Something really needs to be done (High CR Problems)

I agree with Solar, stat clamping is not the way to go. After passing a tier we have earned the right to run through that tier, killing everything in sight with the slightest effort. If they start lowering stats most higher levels are going to be a lot less willing to help people out.

I may not have expressed my thoughts clearly enough. Not a giant re-write. Aggro already goes to the character that is the biggest threat if there is no tank involved. Just simply make it so the highest CR dps or tank gets all the aggro. It's not that big of a change.

I know what you all are getting to about stat clamping not being an option because I am not for it either, I would never get anything done if they did however, at the same time mmo's for decades other than this that I know of clamp you if you are doing lower content. Without stat clamping or all things being able to walk into the lower cr people are doomed because some higher cr's don't take others feelings into consideration.

The only possible solution I have came up with is assuming they made walkins for literally everything, & clamped only if you random que. One other solution I just though of is making it against tos to steamroll. Ffxiv if you ruin someone's else's gameplay it is reportable and potentially bannable depending on the dev & circumstances. However, they have a lot more moderation than this game could ever think of!

I stand by my idea of them just adding an R&D plan for consumable space fillers of some sort.

If you are at max stats for one tier above that is far in the que up because when you que u say you are will to work as a team with what ever you get so us higher tied should have to make our own groups or be clamped to 1 tier above that raid you clam you are willing to run as a team
  6. Gimpy Loyal Player

There are only 2 real solutions,

return walk-ins(walk-ins already allow for groups)

and don't use the excuse of q times being to long because there won't be any High CR queing because it will actually place people of like CRs together for the low CR players.

Fix the Que to allow for solo or accept present Group option.

I would prefer a 3rd but doesn't look like that 3hr ban will ever change. You can't kick a jerk replacing the 1st jerk for 3 hrs..

Just make pre made groups un clamped

Forgive me, but you are 124 healer in a T2 raid?

    The usual answer,

    "Form Your own Group"

Wanted to add: only if they can make walk ins for all content. I want that to be perfectly clear.

Guess its just a coincidence but I was actually DPSing a Kahndaq run today with 2 lowbies where someone said the exact same thing "burn him slow or he will bug".
Except Adam didn't bug and the one guy that was 130ish was also dpsing.

You can't keep high cr's from going in lower content, people need styles, feats, collections, base items and such.
I am pretty sure most high CR's would be perfectly happy in using a walkin if it was available and just solo the instance, except in case where you need to hit switches or whatever simultaneously like Kahndaq.
Also i don't think you should blame the high cr's if any boss does bug due to high damage, thats on the devs. I mean if something does not work how its supposed to work then something is wrong with it.

I think that ALL content in the game should have different modes of difficulty. For example, back when I played Phantasy Star Online, you had: Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Ultimate Mode. I would like to see DC Universe implement something similar, which would give higher combat rating players access to the old content, while remaining relevant to their level, and let the lower-tiered players enjoy content as it was meant to be played at their level.

I'd say the best solution for the OP is to attempt to form own group at a certain CR.

"IF" Stat Clamping is revisited leave it as OPTIONAL, please.

From my experience roughly HALF of the high CRs are busting through content as you state. It's a thorny situation because in SOME cases those high CR players busting through content are ALTS and they are simply trying to get their toon leveled up faster.

I've also seen cases where players simply don't pay attention to queues. I've done LD every week for last several months and more than HALF the time a few of the players that queue for it are AFK or not paying attention and GET LEFT BEHIND while the rest of us are moving ahead.

Just a few days ago, myself and TWO other high CRs WAITED outside of the first boss room for Lockdown while 2 or 3 other players were apparently AFK or not paying attention for some reason. Of course EVENTUALLY someone got tired of waiting and zoomed on ahead to start the fight.......

Again - I'd suggest to LOWER CRs to get familiar with LFG and form their OWN groups AT the CR they desire. Do this enough times and they'll be able to keep higher CRs out of things.

Also for OP - as a 124 Healer in a raid like Khandaq you can really make lower CRs experience better so I applaud you for that.

TBH I find if HILARIOUS that 170s are even doing Khandaq - even though it's their right. The LOWEST I'll queue up for is FOS's on up. I still queue for this stuff for the BASE ITEMS mostly - to fund my in-game experience.

I agree with you totally but the concept of the games team work has to be saved as well

This would work to this was suggested a while back I forgot until you mentioned it.

I don't know, friend. Whenever I had to get into a low tier raid/alert, be it for a feat or for a mission, I simply sit back and only jump in to save someone from dying, or I take an alternative route and kill mobs that aren't part of the main route. When fighting bosses I also try to draw the aggro so they can fight him at peace, unless they die, in which case I kill the boss to stop a wipe.

Yes. Playing as a team. I miss your point. Oh, I understand what you think your point is, but you are incorrect.

Not at all. It's the origin of most problems, drama, discussions.... Take away the forced team work factor and everyone can do what they want. #bestgearinsolos #allstylesonvendors :D

Walk-ins still don't fully solve the problems the OP is talking about. He mentioned running Sub-Construct...there's a walk-in for that and the other two Batcaves (Inner being the only one that's more or less impossible to solo because of that one section where you help Catwoman and have to hit 4 cogs around the same time).

The rude Cr170 person could have EASILY walked in and ran that solo...they opted to queue up instead. Chances are good that this person was one of the newer power-leveled players that is probably unaware of the few walk-in portals we have. Hell, you didn't even pick up on this, which tells me that a lot of people are unaware of the many walk-in portals we do have. While some don't know about the portals, others are just too lazy to do anything but just use the on-duty menu (which is sad, since all you have to do is just teleport to HQ and voila...pick a portal and go).

The issue the OP brings up is two-fold: There needs to be a way to solo queue/or bring in under the minimum number of players into instances and/or add some kind of clamping to prevent higher levels from blowing past everything and leaving at level players to clean up the mess. The problem is that the majority of players would not accept stat clamping of any kind if it's involuntary or unavoidable. It would feel like a total negation of our progress. We've gone too many years under the current system to try to put that genie back in the bottle. It would be the final straw that breaks this game's back.

So the only other solution is the forced solo/under-minimum queue...but it would seem that either the Devs don't have the tech to implement it right or the man-power to make it happen right now (or quite possibly both). Adding more walk-ins only solves one portion of the equation (the ability to go in solo or with a smaller crew to wreck shop), but it does absolutely jack-all for the dipwads that queue up even when portals are available and proceed to ruin other people's experience.

And so round and round we go with this thread topic...and i'm not saying this to rudely discourage people from posting this topic yet again...just pointing out that nothing will be resolved having this discussion again until some other major changes happen. What those changes are...who knows...this subject gets brought up almost every other week, and no one seems to be able to come up with an actual solution the Devs can realistically act upon.

Sadly, only one option truly exists to combat this problem...and it's by no means a perfect solution...form your own group. No need to remind me of how difficult that is...but it's the ONLY currently viable solution to the problem of random queuing.
