They are talking about the stats you gain be gaining and using skill points. They aren't as important as they used to be, but they still matter to an extent.

    Oh ok thx

The game has been around 5.5yrs. For 4.5yrs stats mattered for your dmg or heals or dmg taken. For the last year its all been based on your cr. Its being changed and going back to how it used to be before at some point in the future.

Moat stats have ALWAYS come from your gear ...Gear = CR

Whatever u say. I never said anything about where stats come from or anything like that. So no clue where "bs" comes in. Ignored.

Stats primarily come from your gear but I'll tell you why you're not correct and try not to get upset.

First level stats come from gear however you'll then get op gear which will actually lower your cr but increase your stats.

At the current time op gear is blown into oblivion by cr differential far too quickly.

When stats drive performance that gear will be more valuable for the stats despite the fact wearing it will lower your cr.

Secondly you then have skill points. The more skill points the more stats you will see the difference between the performance of a 77sp skrubasaur vs a 200sp veteran at that point.

Then you have other boosts elite generator mods, stat generator mods, booster colas and compounds and then also gear mods.

All of these things will have a significant impact on your performance when stats drive performance.

At the moment the only factor driving damage is whether you have a high cr you can get away with zero mods as long as you know what you're doing and how to press 12345.

Have a nice day my friend

Hopefully the Stats Mattering goes back to AF2 days. When 112's would beat 114's because of SP and Mod's and stats.... this whole CR thing is pitiful and was an easy cop-out for new players to feel great.

looks more like you made it inaccurate.

I don't disagree with you on many points.
OP Gear being rendered useless (even with higher stat), Generator mods, stat boosting colas etc... These are all things that are additional besides your base SP and gear.

What I still can't get my head around is people seem to have forgotten where the majority of your stats actually come from and that is GEAR. Putting aside mods (which I wish still counted towards CR) SP has had very little actual effect once you get past say 120 maybe 140? I mean look at how the DPS role damage is calculated 7-1 and 10-1 for might and precision to increase 1 DPS.
If you have 1000 more precision than another player you are hitting for 142 dps more. Simply cycling double trinkets will net you a better result and how much more SP do you need to get 1000 more than the next person??

I get it, I really do. Every little bit helps, whether it's VIT / DOM / Health or whatever else you can get, but to assume that #statsmatter is going to make a large difference when or if it ever comes around then I think you'll be very disappointed. Because as my initial post stated (and understanding that proper modding is essential) that most (not all) of your role specific stats come from gear.

#StatsMatter is a catchphrase used by Mepps to advertise an upcoming update that will remove CR differential scaling and presumably roll back stat flattening which were introduced in GU47 last year. Since the forum seems to have another case of collective amnesia most people expect it to fix the game and make SP, mods etc more impactful and OP gear everlasting.
I could go into the math behind stat flattening, CR differential, and exponential stats but every time someone does that no one actually cares since apparently before GU47 SP and mods had a huge impact and OP gear was always the best gear.
