2.freerealms.net

    Step 4: Open the Launchpad application and wait this may take 30 seconds

    Note: This may only work for some and feel free to improve my fix.

    Super easy fix:
    Step 1: Download the game from steam
    Step 2: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DC Universe Online
    Step 3: Delete the Launchpad-user
    Step 4: Open the Launchpad application and wait this may take 30 seconds

    I looked it up and found that you need to manually delete every file of DCUO. To do this follow the steps below:

    1). Go to computer
    2). Then hard Disk Drives
    3). Program Files(x86)
    4). Look for Steam
    5). Go to steamapps and then common
    6). Look for DC Universe Online folder and delete it
    7). Download it from Steam again and follow one of my fixes.

    Note: Tell me if you have any problems and I'm guessing it didn't work because you got a bad download from Steam.

    Logged in to personally thank you Rashadjc, you sir are a life saviour! I had a LaunchPad connection issue and after attempting all of the 'recommended' fixes and all the tips from the moderators it still failed to launch and I was about to give up when a friend linked me to this post.

    It worked and now I'm able to play. I'll be linking others who are also experiencing the issue to this post. :)

    Ive done everything including this, Ive got 3 different version of DCUO downloaded now and I still cant play the game i used to play on Highest settings.
