Why not? Parses r timed, people still use them regardless, people get interrupted in raids regardless and/or die, parses are timed by how many x seconds, SO WHY not? Please explain

The devs theory is that they want people running content to test rotations.

I strongly disagree, content does not help determine what rotation is the best, since there is many other variables that can skew results. It was a mistake to remove power from the dummies.

It's more like the theoretical numbers that come from the dummy testing were throwing off what could work in practical situations. I don't mind the no power option, since it used to be way better than a controller ontop of the power back mechanic.

I do think they should remove the CRs of them though, considering people still think CR Differential is at play and that they should be bumped up to our CR for some reason. lol

I don't mind the lack of power back, it allows me to test how power hungry my rotation is.
But it would be nice if there was a cog on the sparring targets that allowed you to choose two things on the target one choice would be power back yes or no, and the cr level of the sparring targets say in a 10 to 15 cr jump or so.

But CR doesn't matter. Your numbers are still the same... I am pretty sure they either have no defense or static minimal defense. CR only mattered for testing damage with the Differential being in play. Where you couldn't get an accurate representation of damage if you were more or less than the dummy. Because you would get a boost/nerf.

The dummies have enough health to take damage and unless you are one shotting like AMs of old, you will be fine. As that attack that does 1000 damage to a CR1 dummy will still do 1000 damage to a CR1000 dummy.

That would seem to be true but it seems since stat revamp you do more damage to newer content then older content. Not just the newest content because of the head augments.
I could be wrong. It has been a few weeks since I've really tested it.

Content itself is the devs balance. Early content testing of stat changes, they did a sweeping lowering of health and attack in a lot of the content. So it's the NPCs you are fighting that are weaker since there is no AM you can rely on to kill them faster than they can hurt you.

I don't know the new formula for defense, but it was what actually mattered with the changes for damage. So before it goes to health, it has to go through defense. Dummies I believe have a set or no defense that doesn't change.
