I'll gladly believe that but it seems to me that each decision of this type also increases frustration for the 20 who would have bought this and more in the future which might lead to these frequent forum complaints we can see about MP pricing. Now I'm not an economics professional but I'd like to argue that these decisions can bring in more revenue in the short term for a particular product but the lower price point might keep players satisfied and more willing to stay around and spend cash in the long term.

Personally... The one thing that will get me logging back in to DCUO (I'm still subbed, and I most likely always will be as I believe in supporting the games I play)... Is style purchasing from alts. Any word?

No, that actually clears up a lot of stuff tbh.
Now that's only for PvE. The only thing soders are useful for in all reality is buffing. Cleanse soders are a waste and other things such the like are too. Extremes made crafting the highest soders a waste of time space and money.. how would you expand on soders?

BTW, have you guys tried to get pvp monetization going?
Goodness gracious.. you need that mode to be lucrative and appeal to the masses. Not a small crowd.

Personally I think this kind of information needs to be communicated so we're not constantly making noise about it in a vain attempt.

Please tell the guys to add more base item sets, and newer like Third World or Kryptonian, I would be great if I could just buy a whole set of Kryptonian base items since most times I get the same one from Ep 20 to 23. Also can they add seasonal base items, they can be excluded from feats so you would still need to buy them from the vendor, but it would be very helpful for players that have alts and only need the items but not the feat. And any plans at all to expand bases, I don't mean making them League Hall size, but at least something like Police/Nightclub size, as they are bases are very limited with spaces and some items are really hard to place because of that.

It's not entirely unrelated as many of the objectors to the ultimates are objecting to the obscene pricing for a stack of 12 disposable soders. Price adjustment would be a way to address those of us who see this as a tax on the uninformed and a steep one at that.

If i was brand new to this game and bought a stack of ultimates at $2 only to discover through gameplay that I essentially was ripped off by the MP I doubt I would stick aroubd to become a longterm customer.

Or sell it at a higher price when it's new, then lower it over time. This is how almost all products work.

Edit: Or if something isn't selling, then lower the price.

I can see the LFG's now...."Looking for <insert role here> for <insert instance here> MUST HAVE CR167+, 230+ SP AND SODER COLA ULTIMATE"

Right. Lower the price of stuff that doesnt sell well. And i just noticed something on the MP, 1k escrow? Who is buying that? That seems like a silly item to me. But done posting on the other MP stuff. Dont want to go off topic anymore.

I really think we need to get materials based on a few auras like plasmic and maybe the mist and solar they need to be in the marketplace by themselves no more of this luck junk . I also think we should see some eyes, hand ,head and feet auras .

Mepps, I've never been heartfelt with you but trust me when I say these Ultimate sodas are a step in the wrong direction only because of the buff. Players should not be able to buy stats, regardless of the duration, in the Marketplace. I know the true Devs, the ones we've all grown to love, had nothing to do with this because you all know how much the community has and always will hate the idea of "Pay to Win" and this is definitely a step in that direction, even if it is a baby step.

This won't be a problem that will magically go away like seasonal nerfs threads or water threads but will have a lingering effect that will effect the community in ways the Devs don't want it to. New players don't even need that 1% buff and money is easy to get leveling up, you just kill things! It's not hard. Maybe Jack should find some skill. All joking aside, the idea is wonderful and perfect, just get rid of that buff. We all know exactly why it was implemented, whoever is doing this needs to stop treating us like fools because we see right through things like this.

Are any of Jacks other games like this?

After all, i don't see anyone buying this... It's just like buying a compound omega (1-10k) and a stack for extreme sodas (1.2k) for $2... If it was a 100% soda without the buff for 20sc...
I just hope we don't see more things like this in the future, that give the players a advantage for paying 1 or 2 dollars.

Everyone is but they're clearly more concerned with P2W items and consumables.

So then the next natural suggestion here is to invest resources in making styles less time intensive than it should be. In other words, this may mean hiring staff or a contractor or redirecting existing employees to make new tools to create the styles instead of just working within the barriers. Some money spent up front may have a long-term payoff.

Style unlocking will make them significant money via more replay badge sales. It's unlikely they'd deliberately delay it.

They're not holding things back out of spite or incompetence.

A small number of people can only do so many things at once, particularly given that almost all of them specialize and can't simply be removed from one sort of project to be put on another in all cases.
