So why do we need to remove AM again?

YES bring the revamp, the days of my subscription are counted.

We get it, you like AMs. If PFtT isn't enough to satisfy you then I don't know what to say except you're being too picky and probably better off leaving anyway. It may not do op damage or have the insane power regen that AM has, but it has freedom of choice to use whatever powers you want.

Dont let the door hit you on the way out man. I don't see how players think its normally on a mmo that pretty much very does elite level damage with simplicity thats not normally mmo game play ..

The same people that wanted this crap will be the ones coming back complaining about the revamp, including yourself. GUARANTEED!!;)

Why would I be complaining when I'm actually participating in testing it and know what's going to live servers? Have you tested it? Or just going by word of mouth?

When you give people candy without ever teaching them the value of earning it themselves, don't be surprised when they get angry if you try to take it away from them and suddenly expect them to earn it.

This whole "new generation" of DCUO players is WM/AM reliant, an adjusting phase is unavoidable.
A lot of people will likely leave aswell, which I believe makes this sudden change of heart a bad business move - However, I personally am very happy it's happening.

Damage output and its accessibility increased over the years ridiculously, it over-simplified the game, harming it in the long run, and stream-lined it in the short run.

There's a saying in Hebrew that roughly translates to: "Same lady different attire", It means just the appearance changed but the content is the same - I'm just hoping this whole revamp doesn't end up being a good example of that saying.

You know I find it funny that so many people in here are more or less saying that if you don't like the revamp then leave. The last couple of post say it. Yet Those same people hate the way the game is now on live, I could just as easily say take your own advice

These players walk around here on the forums with bells on thinking they know what is "best" for the game, posting in almost every single thread about how the OP was wrong or " just get over it" but hate the way the game is played on live. So many hypocrites on here.

These forums is what is killing the game. It's not the devs, Its not the player base, Its the hand full of players on here that bash and tell other player to "just leave". Yea that is really good for the game. I'm so about done with this whole game. Between the changes and this stupid hate everywhere on the forums.

Soul thats the boat im in with the game, the players now are so use to how easy thimg are currently that they think its normal and how the game should be. That kind of stuff as you said hurt the game in the long run. And when the revamp comes a lot of people indeed will be upset that they no longer will be able to do what they was doing with ease with no sps. The change needs to happen cause in the long run more people will stick with a mmo when they struggle and have to learn things beating the hardest content in a mmo is rewarding in dcuo for the past few years now is given.

Except the difference is the revamp is niether out, nor close to being completed yet people think they can judge it as if it's in its final form. Your statement about hypocrisy is true, im one of those that dislikes the AM, thing is, if the devs didn't feel as if AMs failed, they wouldn't be trying to remove them. So of course you can tell us to leave if we don't like it. We'll just come right back in a few months only to replace you and a few others as you guys leave.

Mhm, like in life, if you are not taught the value of hard work, you will not apperciate your reward.
The player base of DCUO past a certain point is used to over simplified mechanics and an instant reward, this is not only bad for the game's diversity, it will also not keep them playing the game for long since they never put any effort into it.

There is more than enough of the revamp out to get a good direction is where it is going. True it not finished, but regardless the things they have taken out and change will more or less stay the same.

The only reason the AM's are being removed is because of the coding nightmare from over the years and the people in here that complain so much about having to stick to one loadout to great damage, or how the AM's are to easy to use. That dose not mean they should just throw it away.

What are you going to do if you have more than half the player base leave because of this "revamp"? You going to replace all of them to? The people on the forums should NEVER have to say " We'll just come right back in a few months only to replace you and others". That is telling me you are ok to lose a any number of players to get what you want done.
  18. MyDpsIsBetter Dedicated Player

You hit that right on the head, that rewardimg feeling when you first beat inner, prime, sub at release having to use to work and accept at times that someone wasn't ready and had to be replaced. People think that means ur elitist no simply practice more get better gear get even better then before you when you beat it, its rewarding to you. That feeling has been gone for awhile hence players leave after every dlc/ep

No one should ever tell someone else to just leave, or be dismissive and rude for no reason, with that I agree with you.

But if you made any attempt researching this matter you would've found AM/WM and even the Immunity System or our current Counter Windows were all additions to this game, most of them introduced a year or more past this game's release.

Your attachment to a system you came to rely on is understandable, because you never knew anything else. I don't think anyone should force their preferences on you, and infact you cannot be forced to play the game on other people's terms.

I think this is the original statement behind the rather direct/rude comments you were replied with - if you are unwilling to adjust to these changes, your only alternative is to stop playing the game.

Can I ask, what is the difference between AM and PFtT? Besides having to spec into power, what makes PFtT that much different from the AM that it's enough to make people quit? You spam only tray abilities in both, PFtT offers much more variety, it still has passive power regeneration, I want your detailed opinion on what you think makes it so much different from advanced mechanics. Curious to you and others PoV.

As far as your other parts, the goal the Revamp is aiming for is variety and longevity, holding people's interests, making it easier for new players to dive into the game and still be effective without having to learn some one trick pony rotation, letting them play how they want. If the revamp proves to offer more longevity then AMs, people can leave all they want. They'll only get replaced by folks that will stay and be adapted to the new state of the game.
