Sorcery Might buff

    WoD is the only one that procs might damage immediately after use. The cooldown works a bit differently too. WoD also applies bad karma to the effected enemy, so in place of a buff it casts a PI. It's heavily damage oriented and has always worked just fine, especially as a staple power prior to sorcs revamp, where sorcs burst potential was in the gutter.

    I have 171sp and over 5k might so I dont think thats a problem but u do understand that we're already sacrificing 2 power slots already for the pet right? Meaning that we can use one of those 2 slot for the might buff or maybe not because if anything WoD would be the one to get it but somehow I doubt it a little too tho because if that happens WoD would get a slightly cooldown increase. The thing is that if we do get this buff theres plenty of space for it. It can even replace soul storm sense that power never gets replace or enhance the way it should for unknown reason...

    Fires weapon buff gives a might buff now. Ice quantum and sorcery all have a high chance of doing extra might damage with each weapon attack.

    Pet has the wm crit exclusion for Sorc. Maybe that's why you're having trouble.

    Sorcery wod proc immediately usind certain weapon combos like staff, 2h, and brawling WM. Ice's ice bash have one of the best buffs, the damage from ice bash get the crit bonus from wm, and it gives chill pi.

    The value's are lower but the easy of gaining RSA and the duration has to be considered as well. Yout literally have to do nothing to gain RSA other than have a sorcery pet out (any pet) or have an active soul well when something dies.

    RSA last for 60 seconds, and stacks for a total of 6% crit chance. So it's a little lower than just about every crit buff in the game, but it last longer and takes no real effort to maintain. It does lack any kind of dmg buff but meh. Far as I know it's also a group buff and giving everyone 6% boost to crit chance is a huge thing in the era of WM where weapon attacks do thousands on crit and would give almost everyone in the party a 100% chance of WM crits no matter how low their SP.

    As for WoD my only real complaint is it doesn't seem to work with every weapon attack. Some of the WM combo's don't seem to proc the effect. Duel wields flurry shot works fine, but duel wields Hold Hold Impact arrow thing doesn't seem ever proc on the 2nd hit of the combo. Nor does it always go off when I use brawling into shuriken storm. It's an 8 hit combo you'd think it work great but meh...

    You're refusing to listen to logic and keep pining for a might buff. The might buff pales in comparison to the straight up might damage that WoD can do. If WoD were to receive an additional might buff, the cooldown would get increased, and more importantly, the damage (and WoDs healthy crit range) will get hit hard with the nerf bat. A might increase over might damage is akin to asking for the raw damage of a weapon to be lowered in favor of more might and precision stats on the weapon. The raw damage effects dps far more than the passive stat buff.

    As far as pets go, every power type that is going to have pets as its AM is going to sacrifice at least two powers to keep the pet and it's stump dumb AI recharged. Don't use the pet AM, as if you have the gear and SP, you yourself should be much more powerful than the pet, and much more efficient with power usage.

    Where sorcery stands as a power set (and this has been said before) is above many of the current power sets. As some power sets don't even have their AM yet, and sorcery isn't underperforming at all, there's no need to buff anything. Take it from somebody that has played sorc main since beta launch and then went on to compare the other powers first hand. Sorcery is gold tier, and it's revamp was one of the few that actually did the powerset justice. Mental, Ice, Quantum, Hard Light, and the rest of Nature, possibly fire, need more attention. By the time they get their revamps there may not be much of a population left to use them.

    If anything I would say shorten the cooldown of offering because pets run out of power fast, but otherwise sorcery is fine.

    Did you just list powers or do they have some sort of context in order ? If you are not doing well with Sorcery I don't know what to tell you. Fire is fine burst wise but the AM is lacking, it needs tweaking.

    I have a few sorcery characters and I'm wondering if you have played any of the other powers? Gold Aura and Red Aura are the might buff for the power. You probably don't realize it if you haven't spent time analyzing the difference with the other powers. Weapon of destiny helps out also.

    Sorcery's fine the way it is, it always have been even before the AM you just gotta know what you doing.

    My list is based off of what I see, I guess the fire dpses I see must be using the AM then. But I use sorc fine but it'd be nice to get WoD buffed, maybe hit AOE when you hit AOE or give us a might buff with it, or even increase it's duration would be nice.

    RSA is not a might buff, it just increases the dmg done by some powers just like BK, the only difference is is that RSA only comes up when you have defeated enemies and have a power out that uses that to give you RSA.

    Can someone tell me how much damage the fury is doing? im sorcery and the main reason i picked it was for the pets. but i havent used them cuz they used to suck and i got used to running without it, but if ppl are critting for 20k with wm how is the fury beating that?

    Fury has gotten a ninja nerf over the past 2 weeks, he used to hit about 3500 consistently and now he averages about 2500 so he's not worth it anymore. The fury does hit hard though and still is pretty good as long as you know your lo and rotation with him.

    It has two effects. It's a PI for a handful of powers and only one of which, Boon of Souls, actually consumes the RSA. The other is in DPS role it grants a 3% crit attack buff to anyone in your group within line of sight when something dies. It last 60 seconds and stacks up to a total of 6% crit chance. Like I said before it's not as high as most other powers which give at least a 10% crit atk bonus. It gives no dmg bonus nor any stats but it's very easy to maintain in most settings. Only time your really left out with RSA is boss type settings where there are no adds to kill to renew it like Mantis in Breach.

    Exactly we only get it if we use specific moves that grant it to us only when something dies, and it's not as strong as other powers'. So... Buff it or change it somehow?

    Buff threads on already top tier powers? o_O And I thought endless nerf threads were annoying.
