Ok i know some of you are not going to like this but it is something i have noticed on test. Tesla ball had 3 micro burst to it the it was changed becuase the players didnt like seeing the ball hover and do nothing. So the devs changed it to do dot 6 ticks smaller now. But i believe this is going to cuase an issue with electric staying competetive with other burst powers in the future. Loook at it this way when it was the 3 burst more adds were being hit with all the damage potential of teslaball now with the 6 ticks more adds will be gone before your power reaches its full potential in damage. Most times with burst powers in a group of adds the 5 and 6 tick are not hitting anything do to the fact the other dps have already eliminated the add. So it is wasted potential. So not only would i like to see the 3 micro burst returned a healing aspect added to itas well. This would give a 5th option for healing and damage load outs in healer role. And Flux to have a damage component added to it if the shield is broken early Now as in future aspects i would like to see a jacobs ladder effect added into the game example of a 500kva open switch leg and you can see what i mean by it.
Tesla is fine the way it is and works great in content. Its one of your best abilities for add damage. The only changes i'd like to see are some small increases in a few abilities like V-bolt, E-gen, E-burst, E-bomb. Also a 300 power cost burst for the electrified pi side would also be nice. Oh and Megavolt needs a slight bump up too.
I agree with all but E-Bomb and E-Burst. Thats the 2 strongest powers right there that you ask them to ramp up even further. Now to the other thing: Tesla Ball is in the middle field. It's not bad but also not super great. The duration of the ticks is fine. Honestly, StatsMatter is going to slow down add fights generally so 6 seconds is nothing at all. Thats easily in burst range. Generally, you wont run the Electrified PI build anyway cause it sucks compared to the Polarized one right now (may change in the future). Voltaic Bolts damage is subpar, Tesla Ball in the middle of the field and Electrocute is close behind Tesla Ball. And that is mostly due to the problem that the Electrified build is centered around DoTs and like HoTs on the healer side the DoTs are weak and mostly useless to begin with. Repulse (burst, polarized, 200 base power cost, 3s cd) does more damage without its PI than Electrocute (dot, electrified, 300 base power cost, 12s cd) or Voltaic Bolt (1 tick burst then dot for 12 s, electrified, 300 base power cost, 3s cd) or Tesla Ball (dot, electrified, 200 base power cost, 6s cd) with PI. The whole Electrified PI is in a bad state to begin with mainly because of DoT base numbers being set way too low by default. Remember, smth with more power cost is suppose to do more damage according to their equation. 2 out of the 3 powers cost more but do less damage.
I only ask those powers be brought up the slightest bit. E-burst could use a 1-2k base increase an E- bomb could use about the same so they can be a bit more on par with other similar power cost abilities. New powers have set a higher standard and it would just be nice to pick these up a tiny bit. Either that or increase Electrocute and the other dots some.
It would be better for them to bring up Electrocute first. It could be lined up with E-bomb and then we see how much else damage is missing on the Electrified PI side since Electrocute is catering to both PI builds.
U need to remember that Ele has Circuit Breaker available every 12 secs (60% buff IIRC) which can make those abilities you mention more powerful; while other powersets can rely on Neo venom, is still underpar and has a longer cooldown (45 secs). And, i prefer Tesla when it was more bursty, the first version with only 3 ticks of dmg.
Thats true, Polarized still performs better. A buff in Voltaic and overcharge could turn the tide tho.
Question and don't get me wrong the last thing I'm trying to do is rush this, but I've been hearing rumors that the Revamp will be live as early as June. Figured I would ask the testers if this is even possible? As I have only messed with the powers I use and by myself. So what are the chance that this is live next month???????
There is no date and I can tell you its super unlikely that StatsMatter hits june live. There is so many left to do, they only just finished pushing all powersets to test. The actual testing just has begun. There is a long road to go. Whoever gave you the date was either trolling you or misinformed itself as I can only repeat that there is no official date for any kind of release known yet.
You are correct about the no official date. However between hopefuls and eager beavers many believe there is a chance do to a few things that the devs habe said. The want to celebrate the dc movie with an dlc age of justice aqua man is reported to have a larger role then what was thoughtand hey why not the actor is kick ars maybe he would have been a better atrocities . You never know and the constant reminder that the devs are on a time crunch with how quickly they are moving through test now compared to the 3 first powers put on test.. So again i know no official word on the release yet. But wouldnt it be great to have it right as the knew dlc hits and water to. It would be a good day indeed. But most likely wont happen
They can go ahead ^_^ I already know 3-4+ consistent testers including myself that'll stop testing completely if stats gets released before it's ready, and I'm leaving early if I get a confirmation from Mepps saying that pvp on stats revamp isn't being changed before it goes live as a direct statement. I haven't heard anything from Dark and Penryn but if Gadgets doesn't make a 180, they're probably gonna be less motivated as well. Rumors of the normal PvP testers leaving testing as well is already out there and they've already left for other games with stats being the last shot for them. Without any pvp vets, any future pvp update is going to fail and they'd just lose the pvp community completely as if the current decline wasn't enough since test is more broken than live. Let them mess up one more time and see how many vet testers leave xD
So the Vets are leaving, minimum cr's are more effective , crappy power cost, 2-3 trolls, PVP still broken and uninteresting, less completion rates of instances, longer time in instances, beefed up tanks, Healers?, Huh? I will reserve judgment until final concept. But this seems as if no one will be completely happy. I am excited to learn new ways of playing not uniform for power regen but it seems like that it is still that way just with less control on the players part aside from heavy speccing into power. Still not a deal break. just curious as is this the best route. Patiently Waiting.
Only leaving if they ended up lying about there not being a planned release date or "things changed." No reason to force a release when there's still feedback or to release it to live without spending at least a month on pvp changes. If they can't even spend 1 month on pvp now during an update that wasn't supposed to have a set release date, any future pvp updates will end up half done like the last one from a set timed release and there's no point.
Are they going to test everything at once when Fire/Mun are done being looked at? I still like to see some changes be made. Especially since nearly every power might end up using Neo Venom after this revamp. It's a game changer SC and has potential but electric cannot use this move since we have Circuit Breaker. So you got to keep in mind how powers will work with Neo Venom as well. And look at all other powers and make sure their damage is balanced and on an even playing field with the other powers. And you have to compare if CB can still keep up with Neo Venom (CB is 12 seconds 65% damage buff vs Neo Venom's 45% damage buff of 15 seconds). Plus Megavolt, E-Gen, And E-Bomb could still use a buff. I'm not sure about the other powers. What's Electric's heavy hitter power? Shockwave or Static Push? Fire's heavy hitter power cost 400. Do all Powers have a heavy hitter power? I know the devs are still focusing their week on Fire/Mun atm before returning back to revisit everything as a whole. I can wait but I just want everything to be even and the same. Nothing broken or FotM Power or something clearing outperforming the other powers.
I'm in the process of testing all powers full out with supers included and everything is looking pretty close for the powers that are in the same base ranges. A lot of things still need adjustments so its hard to say specifics right now but stuff isn't to far off. When we get to final adjustments everything should fall in line. And electrics hard hitter is ebomb for range and eburst for melee and both cost 300 power.
